Here is our lovely cast, at least the main characters we'll see throughout the stories. And yes this whole book is a collection of short stories.

Max - a Jack Russell terrier with developing anxiety problems who leads a group of pets in therapy sessions

Duke - a Newfoundland mix who is Max's "brother" of sorts, has a sad backstory and helps during therapy sessions

Snowball - a white rabbit who was formerly a stray but is now a pet so he goes to therapy to re-educate himself on the ways of a pet

Gidget - a Pomeranian who has a crush on her next door neighbor Max, goes to therapy so she can be close to him

Katie - a young woman who is the owner of both Max and Duke, gone for most of the day

Daisy - a Shih Tzu who joins the therapy sessions in response to her recent breakup with her terrible boyfriend

Chloe - a tabby cat who goes to therapy due to her large appetite, keep in mind she was forced to join therapy

Mel - a pug who goes to therapy because he fears squirrels will take over the world

Buddy - a dachshund who goes to therapy just so he can be with and support his friends

Norman - a young guinea pig who often gets lost and just finds his way into the therapy sessions

Sweetpea - a parakeet who isn't part of the therapy sessions but goes anyway to be with friends

Pops - an elderly basset hound who joins the therapy sessions to be close to Chloe, who doesn't return his affection

Rooster - a Welsh sheepdog who lives on the countryside and acts as Max's mentor through life

Tiberius - a red tailed hawk who joins the therapy sessions due to his depression and loneliness

Ozone - a stray Sphynx cat who only goes to therapy for the snacks and to be a menace
