Earth POV

"So, you guys are changing your plan?" 

"Yeah, since the majority voted it." Taurus shrugged. "11 out of 12 signs." He turned around and saw a sullen Aries, sulking in the corner at Capricorn, who replied, "But it's true!"

"Wait till you see me use my other hand." My attention turned to Gemini, who had lost a thumb war against Sagittarius. 

"Sure. This battle is going to get intense-"

"Okay everyone, listen up." I recited, waving my hands around to gather attention. All the signs turned their heads around, like a puppy who caught interest in a butterfly. "If we want to beat Ophiuchus, we have to be ready for anything that comes in our way. So, we will be making new groups. Each group... will have a member from each element, and will be... distributed by your quality. This means that the, uh... Cardinal signs will be a group, the Fixed signs will be another and the Mutable signs will be the last." I said, searching for the right words.

"But can we keep our old groups? I really enjoyed being with Virgo, Neptune and Ceres..." Pisces asked.

"Pisces, this challenge is about testing our wits, so in every group, I put each sign with someone you hate, someone you are good friends with and a person you are okay with, so you can communicate more." I explained.

"Wait, have you guys seen the planets?" Capricorn suddenly asked. 

"I dunno. Maybe, they went out for ice cream? Pluto told me something like that..." started Virgo, before she was interrupted by some '"They're eating ice cream?!"'s from Taurus, Gemini and Cancer.

"That's so unfair!" Cancer complained. 

"But we do need to train..." piped in Libra automatically. 

Sagittarius decided to ask a different question. "Okay, but what the hell are you talking about with the teams!"

"Yeah, can someone please explain why we are not splitting into our house teams?" Cancer asked cluelessly.

I sighed. The zodiacs were a tough bunch to handle today. They were probably all thinking about the fact that Ophiuchus could strike at any moment, and none of them were really prepared.

"These group I sorted you into include one sign from each house, there will be one sign in your group that you are quite close to, there is one sign in your group that you really hate and finally there will be one sign that you don't mind or you find them okay," I explained, trying to contemplate with patience.

"You literally just said that just now." said Leo unnecessarily.

"I bet I know at least one person in my group, and that person is one I hate very much!" Virgo grumbled, shooting a disgusted look at Gemini. 

"Okay so the first group is: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, the second group is: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius and the last group is: Gemini, Virgo, SagIttarius and Pisces!" I explained hope that I wouldn't get shouted at.

"Come, on seriously!" Scorpio complained, "I don't want to be with Leo!" 

"I didn't want to be with you either," scoffed Leo. 

"Wait... I'm the only girl in my group," Aquarius realized. "Help me."

"GEMINI!" Sagittarius shouted, they hugged each other briefly before Virgo and Pisces came along. Shortly after, the four of them started arguing.

"SILENCE!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.

"What is with everybody and the shouting?" Capricorn shook his tired head.

"I know I said this before but I want to say it again! Today we are going to be doing some puzzles to get our brains thinking. These our creative puzzles, which can help you think outside of the box. That way, it's easier to propose a plan!" I said in a forced cheerful tone. 

"Yay!" Virgo cheered, as she was clearly the smartest in her group.

"Hahaha, we've got Cap, so we're definitely gonna win..." Cancer whispered to Aries sneakily.

"I know!" Aries whispered back, rather annoyed. I let out a small chuckle. It was kinda funny seeing them argue, and I realized that there was no point in being angry anymore.

"So..." I scanned the paper in my hands, before passing some puzzles out. "You have to decipher the code in your teams. Okay, 3... 2... 1... start!" I shouted.

"Um, so A... wait no..." Leo muttered to his group.

-In Team 1-

"So A is 10 and B is 1, so if..." Capricorn muttered to himself.

"Hurry up, Capricorn! We're going to lose! Why do you have to be so slow? Ughhhhh..." Aries whined uncontrollably, before rubbing her eyes. 

"Aries, don't rush him... let Cap do his thing!" Cancer remained calm, watching the ink from Capricorn's pen glide smoothly across the paper.

-In Team 2-

Taurus' head still had not moved from the table.

"Taurus, wake up, dude... Aquarius, um, are you done?" Scorpio asked while shaking the sleeping figure.

"No," Aquarius replied.

"I'm helping her" Leo added proudly.

-In Team 3-

*everyone is whispering and working when finally Sagittarius stands up*

"VIRGO GOT THE CODE!" Sagittarius shouted, and he and Gemini celebrated. The four of them all high-fived, and for the first time ever, Gemini hugged Virgo, before realizing who he was hugging. He then pushed Virgo off him.

"Eww..." began Virgo. Team 2 praised them all, still astonished that Team 3 was able to crack the so quickly.

"WE GOT THE CODE!" Aries shouted suddenly.

"I hate to be that person... but Sagittarius just said Virgo got the code," Capricorn added.

"Yeah, but we got it too!" Aries fought back.

"But... they got it first," Cancer replied. 

"Okay, they got the code first but we were close right?" Aries asked, regaining her calmness, although, there wasn't much in her. 

"We got it 1 minute after them!" Capricorn explained.

"I feel really jealous right now!" Aries puffed. She was obviously in a terrible mood.

"YEAH I KNOW! THEY MUST BE PURPOSELY DOING THIS!" Cancer raged, which was really unlike Cancer.

"Can we take a break?" Libra moaned, with Pisces who continued in with a "Pretty please?"

"Sure, you guys deserve it." 

"I'm just going to rent a hotel for all of us to sleep in for 4 hours, before we head back home." Sagittarius reached for his phone.

"Yay!" all the signs cheered.

Like the signs, I felt really tired while writing the story so I just incorporated it into the plot? Okay, that was strange... anyways, see you guys in the next chapter.
