~Y/N POV~

Even after just spending one night in this place, I find it a peace of mind due to the change of scenery. My dad was right, it was a good idea to go away for a few days and even Joshua and Baek were enjoying their time here also. In Joshua's words it's less depressing on this farm that happens to be owned by Ren's nephew, Hanuel. I came to find out that he is Taehyungs grandson from when we had that first life together. Instead of being a prince he found peace in farming and I don't blame him either. It's beautiful here.

This morning Hanuel asked my dad for some help with rounding the sheep with his dogs and my dad couldn't say no since my dad once grew up on farm a long time ago before he met my mother.

So because last night we didn't get a chance to wonder around and explore Haunels wife, Val, has offered to show us around the place. She's a very sweet woman, polite and quiet spoken but lovely to talk to. But there is something about her that I can't help but find......mysterious. It's just the energy about her that makes her seem, bright and the way she walks as I watch her walk along the gravel outside the front of house, it just seems like she's almost floating but clearly she's not because he feet are obviously planted on the floor.

"I'll show you where we keep the horses." Val

I only nodded but followed her close behind just to hear Joshua and Baek whispering behind me.

"She's crazy beautiful." Joshua

I heard a smack type of sound from behind and I looked over my shoulder to see Joshua now glaring at Baek, rubbing his arm.

"That hurt!! What was the need?" Joshua

Baekhyun shrugs, ignoring the question and continues to walk ahead like nothing happened.

"Okay his violence towards me is getting on my nerves." Joshua

He scowls at the back of Baekhyuns head who was following Val inside he stables that were attached to the main house.

"He's got something on his mind Josh. I'm sure he'll snap out of it and tell us soon."

I pat his shoulder and Joshua sighs heavily with a nod.

"I know but don't we all have something on our minds?" Joshua

I looked up at him just so he could stare me down with a knowing look. I know what he means by that but I've been trying my hardest to not think about any of the vampires that I should call my soulmates but even to refer to them in anyway of being my soulmates hurts and my heart clenches every time. I feel almost lost and just empty inside but I keep it together, just so I can enjoy this place.

"Yes but let's not go there okay?"

He only nods just to take my hand and give me a side hug and together we follow Val and Baek who had already disappeared inside the stables. The door was already open so we just walked in there we found Baek light stroking a horses head, his hand softly behind its' ears and down its long main. Baek had always loved horses so to see him like this calm and content instead of seemingly looking like he's about to bite someone's head off was nice to see. Val appears beside him from another room and holds out a brush towards him.

"Would you like to brush her?" Val

Baeks eyes lit up and he eagerly nods to take the brush from her and begin to gently brush the horses hair, smiling ear to ear in delight.

"So Val, how long have you and Hanuel been together?" Joshua

He simply asks out of curiosity just to take a seat on a little bench that was just across from Baek with the horse.

"Oh, well We've been together officially over seventy years now but we've known each other all our lives. His mother's family owned this place so it runs in the family on his mothers side and I use to come here a lot growing us since our mothers were best friends." Val

That sounds so sweet.

"Then your love just blossomed from there huh?" Joshua

Val shyly nods, tucking stands of her red hair behind her ear to glance down at her feet.

"Yes, it did and we've been very happy ever since and made a life for ourselves." Val

"At least you're lucky unlike the rest of us to have love like that." Joshua

Baekhyun scoffs but continues to brush the horses hair and I sadly look down to my own feet. I sighed sadly because I know I am on of the unlucky ones here to be in love with seven people that treat me so badly and yet my very soul craves everything about them which is why it hurts so much.

"When love is worth fighting for, it always works out in the end. You just have to fight whatever problem there is and you'll get through it." Val

I looked up from my feet just to look at Val who happened to be staring right back at me with a kind smile on her face, showing her little dimples.

"It's easier to say then done."

She nods at me and steps closer, just to lay her hand gently on my shoulder.

"Yes, but trust me I know everything will work out in the end. I know it will." Val

"How? How could you possibly know?" Baekhyun

His voice came out harsher than he probably meant it but however Val just calmly turns around to look at Baek next to the horse.

"Because I have seen the future. It may look messy now but it will work out in the end....."

She looks me up and down, making me suddenly self conscious and taking a step back from her in attempts to get away from her gaze.

"Yes, it will all work out the princes just need another push that they will get very soon." Val

She speaks softly but her eyes lingering around a certain part of my body and I zip up my hoodie to cover myself from her gaze.

"I'm sorry Y/n." Val

She chuckles to finally look away from me.

"How can you know the future? No one can do that." Joshua

"Oh but I can you see I am a witch." Val

She proudly points to herself with a beaming smile on her face and Joshua gasps in surprise.

"A witch? I didn't think that they existed?"

Val's smile fades into a frown but somewhat seems more like an annoyed look if you ask me.

"That's because we are almost extinct. There's only few of us left since witches are always being accused of practising dark magic but not all of us are like that. Not me or my family." Val

"So what, are you some sort of white witch then?" Joshua

He laughs but stops when Val quickly nods with her smile coming back again.

"Yes that's what I am. A white witch, none of that dark stuff that just leads to unwanted trouble." Val

Wow I didn't think witches existed but now there is one standing in front of me.

"Then how are you still so young looking? You don't suck Haneuls blood do you?" Joshua

Val lets out a hearty laugh clutching her belly and throwing her head back.

"Oh no I don't do that but that could work but no I don't. There are other ways, a potion I make for myself and drink once every two weeks. It's very simple to make actually but it keeps me from aging and I can live with my husband. I couldn't bare to think what he would be like if I were to die." Val

Again she becomes saddened by her own words to look down again to the concrete flooring.

"But enough with all this I actually have to show you the back field that we use for other purposes. It's not for farming but more for training for when they come and they should be here very soon actually." Val

"Huh? Training for what?"

Joshua suddenly jumps up and stretches his arms above his head and bends side to side.

"More like so who? That's what I want to know." Joshua

Val giggles and walks away back to the door of the stables and turns slightly to look at us over her shoulder.

"The dark knights of course." Val
