To begin with I didn't grow up or live in Phoniex Drop like some think, definitely NOT O'Khasis, not Scaleswind, not Bright Port, not Nahakara, or even Meteli! I am from a village hidden in the deep forest of Ru'an. Hyria found the ancestor of our Lord wandering though the forest looking for safety from O'Khasis and took pity on him and told him of a secret clearing to build a village. The village is called The Vale as it is hidden in the Vale. Anyways more and more people found it and it has become a place of refuge if you are lucky. Some who are looking for the village end up in anyplace but this, but everyone in the village knows the way around the entire forest so if we are called anywhere we can get there quickly. So how did I end up here? Um I was born here DUH! Well my dad was a guard for hire and found his way here where he met my mom an experienced magic user and well you know he fell in love with her and became a guard for the village. When I was born surprisingly I had no magics and I wasn't that strong or tough so I was a complete mystery. So lets start here when I was about nine years old when my adventure really began.

I woke up today with excitement as my friend Ariana was coming back from a trip with her parents. Ariana has ancient magics that are very powerful so her parents took her on a trip to Scaleswind so she could learn more about her power. In a way she was almost as powerful as one of the divine warriors. So I ran to the kitchen and saw my mom eating her breakfast and decided to join her before I headed out to see Ariana and the rest of my friends. "You're up bright and early today sweetie.", said my mom cheerily. "Mom Ariana's coming back today and I'm so excited to see her!", I exclaimed. "I know, as well as the whole village.", replied mom. I sat down and ate my breakfast of eggs and bread and drank some milk before heading out.

Once I had headed out I raced around the village looking to see where Ariana was. I raced past our small library and the farms. I ran into my friends Jack, Jessie, Violet, Angie, Ana, Alice, Nico, and Ari while looking and they decided to join in. We all realized that Ariana and her family weren't supposed to come back until after lunch we decided to do something else until then namely train with one of the guards. We all wanted to be guards of the village when we were older well all of us except for Violet and Angie, Violet had made it up that she would be a scholar and Angie was a witchcraft user and she wanted to learn everything about what she could use her power for. Anyways we trained for about an hour with one of the guards and then of course something bad had to happen, my cousin Will showed up. Will was a fun sponge and had a crush on Ariana who in turn wanted to kill him sometimes. "Hello little cousin.", teased Will. "First off I'm older than you second you're a boy and of course you're taller than me!", I remarked. Will always teased me but never really thought about what he teased me with sometimes so I was able to make a lot of comebacks against him. "Well I have a magics and you don't.", he teased. That stung me, he had magics and I didn't, but I earned things and didn't rely on magics to make them happen. My cousin had shadow magics and could control shadows and use them to knock you out and I had nothing! We ignored my cousin until lunch when we then began to race around looking for Ariana.

An hour had passed and Ariana still wasn't back yet. Her family was very fast  and could navigate the forest better than anyone else in the village so why was she not here yet!? Just then we heard a rustle in the leaves of the tree behind us and THUD! We turned around to see what had caused the thund and sure enough it was Ariana with her face planted in the dirt. "I hate my life...", mumbled Ariana which sounded muffled because of the dirt. When she got up we all raced toward her and gave her a bear hug. "Ariana! I can't believe you're back!", exclaimed Jessie. "Don't worry my parents said we aren't going on another long trip like that in a long time.", replied Ariana, "Anyways I brought you guys presents!", and she proceeded to pas them out. Violet got a book she had been dying to read, Jack got a practice shield that was elaborately decorated, Angie got a book of spells, Jessie got some potions of speed, Ari got a practice helmet, Nico got some chocolate, Ana got a pendent, Alice got a bracelet, and I got a practice sword with designs carved into the hilt. "Oh my Irene, thank you Ariana. I really needed a practice sword, now I don't have to rent one each time I have to train!", I exclaimed giving Ariana a hug. "Are you sure that's actually yours?", remarked Will strongly with envy. "Yes of course it's hers, it was made by one of the best blacksmiths in Scaleswind!", replied Ariana. "Oh but she doesn't deserve it, she relys so much on magics. Why not give it to me who works for everything he earns?", answered Will demandingly. "Yeah right, we all know how dependent on magic you are on everything! Lizzie works hard, she deserves it.", shouted Ariana. "Oh you asked for it!", exclaimed Will, his eyes turning a shade of dark black and suddenly I felt very tired and everything went black.

