The Ox King
After the events of Goku, Ava and Bulma finding out Oolong had a dyno cap all along and it was a caravan; they then ran into Yamcha and Puar again, Goku punching the desert bandit in the face causing him to crack a tooth and run off.
Ava was kinda upset with Goku when he fought Yamcha when she wanted to, but soon let her brother off since he was like her, always wanting to fight. The four continue on their journey, by Yamcha giving them a car, traveling towards to where sixth dragon ball lays. On the way there, Ava thought back to the mysterious boy in her dream.
She was sure she had seen him before but it would be impossible. The first person they had seen besides their grandpa was Bulma. Thankfully, Bulma's nagging of this Ox King brought Ava out of her thoughts and listen in to the conversation taking place.
"How many times do I have to tell you, Oolong? That legend of the Ox King isn't real. And how could a mountain possibly catch on fire and hasn't died out yet? Please, I've heard legends almost as silly as that."
Bulma said, relaxing in the back with Ava, while wearing a bunny outfit that Oolong kept in his caravan. Ava found in strange for someone like him keeping clothes that didn't fit him, but she thought of it no more.
"Great, of all the people whose keeping me against my will, are non-believers. Can this day get any better? Listen, all that I can say is that you'll believe me when you see it."
Oolong said, defending his beliefs.
"Whatever you say. Although, I'm getting a bit hot. And that's saying something because I'm barely even wearing anything. Thanks a lot, Oolong."
Bulma said, expressing her words of disgust to the man-pig.
"Well tuts, it's either that or go look for the dragon balls naked. And I like both options if you ask me."
Oolong said, smiling a dirty grin.
"You would. Dirty pig."
Bulma mumbled under her breath, while waving her hand in front of her face to cool down. Later on down the road, a blazing light came into view, making Goku say,
"Wow, look at the sunset. It's so bright."
Ava leaned over to look out of the front window and saw something bright.
"That can't be. It's still early in the day."
Ava said curiously.
"Of course its still early in the day. Because that's Fire Mountain!"
Oolong said, making the others shocked that it's real.
Driving closer and closer to it, all of them saw the mountain more clear. They came to a halt and got out of the car. Ava and Goku jumped on top of the car's hood and watched along with Bulma and Oolong, see this amazing sight.
"I've never seen anything like this before. How is it possible?"
Bulma questioned, mostly to herself.
"Good, now that you guys have seen it, let's go."
Oolong said quickly.
"Stop been so scared, Oolong. We're not going anywhere without that dragon ball."
Bulma said, scowling at said person.
"Being scared is human, ya know. And we should leave. The Ox King is probably somewhere around here."
Oolong defended himself and look around cautiously.
"Could the dragon ball be inside the castle?"
Ava asked anyone.
"Yeah it might. All you have to do is get past the most fearsome giant in the world, pass that blazing fire of death and then the dragon ball is all yours!"
Oolong shouted, then quickly clasped a hand over his mouth, realising the Ox King could be lurking about.
"Huh, sounds easy."
Ava and Goku said in sync.
'Does these kids even know the words fear and death?!'
Oolong thought, as he watched the kids dumbfounded.
"So does the Ox King live in the castle?"
Bulma asked Oolong.
He then began to tell the reason why the king didn't live there and how the fire became a problem for those live there. Goku and Ava jumped down and off the car and continued to watch the mountain. After he explained, Oolong quickly jumped back in the car and got ready to drive away.
"Oolong! You're such a coward!"
Bulma screeched at him.
"Of course I'm a coward! You might not be because you think that these babies are going to protect you but they're no match for the Ox King!"
Oolong shouted.
"Grandpa taught us to be fearless so we're not scared."
Goku said, Ava nodding in agreement.
"Yeah?! Well this is what my Grandpa taught me! So long, suckers!"
Oolong shouted as he drove off.
"OOLONG! GET BACK HERE, YOU LITTLE TWAT!"
Bulma shouted in frustration.
"Hey Bulma, let's give him a head start first."
Ava said smiling.
Fifteen feet away, all three shouted the piggy word, causing Oolong to stopped and use the bathroom. Ava couldn't hold in her laughter any more and let it out while the others carried on. Oolong had no other choice but come back and they all soon drove towards Fire Mountain.
They soon came upon a village, beneath the mountain. Goku and Ava were looking something while Bulma started to sweat and said,
"Oh my word, it's even hotter here. I can't stand this heat."
"Shh, are you trying to get us killed? If the Ox King hears us, we're all doomed."
Oolong whispered, making Bulma roll her eyes.
Ava decided to let Goku play with what they found and stand next to Bulma.
"Boy, that's one big fire, right Ava? How are we going to get up there?"
Bulma asked her friend.
"Hmm, Goku. Do you think you can use the Nimbus to fly up there to get the dragon ball?"
