( MYSTERY SPOT )

HOTEL ROOM
[ ☼ ]

Closeup of Sam's closed eyes. Radio Heat of the moment Sam's eyes snap open. Sam sits up in bed and ends up waking Elena up in the process.

Telling you what your heart is.

"Rise and shine, Sammy!" Dean is sitting on the other bed, tying his shoes.

"Dude. Asia?" Sam asks.

"Come on, you love this song and you know it." Dean says. Elena gets up to go to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"Yeah, and if I ever hear it again I'm gonna kill myself." Sam says.

Dean turns up the volume. "What? Sorry, couldn't hear you."

It was the heat of the moment

Dean starts bopping along. Sam shakes his head.

Heat of the moment Heat of the moment Showed in your eyes

Dean gargles loudly and long. Sam tries to ignore him long enough to brush his teeth. Dean grins and Elena laughs.

HOTEL ROOM
[ ☼ ]

"Whenever you're ready, Dean." Sam says.

Dean pulls out a black bra. "This yours?" He asks and Sam glares. Dean laughs, rummages in the bag some more, and pulls out a gun. "Bingo." Dean goes past Sam to the door. "Now who's ready for some breakfast?"

DINER
[ ☼ ]

The door chimes as Sam and Dean enter. Cashier gives Mr. Pickett some change. "Drive safely now, Mr. Pickett."

"Yeah, yeah."

"Order up."

Sam, Elena and Dean find a booth. "Can't stay unless you order something, Cal. You know the rules." A waitress says. Cal passes her some change.

"Some coffee." Cal says.

Dean notices a poster on the wall. "Hey. Tuesday. Pig in a poke." He says.

"You even know what that is?" Elena asks.

Enter a Waitress, whose nametag says Doris. "You boys ready?" She says.

"Yes. I'll have the special, side of bacon and a coffee." Dean says.

"Make it two coffees and a short stack." Sam says.

Elena raises her hand. "I'll just have waffles with a side of bacon." She says.

"You got it." Doris says and walks away.

"I'm telling you, Sam, this job's small fry. We should be spending our time hunting down Bela." Dean says.

"Okay, sure, let's get right on that-where is she again?" Sam asks.

"Shut up."

"Look, believe me, I want to find her as bad as you do. In the meantime, we have this." Sam pulls out some papers.

"All right, so this professor." Dean says. The headline on the newspaper clipping reads "MISSING - DEXTER HASSELBACK LAST SEEN IN BROWARD, FLORIDA".

"Dexter Hasselback was passing through town last week when he vanished." Sam says.

"Last known location?" Dean asks.

"His daughter says he was on his way to visit the Broward County Mystery Spot." Sam says.

Dean turns over a flyer. The front has a large question mark and the words "Broward County Mystery Spot". The back says "E=MC2?", "A=πR2?", and "F=GM1M2/R22?" below the lines Dean reads aloud. "Where the laws of physics have no meaning."

Doris arrives with a tray with two coffees and a bottle of hot sauce. "Two coffees, black, and some hot sauce for the-" She gasps as the hot sauce falls off the tray and smashes on the floor. "Whoops. Crap! Sorry. Cleanup!"

STREET
[ ☼ ]

A dog barks as Sam, Elena and Dean pass. Dean grabs the Mystery Spot flyer from Sam's hands. "Sam, joints like this are only tourist traps, right? I mean, you know, balls rolling uphill, furniture nailed to the ceiling, they're only dangerous to your wallet." Dean says.

"Okay, look, I'm just saying, there are spots in the world where holes open up and swallow people. The Bermuda Triangle, uh, the Oregon Vortex-" Sam starts.

"Broward County Mystery Spot?" Elena asks.

"Well sometimes these places are legit." Sam says.

"All right, so if it is legit, and that's a big-ass if, what's the lore?" Dean asks.

"Well-" Sam starts and Dean collides with Blonde Girl, who is carrying a stack of paper.

"Excuse me." She says.

"The lore's pretty frigging nuts, actually. They say these places the magnetic fields are so strong that they can bend spacetime, sending victims no one knows where." Sam says.

"Sounds a little X-Files to me." Dean says.

Sam, Elena and Dean pass two movers trying to get a desk in a door. "Told you it wouldn't fit." Mover one says.

"What do you want, a Pulitzer?" Mover two says.

"All right, look, I'm not saying this is really happening, but if it is, we gotta check it out, see if we can do something." Sam says.

"All right, all right, we'll go tonight, after they close, get ourselves a nice long look." Dean says.

MYSTERY SPOT
[ ☾]

The hallway is neon green with a black double spiral painted on the walls and door. The door opens to reveal Sam, Elena and Dean with flashlights. Sam closes the door behind them. They move up the hallway. Sam pulls out the EMF reader.

