Chapter 4 + hiatus note.
---
3rd person POV
---
The day had ended. The moon, in its full glory, to Rosalina Cordello seemed as if was laughing at her.
The night of the accident felt the same to her.
The unsettling feeling in her chest-- the fear of losing her only family.
She remembered all the times she was with Tati like she did when her parents were gone.
That night, she was sure Tati was fine-- or maybe she had driven herself to the illusion that Tati was fine.
She realised that when her sister sprang up and frantically looked around and screamed,
"Mamma! Papi!"
Rosa jerked in the chair, waking up from her dose of sleep, shocked to hear her scream like that... again.
She had experienced nightmares for a few years after the accident but was stabilising with the help of a doctor.
A few tears down the younger's eyes as she saw the figure in the shadow. She drifted to the opposite side of the bed,
"D-Don't kill me! I-I don't know Rosalina! P-please don't kill her!" Her sobbing increased.
Rosa turned on the lights immediately and went towards her slowly,
"I'm here! Look!"
Tati, mistaking her resemblance to her mother, hugged her waist and cried,
"Mamma! They're going to kill me and sorella!" She cried and wept and sobbed.
Rosa trembled and held her tight, "She wouldn't let anything harm you." Her voice was a whisper.
She made her lie down again.
"Sorella is alone at the office--"
Rosa shushed her, "She will never be alone. She has a sister like you."
Tati drifted back to sleep slowly while mumbling that her sorella was alone and she needed to be with her.
Rosa fell back into the chair.
"I should be worried about you, not the other way around." She sniffled.
She tried to stay strong, but it broke her admit that she was as disturbed by the ambush as much Tati was.
"I would have ended my life if I had lost you that day." She sobbed, "But I promised to take care of you and provide you with everything."
"I failed..." She cried with her face in her hands.
________
She did not remind Tati of the incident but talked to her about it.
"I kept the door open like I always do. I heard a click so I thought it was you."

Flashback

Tatiana's POV
I heard a click of the door downstairs and decided to greet my sister.
I heard a few footsteps.
No way. Did she actually end up bring guys with her!? I knew she was kinky but there is no way she could've brought one for herself?
I pushed my thoughts aside and ran.
On reaching the staircase I saw an old man and a few other young guys.
"How did you get in?" I demanded.
The old man winced, "That reeking arrogance is what I hated the most!"
The other guys came forward and marched right up.
I backed away but he cornered me, "Pity to see such a beautiful face be bruised." He smirked.
The other guy tried manhandling me towards the rooms.
No! I know how this will go!
I kicked the guy in front of me, making him fall and wiggled out to run away but he caught my hair.
"Very eager aren't we?" The guy from earlier shoved his face against my neck and licked.
I struggled to get away but hit my head against the wall.
"Where is Rosalina?" The old man boomed, "Is she not home?"
"I don't know who you're talking about--"
Not her-- Not Rosa-- Not my family again-- no--
All that ran through my head was useless as I couldn't match his strength.
My head was spinning and all I could think of was escaping guy's nasty hold and saving Rosa from not giving them her information.
"Rosalina Cordello! Your sister!"
"S-She died! On the day of the accident!" I screamed and pushed both the guys down.
The old man came up to me with the guys. I was ready to fight them but my dizziness got the better of me.
He caught my hair and pulled as I heard another click from the door--
"Tati! I'm here!" The familiar soothing and enthusiastic voice of my elder sister and only family.
Not Rosa...

3rd person POV
"That is all I can remember." Tati sighed.
"Marco tied them up and will interrogate them." Rosa said while standing up.
"D-Don't go-- out of the house!" Tati caught her hand.
Rosa looked away, trying to hide her emotions and Tati looked straight at her with pleading eyes.
"I won't." Rosa replied, "I'll bring you some food now, shouldn't I?"
Tati smiled.
Tati smiled.
'How could she smile...?' Rosa thought as she went down.
_______
Short update!
Well, my tri-yearly exams are coming up! [Will last about a month and a half]
I was going to make the story's mystery project on soon but I didn't want to skip Tati's POV-- since I didn't want her too seem like a damsel in distress or anything of the sorts.
She can fight back as much as Rosa can, and I'm happy that I was able to put that forward before the hiatus.
My loyal reader(s),
I will update when I'm bored, but I'm 90 that it'll be a short one--
So hiatus for me, my anxiety, and my 50% chance of failing the legendry exams.
