The next day at breakfast Dumbledore stood up. None of the Americans looked surprised. They just kept eating.

"I have two announcements today," he said, "first we will be having a ball to honour our guests from Hecate's school of magic, it will be taking place on Christmas eve like the Yule ball," Christmas Eve is in a week! "and the second is that our eighth and final American guest is joining us today, Leo Valdez."

The doors swung open and a small Latino boy with curly black hair walked in, he had oil-stained hands and a weird belt around his waist. Calypso leapt up and ran to him.

"Hey, sunshine!' He grinned at her, they kissed.

"I missed you Repair Boy," she told him, "you'd better go and get sorted." He nodded and walked up to the front of the hall. He sat on the stall for a minute or so, and then the hat yelled.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Leo grinned again and hurried to take a seat beside Calypso, who he kissed. Without introducing himself to any of us, he grabbed some food and dug in.

Percy glared at him and got up and walked to Professor Dumbledore, they had a quick, hushed discussion, causing many much muttering through the hall as the students wondered aloud what they were talking about. Percy turned back to look at us and he motioned to the other Americans to join him at the front. They all jumped up and walked to the front.

Dumbledore stood up again, "our guests have an announcement."

"Okay," Percy clapped his hands together, "raise your hand if you know anything Greek and Roman gods?"

I raised my hand and Percy nodded at me, many other hands went up through the hall, as everyone had been learning about it in Ancient Runes.

"Well ok, they exist. And sometimes they come to earth and have kids. Demigods." Percy said, "the gods have Roman and Greek forms, so they have Roman and Greek demigods. I'm a Greek son of Poseidon god of the seas." There was complete silence through the hall.

Jason broke it, "I'm a Roman son of Jupiter god of the skies."

"I'm a Greek daughter of Athena goddess of wisdom," Annabeth said.

"I'm a Roman son of Mars god of war," Frank said.

"I'm a Greek son of Hephaestus god of the forge," the new one Leo said.

"I'm a Greek daughter of Aphrodite goddess of love," Piper said.

"I'm a Roman daughter of Pluto god of the Underworld," Hazel said.

"I'm a Greek Titaness daughter of Atlas," Calypso said.

"Prove it!" Someone from the Ravenclaw table yelled.

"Okay but outside, I'd hate to break the roof," Jason said, eyeing the ceiling. They walked out of the hall. Everyone glanced at each other and then hurried to follow them out of the hall.
