Kuroko's P.O.V

Kaiga-kun was placed in an ambulance as Miokia-sama sat with him inside. Kyumre-sama let us ride with him and he looks really worried. I kept my emotionless face on, but deep inside I am sickly worried of Kaiga-kun.

I know this all sound dramatic, but it is true. Kaiga-kun was the other person other than Shigehiro-kun and Mikka-san who get me into Basketball so I owe him a lot. Kaiga-kun is my friend and knowing that he might be in trouble just makes me sick.

Kaiga-kun is very reckless as ever, making everyone surrounding him worry.  I look over to Mikka-san and saw she has the most worried expression among the Generation of Miracles.

She always scold Kaiga-kun, but the doesn't change the fact that he is her best friend. I've seen how close they are and knowing he's suffering, makes her extremely upset.

"Mikka-san," I called and she looked over to me, "It's alright. Kaiga-kun's a tough person."

She smiled and nodded as Momoi-chan clutched her hand, reassuringly. I kept quiet as I remembered a conversation we had years ago with Taiki-kun.

"Hey, Taiki, Tetsu-kun. What do you think suit me best? Reckless or just...you know, more level-minded?" A ten-year-old Kaiga asked, grinning at me and Taiki-kun. We were in their private gymnasium, playing basketball and at that time, we decided to take a break while Shigehiro-kun is still on his way.

"Huh? Maybe you'll be better off as a level-minded person, cos'. You always got into trouble whenever you become reckless," Taiki-kun bluntly said, raising an eyebrow.

"Really? How about you, Tetsu-kun?" He asked as I flinched.

"Huh? Y-You ask me?"  That time, I wasn't very good at observing nor making conclusion yet so his question is very hard for me to answer. Though, he was confident at anything making me get some from him.

"I think being reckless suits you well," I said making Kaiga-kun grin and Taiki-kun narrow his eyes at me.

"Why do you think so? Kaiga might get into a lot of trouble if he kept that on," he said as I smiled slightly.

"Well, being very careful doesn't really suit Kaiga-kun's nature, Taiki-kun. Kaiga-kun is much more wild and free. And being level-minded is just not right for him," I said as Taiki-kun hummed, getting my point as he twirl a basketball on his fingers.

"Well, yes. You're right. It would be weird if I hear Kaiga saying things like, 'be careful,' or 'hold up, think before you act,' that would mean the end of the world for me," Taiki-kun aid as Kaiga-kun stood up.

"Yosh! But, I promise. I won't get into much trouble."

But what happened right now, Kaiga-kun? You've caused worries and trouble already. Are you a traveling storm of emotions and mischief?

"We're here!" Aomine-kun exclaimed as he push open the door, running out with the all of us, following. We saw Kaiga-kun being placed in a stretcher as Miokia-sama ran beside him with Kyumre-sama. We ran with them as I noticed Kaiga-kun's breathing is heavy and unstable.

Kaiga was placed in a room and the doctor came to check him out as we waited near the door. After few minutes, the doctor, who happens to be Midorima-kun's father, decided to inform us about Kaiga-kun's well-being.

"Miokia-sama, Kyumre-sama. Your son's temperature is 43°C. It's very high for a human being. I was surprise that he can still handle that temperature," he said and placed the stethoscope on his shoulders, "Did he exhaust his body again?"

"Yea, in fact he did," Mikka-san said as the Midorima-san nodded, knowingly.

"Well, I'm afraid that Kaiga-sama will be in a comma once again, but the main concern for now is his temperature. It could cause something more severe if it wasn't cure," he said as Mikka-san and I locked eyes.

"Doc? What is that something that is more severe?" Kise asked as the doctor's face became grim.

"Something like Death, I assume. He strained his body too much and his life is in danger," he said as he nodded to the nurses and they treated Kaiga-kun, "But please, as a loyal doctor and family friend of the Kudos, I will take care of lil' old Kaiga-sama. Troublesome, isn't he?"

"Dad, is a 43°-fever even possible to treat, nanodayo?" Midoma-kun asked and his father sighed.

"Yes, it is possible, but it is takes time, Shintaro. Kaiga-sama never had a fever after using so much energy, so this is quite new," Midorima-san said as Miokia-sama slapped Kaiga's sleeping figure, making our eyes wide.

'Truly a monster.'

"What an idiotic son of mine!" She said as she broke down, kneeling beside Kaiga-kun's bed.

"Miokia..." Kyumre-sama kneeled beside her as he put his had on her shoulder.

"Miokia-sama, please don't cry. Kaiga-kun doesn't like crying," I said as Akashi-kun put a hand on my shoulder. I looked at him and he shook his head.

"Let us leave them alone, for now," he said as it took me a few moments to nod before we left the hospital, though Midorima-kun stayed behind with Mikka-san.

We were back in Teiko's gym and Aomine-kun punched the wall.

"That bastard! How dare he leave me way behind?! Damn it!" Aomine-kun screamed as he banged his head against the wall.

"Dai-cha, stop! You'll hurt yourself!" Momoi-chan asked as Aomine-kun looked back a her. She gasped seeing blood tricking down his forehead, "Dai-chan! You idiot!"

"Aominecchi, you'll get brain damage!" Kise-kun said as Momoi-chan aids Aomine-kun.

"His brain is already damaged," Murasakibara-kun asked, munching his chips.

"Aomine-kun, please calm down. I am sure Kaiga-kun didn't mean it," I said politely, making him slightly jump.

"Tetsu, Kaiga lied to us about using his strength from the start! And now! That bastard would suddenly reveal that his way better than any of us?! Damn shit! He even acting like we had no chance of winning against the fucklord called the Goddamn Princes!" This time, Akashi-kun nor any of us didn't prevented him from cussing.

"I understand what you are implying, but please, Aomine-kun...Kaiga-kun is in trouble right now and he needed our support for him to recover," I said and he clicked his tongue. I know he still cares about Kaiga-kun.

"Dai-chan, Tetsu-kun's right. Kaigan needs us," Momoi-chan said as Aomine-kun clicked his tongue and walked out the gym.

"Aomine-kun--"

"Leave him alone, Tetsuya," I heard Akashi-kun said as I turned to him. He stood up and I noticed his other eye flickered gold, "Everyone, dismissed."

All of us, halfheartedly nodded and went out. I didn't saw Akashi-kun leave the gym so I concluded that he was left in there.

'Kaiga-kun, please be alright."
