In that moment the past caught of with her wrapping her in its trance, all the pain , heartbreak made its way back to her.

She was speechless.

She jolted back to her senses.

' hi' she muttered.

He bent down and kissed her slightly on her cheeks. She stiffened.

' well it was nice to meet you again, see you'. He said. And left.

She shook herself mentally and looked up at him. Sean.

He didn't ask her anything.

They ate their dinner quietly and went upstairs. He walked off to his room without sparing a glance.

It broke her heart a little ,after all that attention she couldn't bear his ignorance.

But, first she had to something.

She went inside her room and waited for  20 minutes before leaving hers.

Today she would see the end of this mess which was caused a long time ago.

She went downstairs in the lounge where he had whispered in her ears to be while pretending to kiss her.

He came after 5 minutes and smirked at her.

' well how are you?' in his chilling voice Varun quipped.

' I have not come here to exchange pleasantries with you, whatever is that you want to talk, just be done with it'. She said furiously.

' I wanted to see how you were? you look different ,you are with someone here that puzzled me' he said.

' which part of that puzzled you?'.

' you know which one'.

' Typical how about you remember the past a little and learn ,I have nothing to say to you'. She said while getting ready to go.

' I regret it all the time Ri , leaving you'. He grimaced.

' stop! How dare you stand in front of me and say this after 3 years , you weren't man enough then and you are still the same, all you have is regret, what good is it going to do?'.

' what could I do , I got the contract on our engagement day , it had been my dream since childhood, I had no other option'.

' other than begging me to tell everyone that I was not ready to get engaged to you putting the blame on me , while I broke our relationship ,you went away happy and left me behind to cleanup your mess '.

He was about to say something when she stopped him.

' you know it wasn't much of a relationship , we were friends before we decided to take it ahead ,you could have just said that you didn't think me as more than a friend, but you're flair for dramatics got the better of you and you pinned the blame on me that I wasn't ready because of my issues with my father you used him against me knowing how I felt all these years? How could you?'.

' and then you knew I would break the engagement the moment you decided that everyone should know about what we talked in private, how could you? If you just came to me and said you wanted to go to London because you got your music contract, I would be the one to step ahead and send you to fulfill your dreams , you forgot that I was your friend all you thought was about your image '. She said letting out her pent up frustrations.

' it wasn't like that, I liked you but one side was my dreams the other side you, my parents have respect in the community if I left they would be embarrassed , that's why I did it and I regret it, I should have trusted you more '. He said.

' your family had respect in the community and what about mine? You are disgusting Varun, I'm happy I left you , you are the most insolent, unfeeling opportunist I have ever met ' she said while turning to leave.

' please , listen I'm sorry I did this , but I really did like you a lot ' he said.

She turned towards him ' how does it matter now, you did what you had to do, leave me alone I don't think about it anymore'.

' why because you think about him all the time now, the man you have come with ?'.

' my life is not your concern anymore, bye! Have a good life ahead'.

He suddenly hugged her and she was taken aback.

' what are you doing leave me?'.

As, she turned she saw him Sean looking at them, he slowly turned towards the lift , Rania ran after him.

But the lift already ascended to the floors above. She waited while it came back.

After few seconds it came back , she went inside and pressed her floor button, all this while bad thoughts invading her mind, all she wanted that he didn't think bad about her.

She went up to her room and slowly opened the connecting door.

He was standing near the window with a glass in his hand.

' listen I can explain' she began.

He turned and threw the glass on the wall behind her the pieces shattering on the floor.

She flinched he stalked towards her , he was sober , she stood her ground, they were standing close to one another.

He looked in her eyes, and said' don't explain yourself to me ever , I don't care what happened in your past, all I care that you are here with me and not with that b*****d '.

He turned away from her and was walking towards the bed.

When he felt her arms around him , she gripped him tightly ,her tears staining his shirt, she was hugging him from the back.

Rania didn't care about anything in that moment, he had said those words and she knew that she needed his touch, his presence , she had to make him realize her feelings and she didn't know what else to do.

They stood like that , he tried to loosen her grip but she tightened it more, her tears now dry.

He slowly turned towards her and she looked at him directly in his eyes.

She hugged him again, not because he forced her , she wanted too. He hugged her back.

They didn't say anything as they slept in each other arms the whole night.

It was understanding and trust that made people do things they couldn't imagine themselves doing.

That was the magic of love.