Dean shines the flashlight around and up onto a table, lamp, and ashtray attached upside-down to the ceiling. "Wow. Uncanny." He says.

Sam examines another table with a wine glass and a poultry dinner, this one at an angle to the floor. They both move on. "Find anything?" Elena asks.

Sam, holding the unresponsive EMF meter. "No." He says.

"You have any idea what you're looking for?" Dean asks.

"Uh, yeah." Sam says and Dean raises his eyebrows. "No." Dean shakes his head.

They both shine flashlights around other parts of the room. "What the hell are you doing here?" Someone asks. Sam turns to look. Dean points his flashlight and handgun at the voice.

The Owner has a gun aimed at Dean. Dean points his gun elsewhere. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, we can explain." He says.

The Owner points the gun at Sam. "You robbing me?" He asks.

"Look, nobody's robbing you, calm down." Sam says.

The Owner points the gun back at Dean. "Don't move!" He yells.

"Just putting the gun down." Dean says and The Owner fires. Dean falls.

"Dean!" Sam rushes to Dean. Dean struggles to breathe. "Hey!" Sam looks at the Owner. "Call 911."

"I-I didn't mean to-"

"Now!" Elena yells. The Owner leaves.

"Hey, hey, oh, no, no, no, not like this..." Sam says and Dean goes still. His eyes close. Sam watches, devastated.

Closeup of Sam's closed eyes. Radio Heat of the moment Sam's eyes snap open. Sam sits up in bed and stares around.

Telling you what your heart is

"Rise and shine, Sammy!" Dean is sitting on the other bed, tying his shoes. Sam stares at him, then at the clock radio.

The heat of the moment Showed in your eyes

"Dude. Asia." Dean says.

Elena sits up in bed also. "What the hell?" She asks.

Sam keeps staring, breathing hard. "Dean." Sam says.

"Oh, come on, you love this song and you know it." Dean turns the volume up and starts bopping along, exactly like the first time. Sam stares after him.

Dean gargles loudly and annoying. Sam drinks some water, swishes, and spits. Dean notices Sam's lack of reaction and spits out his mouthful. "What?" Dean asks.

"I don't know." Sam says.

"You all right?" Dean asks.

"I think I-" Sam pauses. "Man, I had a weird dream."

"Yeah? Clowns or midgets?" Dean asks.

DINER
[ ☼ ]

The door chimes as Sam, Elena and Dean enter. The Cashier gives Mr. Pickett some change. "Drive safely now, Mr. Pickett."

"Yeah, yeah."

Sam, Elena and Dean find a booth. Sam is staring around, bewildered. "Can't stay unless you order something, Cal. You know the rules." The Waitress says.

Cal passes her some change. "Coffee." He says.

Dean notices a poster on the wall. "Hey. Tuesday. Pig in a poke." He says.

Sam glances between Dean and the poster. "It's Tuesday?" Sam asks.

"Yeah." Dean says.

"Are you guys ready?" The Waitress asks.

Elena looks around, realizing that this has all happened before. She didn't want to tell Sam or Dean, feeling like it was her own nightmare.

"Yes, I'll have the special, side of bacon and a coffee." Dean says. Sam stares for a minute.

"Uh, nothing for me, thanks." Sam says.

"Me too." Elena says and Sam looks at her with raised eyebrows. She just shrugs.

"Let me know if you change your mind." Doris says.

"I'm telling you, Sam, this job's small fry. We should be spending our time hunting down Bela." Dean says as Sam stares after Doris.

"Hey." Dean snaps his fingers at Sam. "You with me?"

"What?" Sam asks.

"You sure you feeling okay?" Dean asks.

Sam sighs. "You don't-you don't remember? Any of this?" He asks.

"Remember what?"

"This. Today. Like it's-like it's happened before?" Sam asks.

"You mean like déjà vu?" Dean asks.

"No, I mean like, like it's really happened before."

"Yeah. Like déjà vu." Says Dean.

"No, forget about déjà vu. I'm asking you if it feels like, like we're living yesterday all over again."

"Okay, how is that not dé-" Dean starts.

Sam, angry. "Don't, don't say it! Just don't even..." He says.

Doris arrives with a tray with one coffee and the hot sauce. "Coffee, black, and some hot sauce for the-oops! Crap!" She yells.

Sam notices the hot sauce wobble on the tray and catches it as it falls. Doris gasps. Sam stares at the bottle in his hand and gives it back.

"Whoa." Elena says.

"Thanks." Doris puts down the bottle and leaves.

"Nice reflexes." Dean says. Sam doesn't say anything.

