Profiles:

20lait1

This is 20lait1, otherwise known as Lait!

*Lait waves*

"Hi everyone, I'm Lait. I'm going to apologise in advance for any of my answers to these types of questions because I'm not very 'social' on Wattpad or the community. "

Friends she wanted to shoutout to: Lucid_fantasies_

People she hopes to be friends with: Musa_Nova and DJ_FTLz88

"I'm a fan of fantasy and adventure (to nobody's surprise). Of course, I read a fair bit of fanfiction too... but aside from that, some of my favourite Zodiac books at the moment would be..."

Zodiac High series by Lucid_fantasies_

Zodiac Mansion by DJ_FTLz88

and iamconfusion34 's zodiac books

Goals: I'm hoping that I'll be able to write 12 Zodiac books one day with each Zodiac being the main protagonist (like how Leo is the protagonist of Breaking Free), but that's a far way to go.

Profile 2:

Raye_of_light

Raye has black hair, , dark brown eyes, olive skin tone, and she's 5'1". She's 13 years of age, and  usually dresses in vintage aesthetics on days she feels good about herself.

"Hi! I like reading mystery and fantasy, I also enjoy writing about these genres. I could say some of my favorite Zodiac books would be The Chaos Flat and Daybreak's Crest."

(A/n, The Chaos Flat is credited to SpiritGazer)

(A/n, the book Daybreak's Crest is by 20lait1)

Goals: I mainly got into Wattpad to have access to more books. I accidentally stumbled upon the zodiac hole and immediately fell in love with it. My goal as of now is to reach 100 followers.

Question 1: "So who inspired your best book? Why?"

Lait : I read through a lot of Zodiac stories, so I don't have a specific inspiration for Breaking Free (which I'd assume to be my best book due to the views). I do recall Zodiac Mansion by AlyssaTheDragon and Zodiac High by Lucid_fantasies_ being some of the Zodiac books that were most memorable to me!

Raye : My current zodiac book is loosely based on everything I'm remotely interested in that it's hard to pinpoint an actual inspiration. But 20lait1's writing would be the closest to said inspiration.

Hmm...so we have a seasoned author and a newer fan...

Question 2: "Your opinion on the zodiac personifying community and horoscopes."

Lait : "The Zodiac personifying community is really varied and that's one of their quirks! I think the community has progressed from just stereotypes to giving their Zodiac characters some depth – not that the stereotypes are bad in any way, though! Personally, I don't actually look at any horoscopes though the generic Instagram/Tumblr posts are fun to look at (but I don't take any of them too seriously). If I had to give one thing I'm not fond of in the Zodiac community, and I'm sure other writers of Zodiac books would know this, is that some people complain about character genders and some people complain about how a character/their Zodiac is portrayed. Personally, I'd just think that if they didn't like how a character is/is portrayed, then they should just close the book and leave it be. I'm not very fond of the people who do that, haha."

I see...

Raye: " I personally adore the community, and I'm very much intrigued about each authors perception about a certain zodiac."

Yes Raye , I am too!

Question 3: "What are your hopes for the zodiac personifying community?"

Lait : " Personally, I'd hope that there would be more original plots/stories in the Zodiac community; not that the ones with similar themes are bad, but I always find that stories with original plots are more interesting, even if they might have similar themes as well!"

Yes, that is true.

Raye : "I hope that this community will grow and be more diverse. "

Question 4: "A indepth explanation of how you write and advice to other writers"

Lait : "I don't have a particular way I write; sometimes I can write several chapters within a few days and in other days, I can't write at all for a few weeks. It just depends on inspiration. Sometimes, I stop writing the story for a while and focus on other writing projects, like Zodiac oneshots or non-related pieces of writing. But for my writing, specifically... I always have the digital thesaurus on hand because it's really helpful. A personal tip from me is to avoid using the same words a lot (though I'm not good at that myself) and, if not necessary, you don't have to 'tag' all the dialogue! (e.g. 'Aries said') If it's clear who's speaking, you can just leave paragraphs of just dialogue. (I know it's hard though, especially with Zodiac stories with up to twelve characters in a place at a time.)"

Raye : "My writing style is heavily dependent on narration, and less on dialogue. I had recently scrapped my past habit of using point of views, as I am not comfortable with them. My advice on my fellow authors would be to stick on what's comfortable to you. You don't necessarily have to twist your writing style to accommodate to your readers, because you'd eventually lose your motivation. "

Question 5: "Your views toward socialising on wattpad and the clique we find ourself in."

Lait : "This probably isn't a very good question to ask me because I rarely socialise on Wattpad, but I feel like Wattpad's 'socialising' features aren't that good, since the only ways people can socialise is through PM or comments. I think the fact that other Zodiac writers in the community do quite a good job of socialising with each other (I'm not very sociable so I can't say for sure, haha). I'm going to guess that as a 'clique', people outside the Zodiac community might view the books as 'cringy', and the fact is that it's quite hard to find actual Zodiac 'stories' amongst the various Zodiac 'books' for fandoms (you know, the ones that are just 'what character are you')."

I actually feel like this is relatable, because you have to browse through thousands of stories to find the good ones. I guess this is what this book is for!

Raye : "I am not the best at socializing, which is why I'm rarely ever seen interacting with fellow authors. Although, I do think it's an amazing thing - for people with same interests to be able to freely interact. If given the chance, it would be nice to invest in socializing with many amazing authors. "

Hmm....this seems to point to serious authors being loners...(jk)

Question 6: "(sparked by discord's rising popularity)would you want to start a discord chat for some select zodiac obsessed people if given the chance?"

Lait : "Again, I'm not very sociable and rarely use Discord, so I probably wouldn't use it, but the idea would be interesting!"

Raye : " I certainly would. If I get over my shyness, that is."

Aww...Raye is so cute...

Question 7: "What do you think would happen if you stuffed 12 wattpaders, 1 from each zodiac into a 'room' what would happen."

Lait : " I don't know many people in particular, but I feel like there would either be a lot of excited chatter... or it would be dead silent. Are writers usually introverts or extraverts? I wouldn't know, but that situation would certainly be a chaotic one... (I don't know who those 12 would be because I don't know many people specifically that are each Zodiac, sorry!)"

Haha Lait, that's fine.

Raye : "I think it would be chaos. Whether it's the good type of chaos or bad, it depends on the situation at hand. But I certainly think a room with many different personalities would be anything but peaceful."

I think there's some sort of mutual consensus here...

Question 8: "your attitude towards comments."

Lait : "I love seeing comments, even if they're just short remarks or people screaming random stuff because it shows me that people read my stories and they actually care. Ironically, I'm not good at showing my support through comments on other stories when reading because I'm more of a... more socially awkward person? But comments on my stories are really nice to see! On the other hand, I've already given my opinion on comments complaining about a Zodiac's portrayal/gender, so... yep, that should be it."

I know the feeling as an author...although a not very active one lol

Raye : " I love reading comments, more than I would like to admit. As a small creator, knowing that actual people read my story is amazing to me. I certainly hope more readers would leave comments on books because it really impacts the author in many different ways."

Any ending words?

Lait: "Thanks for coming to me! I quite enjoyed considering these questions and answering them."

You are welcome!

Raye : "Sorry for the extremely late reply!"

Oh, don't sweat it!

Viewers, I hope you enjoyed it! So sorry I released this late. If anyone else would like an interview, please pm me or comment below!
