Rania tried to scramble off the bed when he caught her legs and she started wriggling to escape him.

' stop! Escaping from me, isn't this what you want?'. He said.

He had lost it, all the reasoning had left his brains.

And, now slowly he leaned and she kept hitting him on his chest, he took her arms and secured it with one hand over her head.

She wailed, pleaded , tears flowing like a river but to no avail.

As, he tried to do anything further, he stopped when she said while he was kissing her neck ' today, I was going to confess that I liked you and didn't want to go anywhere but stay here with you'.

He stiffened and looked at her face, reality settling in and he whispered her name and then he let go.

She stood up shakily now her tears dry ,knowing tonight changed everything and she could go never stay with him.

Being away from him was the only thing that mattered now. It went back to the first time they had met ,the hatred reeked from him like poison which had destroyed the sweet moments of togetherness in matter of seconds.

She plopped down near the bed ,again her eyes filling up with tears when she saw the marks on her hand and felt her swollen lips.

She cried for herself, how unlucky she was, the day she decided to be together, he did something she couldn't forgive him for.

Sean sat on the bed, running his hands in his hair , what had he done? Trying to force himself on his wife? Why? He called himself the epitome of patience, what happened now? The time when he wanted it the most, he failed.

He knew he couldn't stay in the same room as her, he wasn't worth it. She needed space.

He went out and slowly creeped into the guest bedroom and shut the door.

He wanted to shout ,do something but now when he was the culprit he didn't know what to do?.

The next morning came and Sean being awake all night went back to his room to avoid suspicion.

He entered the room and saw her on the floor and he went ahead to pick her up, he stopped himself he had lost the right.

He kept looking at her face, memorising her features, taking in her breathing form and when he looked at her hands in which his ugliness had settled in the form of marks he looked away.

He didn't deserve her.

Rania stirred awake her body stiff from sleeping on the floor, she stretched a little ,when the events of last night flooded back to her when she saw him on the bed.

She went to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror, the image of brokeness seemed to be her face.

She came out a little later and she stood near the mirror her hair wet, and as he got up from the bed, she stiffened but he was going to the bathroom. As, the door clicked shut she let out a breath of relief.

She took her sweater to cover her hands and went down.

Everyone joined at the table a little while later when it was announced by Rania's mom that she would be leaving the day after tomorrow. Adrian's face sulked.

' mom please stay a little while longer ' Rania insisted.

' it's not possible dear, i already took an extension from work, and Ria has college' she said.

As, everyone dispered going about their work.

Rania went to her mother's room and she couldn't hold herself back and cried in her arms like a baby.

' Has he ever done this before?, you know ' she began.

'No never, it was the first time I can't stay with him , I'm scared of him.' she said.

She let her cry and gave her numbers and addresses of her friends in London ,where she could go and stay as long as she wanted.

She murmured thank you and got a hug from her.

Two days passed in a whiff and everyone started to leave for the airport to drop Rania's parents and her sister.

As, Rania was coming down she saw Adrian holding Ria's hand and she in an instant kissed him on his cheeks. She secretly wished them happiness.

Sean and Rania sat in the car reluctantly. Her mother noticing their every move.

She knew.

As they left the airport after dropping them. Sean sat in the car waiting but Rania sat in her father's car and left.

He clenched his teeth and started his engine.

The day passed by and again they were in the room together.

Although, now it seemed like a place of tension.

He tried talking to her many times but to no avail.

It seemed like she was so far away from him and he would never be able to reach her.