STREET
[ ☼ ]

The dog barks as Sam and Dean pass. Sam stares back over his shoulder. "Sam, I'm sorry, but I don't know what the hell you're talking about." Dean says.

"Okay, look, yesterday was Tuesday, right? But today is Tuesday too." Sam says.

"I believe you." Elena says. "It's happening to be too."

"Yeah. No. Good. You're totally balanced." Dean says.

"So you don't believe me?" Sam asks Dean.

Dean laughs and collides with Blonde Girl. "Excuse me." She says.

"Look, I'm just saying that it's crazy, you know, I mean, even for us crazy. Dingo ate my baby crazy." Dean says. "Hey, maybe it was another of your psychic premonitions."

"No, no way, way too vivid. Okay, look, we were at the Mystery Spot, and then-" Sam starts.

"And then what?" Dean asks.

"Then I woke up." Sam says.

Sam, Elena and Dean pass the Movers. "Told you it wouldn't fit." Says Mover One.

"What do you want, a Pulitzer?" Mover Two says.

"Wait a minute! The Mystery Spot. You think maybe it-" Elena starts.

"Maybe what?" Dean asks.

"We gotta check that place out, man. Look, just, go with me on this, okay?" Sam asks.

"All right, all right, we'll go tonight, after it closes, get ourselves a nice long look." Dean says.

Sam realizes what Dean said and whips around. "Wait, what? No." Sam says.

"Why not?" Dean asks.

"Uh. Let's just go now. Right now. Business hours, nice and crowded." Sam says.

"My God, you're a freak." Dean says.

"Dean." Elena warns.

"Okay. Whatever. We'll go now." Dean walks a few feet ahead of Sam and looks to his right as he enters the street.

A car slams into him from his left. "Dean!" Sam and Elena rush to Dean. "Dean, no, no, no."

Dean has blood on his face and is barely moving. Sam turns him over and picks him up. "Come on, Dean." Elena says.

Mr. Pickett leans out of the now-stopped car. Sam stares at him, then back at Dean. "Hey. Dean."

"He isn't moving." Elena says with tears in her eyes.

"Dean. Dean."

Closeup of Sam's closed eyes. Radio Heat of the moment Sam's eyes snap open. Sam and Elena both sit up in bed and stare around.

"Tell me that just didn't happen." Elena says.

Sam turns to her. "Oh it did."

Telling you what your heart is...

"Rise and shine, Sammy!" Dean is sitting on the other bed, tying his shoes. Sam stares at him.

The heat of the moment Showed in your eyes...

In the bathroom, Dean gargles loudly and annoying. Sam watches.

DINER
[ ☼ ]

"Hey. Tuesday. Pig in a poke." Dean says.

Elena sighs and puts her head on her right hand. "Haven't heard that before." She mumbles.

"Would you listen to me, Dean? Because I am flipping out." Sam says.

"Are you guys ready?" Doris asks.

Sam looks up at her. "He'll take the special, side of bacon, coffee, black, nothing for me, thanks." He says.

"You got it."

"Sammy, I get all tingly when you take control like that." Dean jokes.

"Quit screwing around, Dean." Sam says.

"Okay, okay, I'm listening. So, so you think that you guys are in some kind of a what again?" Dean asks.

"Time loop." Sam says.

"Except that we don't know why." Elena says. "Or why both of us are trapped in it."

"Like Groundhog Day." Dean suggests.

"Yes, exactly, like Groundhog Day." Sam says.

Dean, nodding. "Uh-huh." He says.

"So you don't believe us." Elena says.

"It's just a little crazy, I mean even for us crazy, you know, like, uh-" Dean starts.

"Dingo ate my baby crazy?" Sam finishes.

"How'd you know I was going to say that?" Dean asks.

"Because you said it before, Dean, that's my whole point." Sam says.

"Coffee, black, and some hot sauce for the-whoops! Crap." Doris drops the hot sauce. Sam catches the hot sauce and hands it back to Doris without looking. "Thanks." Doris puts down the hot sauce and leaves.

"Nice reflexes." Dean says.

"No. I knew it was going to happen." Sam says.

"Okay, look, I'm sure there's some sort of an explanation-" Dean starts.

"You're just going to have to go with me on this, Dean, you just have to, you owe me that much." Sam says.

"Calm down."

"Don't tell me to calm down. I can't calm down. I can't. Because-" Sam starts.

"Because what?"

"Because you die today, Dean." Elena says for Sam.

"I'm not gonna die. Not today." Dean says.

"Twice now I've watched you die, and I can't. I won't do it again, okay? You're just going to have to believe me. Please." Sam says.

"All right. I still think you're nuts, but okay, whatever this is, we'll figure it out." Dean says and Sam nods.
