Lyla's P.O.V.

I heard the elevator door ding which indicated that someone was here.

They're early today.

I slowly stood up and waited for my bosses to appear so I could greet them. But to my surprise, an unfamiliar face popped into view.

"Excuse me? You can't go in there without permission." I immediately warned once I saw him heading towards Sir Tharion's and Sir Draco's office without sparing me a single glance.

He stopped in his tracks and slowly looked back at me, as if he just now noticed me standing here. Then an unsettling smirk stretched across one side of his face and he slowly approached me.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" He whistled lowly once he stopped in front my desk.

I unintentionally took a step back which only made the creepy dude smirk even more.

I think I just got myself in deep trouble...

"What's your name darling?" The creepy dude asked, plopping his ass on my desk and taking some papers in his hands.

"Put those down please." I quickly said when he started to shuffle through the papers.

He didn't listen and continued to look at the papers, but when I tried to grab them from him, he moved his hand away and gave me a hard look. A shiver immediately ran down my back.

This guy's dangerous.

And while I thought of ways to get him to leave or at least hold him off while my bosses arrived, I didn't notice him moving.

"I asked you a question darling." He said lowly, tapping me under my chin, which brought my attention back to him.

His face was inches away from mine which made me silently gasp and immediately pull away. He looked at me expectantly, but I kept my mouth shut. Not because I wanted to, but because I couldn't get it to move.

Is this how I die?

"I really hate repeating myself dar-"

"What the fuck are you doing here?" A familiar voice growled out which made me let out a sigh of relief.

A pissed off looking Sir Draco came into view and Sir Tharion was right behind me. A slightly less intense expression on his face, but you could still feel the tension around him.

"Way to ruin my fun." The creepy dude tusked and got off of my desk.

My bosses stopped in front of him and Sir Draco quickly looked me up and down.

"G-good morning Sirs." I blurted out without thinking.

Way to go Lyla...

"Oh so they get a greeting, but I don't?" The creepy guy said playfully, but I don't think he's feeling playful right now.

I just glanced at him for a second, then moved my eyes back to my bosses.

"He didn't do anything right?" Sir Draco asked and I quickly shook my head.

I tried to respond but I couldn't find my voice because the creepy guy kept staring at me like I was food or something.

"Good." Sir Tharion said and before I could even blink, his arm was wrapped around the creepy guy's neck and he was bent in half. "Let's go." He added and pulled the growling creep into his office.

"Hey! This is no way to treat your older brother." The creepy guy said while struggling, making my jaw drop.

Brother?!

Sir Draco sighed in exhaustion and followed the two into his office. And once the door closed, my legs gave out and I crashed onto my chair.

What the fuck just happened?

...

*a few days later*

I was down in the cafeteria, grabbing some coffee, when I felt something unsettling move behind me. And like the idiot I am, I decided to turn around and look. Stupid. I know.

"Boo."

I gasp left my mouth and I almost dropped my coffee.

"Damn. That was a boring reaction. Do you not know how to scream?" The creepy guy, or the bosses' oldest brother Blaze, said with a tusk.

I just looked at him for a few seconds and then turned around and headed towards the elevators. When he left the other day, Sir Draco said to just ignore him if he showed up again. Which I definitely intended on doing.

I walked into the elevator and he followed right in.

Now, you'd think that, in this kind of situation, you'd immediately leave the elevator because a potentially dangerous person is in it. Right?

Wrong. My stupid ass stayed in because I was distracted with my phone, and only when the elevator door closed did I realize what I had done.

Shit.

As if on cue, I was pushed back and pressed into the mirrored wall behind me. He placed his hands on either side of my head and leaned in.

"No one gets to ignore me without facing any consequence darling." He said lowly, making me slightly tremble.

I took in a quiet breath and slowly looked up. He had a slight glare in his eyes and there weren't any types of smirks on his face.

"Wh-what do you w-want from me?" I mumbled out, barely understanding my own words.

"Look who finally decided to acknowledge me." Blaze said sarcastically, not a hint of amusement on his face.

I'm done for now.

But the elevator suddenly dinged and the door opened. We continued to look at each other for a few seconds and without thinking, I ducked down and dipped out of the elevator as fast as I could.

