'What exam do you have tomorrow?' Abby asked.

'PHY101: Introduction to Physics. Just a bunch of stories on the history of physics and the likes...' Sam replied.

'What on earth?! Ew! I'm glad I'd done all my "History of..." courses since first year. No more'o dat for me. Thank Christ!' she exclaimed, rather enthusiastically.

'Don't worry, you'll still meet it along the way. You're just not there yet.' Sam sounded so sure of himself but she just wasn't having it. They were in the same set anyways, how would he know.

'Hell no! You just want me to suffer the way you are. God forbid it!' came her exasperated reply from the other end of the phone.

'I'm serious! Besides we're just doing "The History of Relativity", so, it's just about a bunch of old guys I have no business with and I really don't care about.' He really sounded like he definitely did not care and would have been better off not doing the course.

'Relativity? Doesn't that have to do with Einstein?' she asked, genuinely confused.

'Yeah, him and a bunch of other old people...' He was getting annoyed now. It was clear by his tone.

'You know the only one I actually liked out of all of them is Tesla. Nickolas Tesla or Nikolai Tesla...not sure about his name,' she thought to herself, wondering how she even forgot his name, if she did like him as she claimed. 'He was my favourite.'

'Tesla? Why Tesla?' came the reply from the other end.

She shrugged forgetting he couldn't see her, but then replied just as she remembered.

'His story was quite sad.' she said.

'How did I not guess you'll say that?!' she heard a facepalm from the other end. She didn't let him comment though.

'Did you know that he never married or courted? The reason was quite ridiculous actually. He was scared of hair.' she paused to let her words sink in.

'Wow! How is it possible to be scared of hair?' Sam thought aloud.

'That and he was also very underappreciated,' she smirked to herself. 'Considering the fact that he was the one who discovered electricity. Einstein however stole that idea from him. He should have argued and gotten the credit for it. He may or may not have cared about the credit for his discoveries, but he was more invested in his works than anything else.'

'But Einstein is the one that is acknowledged for discovering electricity. That's because he is already well known for something. What's more? Just add to the previous one. If the man says he did it again, then he did it again.' Sam pointed out to her.

'It still doesn't change the fact that it's unfair. Very unfair. Tesla didn't even get awarded any of the prizes for his discoveries until long after his death. I think there was even one that they gave Einstein instead of him. But they collected it back when they realised the true discoverer and awarded the dead Tesla for it.'

'What else could they have done?' it sounded as though Sam were shrugging.

'Einstein was quite mean if you ask me. Stealing another man's work and idea, and then testing it out on an elephant? Surely, that's animal cruelty!' Abby was still boiling.

'I think Tesla's nephew even sold his awards for money, later.' Abby's voice was rising now. 'Like, disrespectful, much? Now I don't quite see Einstein the same way.'

'I don't even want to see Einstein. If I see him, I'll kill him.' Sam stated.

'Um... Don't mean to rain on your parade or anything, but he's already dead. I don't think you'd get to kill him unless a necromancer decides to resurrect him or considers resurrecting all the scientists that influenced science and technology over the ages.' Abby pointed out.

'Exactly, he should be dead. So if I see him, I'll kill him. Or... I could just go back in time to kill him.' Sam said thoughtfully. 'But it could mean that I would never have been born. Because if you change something from the past, it affects something in the future.'

'Yeah, but how does Einstein affect you or relate to you?' Abby wondered, getting absolutely confused.

'Ionno. That was simply a hypothesis.' Sam defended.

'Where would you even get a Time machine?!' Abby asked running her hands through her hair. It was a habit she had gotten used to over time.

'There's been a lot of technological advancement over the years.' Sam said as though his point was glaringly obvious.

'But no one has built a Time Machine, you human being! The only technological advancements that have been made, are AI, Blockchain technology, reusable rockets. IoT, self driving cars, which is part of IoT, solar and or water powered cars...etc. That's all. Who has time to build a time machine?' Abby pointed out.

'Well, time only works on earth, so if you were not on earth you wouldn't have or need time.' Sam retorted.

'So if you go to the moon, then time wouldn't affect you?' Abby wondered aloud.

'You know time works or is measured by the setting and rising of the sun. The moon still revolves round the earth like the earth revolves round the sun. Light from the sun still shines on the earth. As well as the moon when it orbits the earth.' Sam explained.

'Oh! I see.' Abby replied. 'You know there's an island in Greek myth where the people do not age. They could live on the Island for years upon years and not die. They just continue to enjoy themselves for eternity. Someone could be born in year 200 BC and could go there and still be alive today. He wouldn't have aged since the day he got there. I think it was called the Lotus Island. The moment the people ate the Lotus fruit, they lost focus of reality and only ever thought of fun and enjoying life basically.'

'So while people are there they're temporarily immortal?' Sam asked.

'To a point yes. They will remain alive till they leave the island and then someone kills them. But other than that, they're practically immortal on that island.' Abby explained.

'Wow! That's nice.' Sam said.

'Maybe...' Abby replied, shrugging, forgetting again that he couldn't see her. 'So it seems highly impossible that that myth was true. But then again, we never know with spiritual stuff. And that means we can never find anywhere timeless on this galaxy, the milky way.'