The said girl asked her brother, pointing to the mountain. What she saw next made her laugh. Goku held up a skeleton head and said something like I don't know. All of them except for Oolong, laughed. Goku threw it away and shouted,
"FLYING NMBUS!"
It came and Goku flew up to the mountain, ignoring Oolong saying,
"Great, now the Ox King is gonna know we're here."
Ava watched her brother try to get in the castle. She ran a bit closer to the mountain, making Bulma shout,
"AVA! DON'T GET TOO CLOSE TO THE FIRE!"
The said girl replied ok and stayed out of harms way. She disappeared from the other two's sight and watched Goku get his tail burnt. She shouted up to him,
"GOKU! THERE'S SOME WATER NEARBY! GO THERE!"
Ava ran towards the said water and waited for her brother to come. She saw Goku dive in that lake and heard him sigh in relief. She began chuckling at her brother, which he says,
"Come on, sis. It's not funny."
Ava stopped and helped her brother cool the tail down.
"So I'm guessing, there's no way in?"
Ava asked.
"Yep. That fire is really nasty when you get close to it."
Goku replied.
Not long after he said that, they heard Bulma scream their names. Goku called out his power pole and grabbed Ava close to him. The two took the ride over where Bulma and Oolong was. They landed next to their friends, not noticing a newcomer was there.
"It's going to be tougher then we thought. There's no way into the castle."
Goku said, letting go of Ava and both smiling. But the other two didn't smile. They both said,
"YOU IDIOT!"
Both siblings were confused until they heard a deep and booming voice shout in anger,
"I KNEW IT! YOU GUYS ARE NOTHING BUT TRESURE HUNTERS!"
Ava turned to see an enormous man, who stood over ten feet tall. Doing the right thing, she says while smiling,
"Hi there."
"DON'T YOU HI--oh, you're tiny."
The big man says.
"I know I am, sir."
Ava answered back.
"Oh I know. Hey, what's that thing around your neck, little one? I'm sure I've seen it before."
He asked.
Ava looked down at her necklace, shining with all its glory. She looked at the giant and replied,
"This is my gift from the Turtle Hermit, for helping his friend, the turtle."
The big man went to reply, when Oolong shouted,
"GIRL! ARE YOU CRAZY?! THAT'S THE OX KING! RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!"
Ava gasped then smiled at the newcomer, now known as the Ox King. Goku then said while standing next to his sister,
"So you're the one that Oolong's afraid of. You must have incredible power."
"Yes, I do but it's thanks to the Turtle Hermit for my power. His real name is Master Roshi, my old teacher. Do you two know where I can find him?"
Ok King asked.
"Well, we found him on the beach and gave us gifts. Me, a dragon ball. Ava, the necklace and Goku the flying Nimbus. If I'm not mistaken, he shouldn't be too far from there."
Bulma replied, making the Ok King jump for joy.
After his little moment, Ox King noticed Ava's and Goku's poles and asked where did they get that. Goku replied from their grandpa, Gohan. Ox King then told them both about how he and their grandpa used to fight all the time and that Gohan was the first to be chosen by Master Roshi to be trained.
While Ava and Goku introduced themselves, Bulma and Oolong finally realized where the siblings had their strength. After the talk, Ox King then said,
"Goku, Ava. There's something important that I need to ask of you."
"What is it, sir?"
Ava asked.
"Master Roshi has in his procession, the Bansho Fan. I need it, for its the only thing powerful enough to get rid of the flames that's trapping me from getting into my castle. Could you use the Flying Nimbus to go to him and borrow the fan?"
He asked, going on his knees, begging the kids. Goku asked,
"Of course we will. And could you do something for us please?"
"Yes, anything. I will reward you with anything you desire."
Ok King replied, feeling relieved that they accepted his plead for help.
"We believe that a dragon ball is up in your castle. Here, this is what they look like. Do you have one?"
Ava asked, showing her grandpa's dragon ball. Ox King looked at it and nodded. He then replied,
"Little girl, I have what you seek. It's in the castle, your beliefs are to be right. You may have it."
All four of them smiled and were glad that they almost have their sixth dragon ball. Goku said,
"We'll be back with the fan, as soon as possible."
And both siblings jumped on the cloud, ready to take off when the Ox King stopped them.
"Wait. There's something else that you two should know. Yesterday I sent my only child, Chichi, to retrieve the Fan. But I'm worried that she's in trouble, for she hasn't returned yet. Could you both please find and bring her back to me?"
And he then pulled a picture out, showing what his daughter looks like. Ava looked closely at her and took picture off the Ox King. She then placed it in her Gi and said,
"Don't worry, sir. We'll find her and bring both her and the Fan back. We won't be long."
Then they both took off, getting praise from the ones who stayed behind, They went searching for both tasks, but what both didn't know, is that this is a start of great rivalry and it doesn't start with either of them.