I was out, maybe three steps, before I felt his fingers wrap around my neck forcibly. I hissed in pain and tried to pull away, but his grip was too strong.

He moved in front of me, now holding me by the throat, as I continued to struggle, but the look on his face made me slowly give up and I was reduced to a shivering mess again. He looked terrifying. Like a psycho.

Did it really bother him that much that I ignored him?

Tears slowly started to gather in my eyes and I was on the verge of bursting.

"Let her go." A familiar voice threatened behind me.

The bastard in front of me looked ahead for a few seconds and finally let go. My knees wobbled and I crashed down on the floor, silent sea of tears falling down my cheeks.

"Leave this instant if you value your own life." Sir Draco ordered lowly, but Blaze, of course, didn't budge.

Instead, he crouched down and grabbed my chin.

"Now that's a pretty face you got there." He observed with a way too calm look on his face, making my lower lip tremble even more.

But then he just let go, stood up and left. And the whimpers I've unintentionally been keeping in, came out.

Fucking psycho.

Sir Tharion helped me up and even though I assured both of them multiple times that I was alright, they sent me home anyways.
Sir Draco made sure I was safely in the taxi before the it drove off.

And once I was inside my apartment, Katherine and her books greeted me in the living room.

"Oh hey. Why are you back so soon?" Kate asked in confusion.

"No idea." I mumbled absentmindedly, dragging my feet towards my bed.

"You okay? You look a bit pale." She said worriedly.

"I guess." I mumbled with tiredness in my voice, dropped myself onto my bed without even changing my clothes and passed out in seconds.

...

*six months later*

"That's the last one." Kate said as I placed the box in my room.

"Thank fuck!" I groaned out and threw myself on my new bed.

In our new apartment.

Kate and I looked at each other and grinned. Then Kate threw herself on top of me and we both started to squeal in excitement.

"We're finally out of that shoe box for good!" I exclaimed with a groan.

"Tell me about it!" She chimed in, but soon went quiet.

"What's wrong?" I immediately asked and pulled her to sit up with me.

"It's nothing Ly. Sorry for ruining the mood." She mumbled out and tried to get up, but I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her back on the bed.

"Kate." I said with a pointed look.

She looked at me for a few seconds and when I didn't back down, she let out a long sigh and laid her head on my shoulder.

"I got reminded of half a year ago, so I'm finding it a little hard to believe that we managed to achieve this much in such a short period of time." She mumbled out while playing with my fingers.

I sighed and pulled her in a hug.

"Plus I wish I could've helped you more financially, but God forbid people find a decent job without a degree." She added sarcastically.

"Nonsense. You just started college. I'm not about to let you struggle over something I can easily take care of. It's why I got my job in the first place." I interjected sternly.

"The same job you're resigning from tomorrow?" She teased, making me glare at her.

"I told you I had it covered already. I sent my resume to a few good companies and most of them were more than happy to give me an interview. So after tomorrow, I'm going to go to those interviews and see from there." I explained and dragged my butt to the edge of my bed so I could get up.

"You won't regret it right?" She asked slowly.

I stayed quiet for a moment, thinking over the past six months.

"No." I answered firmly and walked out of my room.

Even hell sounds like a paradise after what I went through because of that psycho.

...

*the next morning*

I placed the resignation letter on my desk with a heavy sigh.

This is it...

I slowly turned around and walked back towards the elevator.

It would've been nice if I could've talked with Sir Tharion and Sir Draco over this, but their maniac of a brother has been stuck to them like glue whenever I was around them. I'd never be able to get rid of him if he found out I was leaving for good.

I don't know what his problem was. Actually, scratch that. I did know. The bastard had a few loose screws and found it entertaining to make people weaker than him suffer. And by people, I mean me.

Working here for the past six months felt like a walking and living nightmare. Every single chance he got, he used it to torment me like there's no tomorrow.

Got a cup of coffee? Five seconds later, that same scorching hot coffee was all over my blouse because it looked too plain and needed some color in it.

Out on the rooftop for some fresh air? Ten seconds later I was being pushed over the railing by my throat because the psycho relished in my petrified face.

And don't even get me started on the amount of times he managed to corner me in the women's bathroom just to threaten me because I ignored him.

Luckily, I used my head on time and started going to the bathrooms on lower floors not even a week after I, unfortunately, met this jackass because with the amount of crazy he had, you could never be too safe.