When I woke up I found my new sword and Will gone! Oh that jerk! He had the nerve to take something from me that a friend had given to me. He is going to pay for that! My friends all started to wake up when I was on his trail. He was taller than me so he had a larger stride than me, but I knew my way around the village and knew where all his hideouts were. Sure enough he was at his most constant hideout, the tree in the plaza. "Give.Me.Back.My.Sword.Will!", I exclaimed with fury. "Doesn't have your name on it and finders keepers losers weepers!", he teased and stuck his tounge out at me. "Give Lizzie back her sword!", exclaimed Ariana. "Yeah, Ariana gave it to her and not you!", shouted Jack holding his shield. "Oh that does it!", exclaimed Alice and she began climbing the tree to get to him. I noticed Will grab a branch of the tree that was going to fall off at any moment and throw it down at her. "Alice look out!", I screamed, but it was too late and the branch hit her and she fell off the tree dazed. "Alice!", I exclaimed as I rushed toward her. Angie came forward to help heal her as she was the only one who somewhat knew how. "Don't worry she should be all right.", said Angie trying to reassure us. I felt mad and Will.

We spent another hour tying to get him to come down and give me back my sword without luck, he just refused to come down. Then I had a freak idea, have Ariana use her magic and get him down. I would be risky as Ariana was only a little better as when she had been here last. We decided that it was the only option and went with it. "Hey Will! Get a load of this!", exclaimed Ariana as she used her magic to make a freak gust of wind strong enough to knock him down. It actually worked but when he landed he wasn't harmed, only enraged. He charged straight at me with the sword. Yeah I know what kind of person would charge their cousin? Well my cousin of course! Anyways he charged me and I dodged his first charge but he used his magics and soon he had a sword pointed at my throat. "Stop!", I shouted but he just pointed it closer. "Well well well look who has the upper hand here you or me.", he replied with a smirk. I closed my eyes and wished for a miracle and who knew the surprise I'd get.

I felt energy pump through my body ready for battle,

I felt like I for once was taller and stronger than someone else besides Angie,

I felt a sword materialize into my hand along with armor minus a helmet,

I felt like I could fight anyone who dared.

I decided the only logical thing to do at that point was charge which I did. A crowd had started to gather around the fight and was growing pretty big. I dodged almost every hit and if one did hit me it just bounced off my armor.

Soon I had my sword pointed against Will's throat with his back to the ground. I felt the energy and strength leave me and I felt myself shift back to my normal size but I still had the sword in hand which I noticed looked the color of the rainbow. Rainbow light is the name a voice said in my head telling me the name of the sword I was holding. It had a blue gem just below the hilt and the hilt itself had swirly designs carved into it. "Fine I give up!", said a defeated Will, "Here take your stupid sword", he said unwillingly as he gave it to me. The sword in my had disappeared and I took the one Ariana had given to me. "Uh thanks?", I said and walked away from my cousin. My friends ran toward me with looks of shock and pure amazement. "That.Was.Amazing!", exclaimed Ariana, "How in Irene's sake did you do that?" "I don't know it just happened.", I said still shocked at what was going on. "Lizzie you should be the one teaching us how to fight not one of the guards!", exclaimed Jack. "To be honest I don't even know how I did that.", I replied. Then the head guard of the village came forth from the crowd of observers with a look of shock on his face. "Well I seems we have a very special case here. It seems Miss Lizzie here is a natural born Jury of Nine member something never seen before until this day at this time!", exclaimed the head guard. Murmurs went around the crowd. What was the jury of nine and how exactly did I do that?
