I love reading the Archie Sonic comics! X3
So when I went back to reading them, I notice something. Also truth is, I haven't read the Sonic Archie comics in a long time (4 months) so yeah I'll try to remember and if I get something wrong tell me.
So in Sonic the hedgehog Archie vol 20
Dr.Robotnic gets Robotazize (I think I spelled that incorrectly) and Sonic destroys Him. Then they show us a room filled with Different versions of Robotnic ( and some actually look better than Eggman) But out of all the clones. Dr.Eggman was the one that woke up.
That would explain why Dr.Eggman acts differently from Dr.Robotnic in the games and comics.

Also did you know that Dr.Eggman's mustache is fake! WTF! 😲