And that got proven right when all his threats got interrupted by someone coming into the bathroom. God knows how far he would've gone if I continued to use the bathroom on my floor.

The floor where only me and my two bosses worked on.

Yeah no. I wasn't taking any chances with that.

And I couldn't tell anything to Sir Tharion and Sir Draco because, before anything, Blaze was their brother and I doubt they'd believe a mere employee over their own flesh and blood. I know I wouldn't.

So I kept my mouth shut because I couldn't take that risk when neither me nor Kate were financially stable enough for me to quit my job out of nowhere.

At least it's finally all over now.

I took a right turn and entered the street my apartment was in. Then I started typing a massage to Kate, asking her what she'd like for lunch.

"Found you." An eerily familiar voice said behind me.

I froze in place.

Shit.

But before I could even begin to think about running away, I felt something cover my whole face and a few seconds later, all I saw was black.

...

I groaned out in pain and slowly opened my eyes which felt like they had bolders on top of them.

"The sleeping beauty's finally awake."

I whipped my head in the direction of the familiar voice and my body instantly started to tremble.

No, no, no, no, no!

It took every ounce of strength I had left in me to get up on my feet and try to distance myself from the complete nutcase in front of me.

Then I noticed our surroundings.

"Holy shit." I whispered in disbelief.

Where the fuck did this lunatic bring me?!

We were standing in the middle of a fucking meadow which was surrounded by tall trees, sky as dark as the soul of the madman in front of me.

"Don't go and get distracted darling. I need you to be fully focused on me." My kidnapper said, making me glare back at him.

"Where are we?!" I demanded angrily, trying to hide the terror which was currently running through my body.

He's going to kill me.

"Why, on top of my home." He said with a grin.

Yup. I'm definitely dying tonight.

And since it's confirmed that this would be my last day on Earth, I decided to at least go off on this psychopath and relieve my heart of all the things I wish I could've said to him but was too afraid to.

Except, I couldn't see him anymore. It's like he completely merged with the darkness around us. It also didn't help that tonight was a new moon, so I couldn't even rely on moonlight.

Though it didn't take long for that to change because I was suddenly surrounded by flames.

Hold on-

"OH MY FUCKING GOD! I'M ON FUCKING FIRE! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" I yelled so loudly my own ears started to hurt.

I immediately started to hit myself all over, trying to extinguish the fire in any way I could.

"Get the fuck off you stupid shitty bonfire!" I whisper-yelled as I ran and rolled all over the place.

Then it dawned on me.

Why don't I feel anything?

I stopped moving and looked down at my inflamed body. A few seconds of silence and zero movement on my side, and I officially confirmed that I, in fact, felt nothing.

Is this a dream? Am I actually dreaming?

I looked up from my burning body and pitch black darkness was staring back at me with two golden eyes.

"Yup. I'm definitely dreaming." I mumbled out before collapsing almost instantly.

...

Hi guys! \(^▽^)/

Look who's baaack! And not with empty hands!

Did you miss me? Because I sure as hell missed y'all!

It feels really nostalgic coming back here with new chapy/s. Not gonna lie, I'm on the verge of crying lol

How is everyone doing? I hope y'all had a blast this year

But holy shit you guys! Theirs hit 1 MILLION VIEWS!!! I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am to all of you! Y'all are seriously amazing! (ಥ⌣ಥ)

When I first noticed "Theirs" was close to 1M views I immediately stated preparing this little surprise for you guys as a thank you for all your support. I'm glad I managed to finish it right on time ♡✧( ु•⌄• )

A lot of you guys wanted a book for Lyla and Blaze, but I never really thought of writing a whole book for them before

I think it'd be really difficult for me to write it now since I don't have a solid plot for their story

In other words, I'd have no idea what to write lol

So I thought, why not write one or two bonus chapters about their beginning. But like a summarized version, you know?

So here we are! I had fun writing this, especially since, much like you guys, I wasn't used to this side of Blaze

I'm not used to writing about really bad characters like this in general, so this was a fun new experience

I also thought that this would end up being one chapter only but that clearly didn't happen lol

I hope you liked it as much as I liked writing it and I'll see you in the next bonus chapy! Bye bye~
