Now that we've recapped everything before this point I might as well let you know that things didn't get easier from this point on, they only got harder. So that goes to show that life isn't always fair but we just have to carry on.

I waved goodbye to my friends Violet, Ana, Ari, Nico, Jessie, and Alice as they set off. The Vale was asked to send some guards in training to the village of Bright Port to discuss a meeting as they wanted the guards in training to learn how a guard meeting was held. Ariana and I would've gone except the head guard wanted us to stay behind as a lot of The Vale's protection was leaving, also Jack was needed to stay behind as well he went to the one with me and Ariana, but still hadn't been sworn in yet as he said he'd still need at least one more year to train. Violet also went because they wanted a scholar to take note of the meeting to record the events. That left me, Ariana, Jack, and Angie in the village. Without our friends around the village seemed, quiet... I didn't like it. Now normally quiet would have been fine but since so many guards in training weren't here the quiet seemed unnatural. Like something was waiting to come in. Ariana and I split up patrol for the day, she'd get left and I'd get right. Jack went along with me on my patrol and Angie sat under the tree in the town plaza where... Well you know the "jury of nine" incident happened as we've been calling ever since.

A few hours of patrolling went by and everything seemed okay for the most part. The nether portal outside town was making weird noises and the feeling of something watched us grew. Something was not right. Something bad was going to happen. I could just feel it in my gut that something bad was going to happen. We then met up with Ariana again and concluded that it was just a magical disturbance in the forest that often happened and shrugged it off. It was one of the worst mistakes we'd ever make.

While inside cooling off we heard loud noises coming from outside and went out to see what it was. When we got outside we discovered the village was under attack! "Lizzie! Ariana! Jack! Thank Irene you're here!", shouted Lord Lauren. "Lady Lauren, what's going on!", asked Jack. "Shadow Knights! They've come out of their wretched Dimesion and attacking The Vale, you have to stop them!", exclaimed Lord Lauren, "I'm going to go get the villagers to safety!", and she rushed off looking for any nearby villagers and warning them. "Well we shouldn't just stand here we have to stop them!", I shouted. "Ya didn't have to say that twice.", replied Ariana and we charged the shadow Knights. I transformed into my jury of nine self and summoned Rainbow Lights and attacked. Shadow Knights fell unconscious and dead with each swing of our swords. Ariana, Jack, and I fought back to back set on keeping The Vale safe.

In the midst of all the fighting we heard a bloodcurdling scream. We recognized the voice, Angie. We looked toward the nether portal and saw two shadow Knights shove her through. Anger rushed through me. No one and not no one takes my friends, any of them, ever, "We have to save her!", I shouted still fighting the shadow Knights. "I'm coming with you!", exclaimed Jack. "No the village needs you!", I replied. "She's my friend too and I'm coming weather you like it or not!", said Jack determined. "Don't stand there! Go! I'll hold them off. So rescue her.", exclaimed Ariana as she let out a gust of ancient magics freezing the shadow Knights in there places. "Go I can't hold this for long!", exclaimed Ariana as Jack and I bounded our way through the shadow Knights and rushed into the portal.
