Chapter 28
In the city,
Midnight...
Third Person's POV
Izuku and Eri were resting in an abandoned house in the middle of city. The older girl pulled out a packet of bread. She unsealed the packet, opening the wrap. Eri then took the bread from her hand.
"Thank you, Izuku-neechan..." Eri uttered, her voice almost inaudible. Izuku smiled at her little sister and ruffled her hair. "It's okay. No need to worry anymore. I promise we will have a new life... A much better one." She assured convincingly, earning a nod from the little girl. She started eating the melon bread slowly.
Izuku watched Eri eating the melon bread in silence, a small sad smile spread on her freckled-face. She looked up to the starts sky, the faces of her bodyguards, Kai and Hari flashed before her emerald eyes.
'I'm sorry for doing this... I just want you all to change... I want you all to know how important it is... To cherish a life... Of a human being...' She clenched her palm into shaking fist.
"Neechan...?" Eri tugged on her top softly, catching her attention. The female greenette looked down to the silvernette. "Yes, Eri?" She quirked an eyebrow at her.
"... Is this a... Right choice? I just... I just don't want to trouble you..." Eri voiced out her uncertainty. Hearing her heartbreaking voice pained Izuku's heart so much.
Without hesitation, Izuku pulled Eri into a tight, desperate hug. "You will never trouble me, Eri. This is my own choice. The path I have chosen to walk on. So don't worry yourself about it, okay?" She whispered into her ear softly.
Tears filled in the little girl's big crimson eyes. She buried her face in her shoulder, her small hands clutched on the back of her top. "Come on, don't cry... I'm here for you now, Eri. And I will always be here by your side." Izuku pumped up her fist while grinning widely at her.
Eri felt the burden in her heart lightened up a bit. Her lips quivered, tears wouldn't stop rolling down her cheeks. Izuku's words of encouragement touched her. She was the only person who treated her like a real human being, besides their grandfather.
Speaking of Pops, now the little girl started to miss the middle aged-man. How she missed his gentle smile, his warm affection, his loving pat on her head. Pops' face appeared in her mind, and she felt the guilt in her stomach squeezing her guts.
Izuku didn't know the truth behind his comatose state.
But Eri knew.
The small girl looked up to her big sister. Izuku tilted her head questionably, an innocent smile plastered on her freckled-face.
'I-I really can't tell her.. It will break Neechan's heart. I don't want to make her feel sad more than she already feels...' She buried her face back in Izuku's shoulder, baffling the older girl.
However, Izuku didn't ask any questions. She patted Eri's back to comfort her. In her perspective, Eri was still feeling down and needed moral support to give her strength.
"Neechan—"
But before Eri could speak up, she smelled something burning in the house. Izuku sensed something was wrong. She untangled herself from Eri, gripping her shoulders firmly, not wanting to let her go. She looked around in seriousness, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Neechan...?"
Izuku didn't reply. She sling her backpack back on her shoulders and picked Eri up. The younger girl squeaked in surprise.
"Stay quiet. Someone is watching us..." Izuku whispered to the confused Eri. She stared at her serious face in complete cluelessness.
'It's here...!'
Izuku suddenly jumped to the other side when blue flame charged toward them at lightning speed. She held Eri tightly in her arms, swearing to herself not to let her go, no matter what happened.
"Neechan, what is that?!" Eri started to panic, crystal tears trickling down her face. 'Did... Did he plan to kill Neechan? But why? I thought... I thought the yakuzas... C-cherish her...' She thought in disbelief.
Izuku was gritting her teeth firmly. Her hold around Eri tightened protectively.
"Man, you are so swift... That's kinda impressive, "Young Lady"." A cynical husky voice spoke up from the depth of darkness. His figure gradually showed up, startling Izuku.
"You... You are..." Her green eyes widened big. "The guy who helped me at the theme park.."
Izuku couldn't believe her eyes. To think the man who she thought was a nice person... Turned out to be a villain...
"Yo, Midoriya. I'm happy to see you again." The villain— Dabi from League of Villains — gave her a salute. Izuku stared at him with trembling irises.
"Why... You..."
All of a sudden, a rush of realization hit her mind. 'Now I remember! He is... He is a member of League of Villains! Why am I so stupid not to notice so soon?!' She felt extremely frustrated with her density.
"What bring you here? What do you want from us?" Izuku asked with her darkened voice. She glared at the ravenette deadly.
"Wow, you are looking very scary there. Come on, I'm only here to greet you. It had been a while since we last met so it won't hurt to say hi, right?" Dabi walked closer to the two young ladies. Izuku stepped back farther from him.
"Greeting me by blasting your flame at us? I don't think so..." Izuku sarcastically replied. Eri buried her face in her neck, fear arise in her system.
"Damn, you are acting so cold and mean now... Completely different than before..." Dabi rubbed the back of his neck defeatedly.
"Well, whatever. I was ordered to bring you back alive... But he never said I could never harm you so..." Dabi raised his hand that was engulfed with blue flame.
"Let's test your skills a little, shall we?"
Without warning, Dabi blasted another hot, burning scary blue flame toward them. But before it could reach the two girls, the flame disappeared before their eyes.
Dabi was literally flabbergasted. He narrowed his bavy blue eyes at the older girl. Her irises were glowing bright green, the curly tips of her long hair levitated in the air slightly. A translucent barrier was surrounding them.
'Oh, she finally shows her true colors...? But I thought she was Quirkless? Now, this is rather... Intriguing.' He smirked to himself evilishly.
"You are pretty strong... There is no way I can beat you, Midoriya." The male exclaimed in defeat. Izuku let out a soft hum of perplexity.
'I wasn't lying... I definitely can't beat her in Quirk fight... It looks like her Quirk repel Quirks...so I can't use my power to defeat her... But in physical battle...' His smirk grew wide.
Izuku glared coldly at the dangerous villain. "Then give up. Leave us alone!" She yelled at him from the top of her lungs angrily. Eri lifted her head up, only to see approaching them from behind.
The little girl gasped in horror. "Izuku-neechan, behind you!" She hollered loudly, catching her attention. Izuku turned around...
... But her consciousness faded away then seconds she turned around.
"Sleep well, Izuku
Midoriya..."

eanwhile,
Shie Hassaikai's residence...
For the first time in their lives working as yakuza, everyone was silenced. All of them were silently frustrated with the disappearance of their precious young lady and her little sister. But her disappearance hit Kai and Hari the most.
Kai was a mess. His hair was unruly, his eyes were wide with worry. The unfortunate incident that happened before flashed before his eyes. Guilt pang his heart when he remembered every single sins he committed. He betrayed, he lied, he manipulated... But worst, he tortured.
The Eight Bullets of Hassai group stared at their quiet boss worriedly, except for Rappa. That large man didn't seem to feel sympathy toward his superior at all. His only concern was Izuku's safety. What if the young girl gets hurt? What if some scumbags attack her?
Hari and Mimic walked into the living room, along with Sabito. He had his phone in his hand.
"What did you find?" Kai immediately spoke up, eager to know the result. Hari clenched his fist shakily. "We found her whereabout, Overhaul." The right-hand man announced the good news.
"Thanks to Young Lady's phone GPS, I suceedes in tracking down her location. But the problem is, Boss..." Sabito looked up to the young leader nervously.
"She was in an unusual place... From what I could conclude, her current location was located in a forest... Where people don't really visit." He voiced out his thoughts.
"And what is the problem? It is easier to get her back if she is in a place with no many people." Kai didn't see any problem in his statement.
"That's not the problem. What bother me the most is, she wasn't alone with Young Lady Eri. There are..."
"...There are unknown people with them..."
