We landed on the other side of the portal into the hell dimension itself, the nether. I never liked this place whatsoever. Sure there were some good things about it like potion materials and nether rack I guess. But all those things could be replaced heck Ariana could just make them appear if she wanted them to so this place seemed to serve no purpose apart from hosting the hellish beings themselves, shadow Knights or the Knights of shadows if that's what you prefer. I don't get this dimension at all it serves no purpose apart from being one's worst nightmare and a place where if your not careful you die! I wanted to get out of this place as soon as I got in but Jack and I had a mission to do, rescue Angie. Also if you didn't know shadow Knights are power hungry freaks so my friend Angie a very experienced witchcraft user is a perfect target. All the more reason to hate shadow Knights. Yeah if you hadn't noticed I don't like shadow Knights very much because of a reason that I will not speak of, ever. Ugh, focus Lizzie you need to worry about the task at hand, saving Angie. "Well, I think we should head over there as a, there seems to be a trail leading that way and b, there is a fortress over there.", said Jack. "Ok then, come on. We don't have all day, we know what they'll do to her if we don't hurry!", I exclaimed rushing toward the fortress.

Once arriving at the fortress we got a more detailed look at it. It was basically a demonic castle bust out of nether brick, which is only available in the nether unless you know someone with ancient magics who can make some pop up anywhere. Apparently some shadow Knights who were stationed to guard the fortress spotted us and charged. I pulled out rainbow light and electrocuted them with it. Also if you didn't know rainbow light can summon lighting when absolutely needed or whenever, but I just use it for battling monsters not people who I spar against. Anyways after being electrocuted they passed out from the shock going through their bodies we rushed through the fortress fighting our way to where Angie was being held. In the room next to hers we saw a white haired shadow knight and a brown haired one prepare an altar, most likely for her which worried me. Well get her out don't worry I told myself trying to look on the bright side.

We looked into her room where she was being held and guess who was guarding her cell? You guessing it, the shadow lord himself. We saw her and she must have saw us because she perked up in her cell. We gave her a look that said were her to save you and she looked relieved. I quietly entered the room and stealthily made my way to her cell and opened it. The door opened with a creak and the shadow lord turned and saw us. Great just great! Angie and I rushed out of the room and Jack followed sprinting toward the portal.

It would have been fine except the shadow lord must have the ability to command his shadow Knights to do his evil bidding because soon almost every shadow knight was after us. We fought our way back to the bridge to the portal. Swords were swung, shadow Knights blown back and electrocuted, potions thrown at them making them slow down and it seemed like we had a chance of making it back.

We had made it to the middle of the bridge when he stepped into the fight. The shadow lord himself was going to fight us. We all knew then and there that one of us would have to stay and fight while the other two go. "Jack, take Angie I'll hold them off.", I exclaimed not sure of myself. "No! The Vale needs you, I'll stay!", replied Jack. "Uhh guys if you hadn't noticed he's gaining on us!", said Angie bringing us back to reality. "Yeah that's why you two need to go now!", said Jack and he threw down a shield potion Angie had given him a while back for his sixteenth birthday. A translucent green barrier formed between us as he shouted, "Go!"

Despite the fact that I could have refused to go and just stay until he came and we could have fought the shadow lord together I took his word and ran for it with Angie. Some of the shadow Knights had started breaking the portal so it was only a matter of moments before we'd be trapped. I guess Jack lost his confidence and as soon as the barrier fell he ran as fast as he could toward the portal. Angie had made it through and the portals stucture was breaking Jack soon came but the portal was breaking. Jack looked at me as if saying farewell and pushed me through just before the portal broke trapping him one the other side.

Once through I looked around. The only one who besides me had made it through was Angie. I felt like crying. "Lizzie! I'm so sorry!", she said. I looked back at the portal, the frame was busted and the purple barrier was gone.
