☁ Chapter 27 ☁
Underground,
Kai's office,
Midnight...
Third Person's POV
Hari picked up a photo frame sitting on top of Kai's table. Kai ignored his action, focusing on his work though his mind was wandering somewhere else.
The picture was displaying three kids; two boys and a little girl. They were Kai, Hari and Izuku. It was a picture taken on Izuku's seventh birthday. Izuku and Hari were both grinning widely, while Kai only tugged a small smile.
Little Hari was carrying Izuku in his arms. The little girl was smiling from ear-to-ear at him, while her small arms wrapped around his shoulders. Kai was standing next to them in a very well-mannered position.
Hari frowned upon seeing the picture. The event occuring earlier flashed before his dark eyes. The disappointment, the devastation, the tears, the anger...coming from Izuku. It pained his heart to see those negative expression coming from the girl he loved.
"You are all liars!"
Izuku's angry voice echoed in the arrow-headed man's mind. He clenched his jaw in frustration. "Hey, Kai.... You aren't going to talk to Izuku... About this matter?" He spoke up, halting his boss' work. The usage of his first name caught Kai's attention too. It was rare for Hari to call him that.... Except for some special occasions.
The brunette stared at his paperwork in heavy silence. He let out a sigh of defeat. "I will do that once I'm done with my work." He flatly responded, though deep inside he was frustrated. The yakuza leader was trying his hardest to hide his feelings and emotions from his subordinates.
Hearing his response, Hari removed his plague mask. "You can't procrastinate... It will only worsen the situation..." He aired out his worry, afraid Izuku was serious about haring them with all her heart. God, he couldn't imagine that happening. It was too painful for his heart to bear if the girl.... Who he had loved for eternity.... Hated him.
Kai started to unclip his plague mask too and placed it down on his table. He looked up to Hari with his lidded dark golden eyes. "I didn't hear anything from Rappa... So she is probably asleep. Rappa said it himself... It is a bad decision to visit her while she is still unconscious. If she sees us the moment she wakes up." Kai stated calmly.
"But..."
"End of discussion. I don't want to talk about this anymore." Kai began to grow more irritated at every second passed. Hari resulted to silence, not saying anything anymore. He looked away from his childhood friend, quietly leaving the office... To clear his mind.

Meanwhile,
Living area...
"....."
Everyone was dead silence. No one dared to talk after what had happened. The atmosphere was quite tensed, with everyone staying quiet, their minds kept thinking of Rappa's and Izuku's words.
Spoke of the devil, Rappa suddenly walked into the living area. Toya immediately stood up from the chair he was sitting on. "Rappa, how is—"
"It's useless. She didn't want to see you... Or anyone." The large man cut off his sentence almost quickly, shocking everyone. From the tone of his husky voice, Tengai could tell he was in bad mood. Well, he was the ex-fighter's babysitter after all.
Decided to approach him, the monk walked over to Rappa. He opened an eye, scanning his expression through the exposed portion of his mask. "... Something happen between you and Young Lady Izuku?" He asked with calm demeanor.
"Screw off, Tengai—"
"Now, that's rare of you to address me with my
name... So something did happen between you and Young Lady.."
Tengai's remark piqued everyone's interest. The rest of the Eight Bullets of Hassai Group and Mimic turned to look at them.
Rappa looked away, silently frustrated with himself. "Even if something did happen, it's futile to stop her." He blurted out, shocking the members. There was something that sounded wrong in his sentence.
"Rappa... What... What are you trying to say...?" Shin — out of shock and worry — accidentally activated his Confession. Rappa turned to look at the bawler hat-wearing man. His next sentence caused everyone to gasp in pure shock.
"Young Lady is running away with that girl Eri."

A few minutes earlier, Pops' room,
Izuku's POV
I studied Granpa's wrinkled face in sadness. A small painful smile graced my feature. I held his cold hand gently.
"Thank you for everything, Grandpa..." I murmured under my breath hesitantly. "You were such a kind person... You took good care of me... You educated me properly... You showered me with loves and affections... I can't thank you enough. I appreciate every single thing you have done for me."
Tears eventually flowed down from my green eyes. My bangs foreshadowed my eyes.
"I want to wait for you to wake up... But I can't.... Because... This is..."
"My last farewell..."
My voice became croaky at this point. I held his motionless hand tighter, tears wouldn't stop falling.
I let go of his hand and turned around. I walked over to the door, but glimpsed over my shoulder to look at Grandpa for the last time...
"Goodbye, Grandpa..."
With that, I ran off to somewhere else...
Eri's room.

Eri's room...
The door of Eri's room cricked open. Eri, who was sitijnh on the bed, covered her eyes when the light creeped up to her face.
"Izuku... Neechan...? What are you doing here...?" Eri asked, clearly confused with my sudden visit. I stepped into her room and rushed to her side. I hugged her tightly, feeling relieved to be able to see her again.
"Sorry... For leaving you alone, Eri..." I apologized. Eri hesitantly hugged me back. "N-Neechan... It wasn't your fault..." She said in guilt. How it broke my heart when she said in such nervous tone.
I broke apart from Eri but my hands still cupped her pale cheeks. I brushed off the crystal tears leaving her scarlet eyes.
"... Eri, do you want... To come with me...?"
I nervously asked her that question. Eri eagerly nodded her head. "I don't want to be separated from you again! Please... Let me come with you..." She sobbed in sadness.
I pulled her into a tight hug once again. I stroked her long silver hair, a sad smile plastered on my face.
"Then... Let's leave this place together..."

Back to the yakuza members...
Third Person's POV
"WHAT?!"
Toya yelled in disbelief when he heard the shocking truth. Rappa seemed pretty calm. He wasn't startled at all by his loud yelling.
"Why didn't you stop her, Rappa?!" The blonde male was obviously enraged. He stomped off toward his comrade and gripped the collar of his shirt.
"Because she asked me not to." Rappa frankly answered, which infuriated the younger male.
"You bastard...!!!"
Out of anger, Toya punched Rappa in the face. His punch didn't leave that much impact, but enough to irritate the other male.
Without holding back, Rappa raised his fist and punched Toya back in his stomach, sending the skinny man flying to the wall.
"What?! So you wanna fight now?! Fine then! I'm gonna kill you!!!!" Rappa punched his fists together, dark aura emitted from him. Looked like he was serious about killing Toya.
Toya got up, hissing in pain. He raised his head up, glaring dagger at Rappa. "Bring it on..." He husked out. At this rate, he didn't care what happened to himself. All he wanted was to beat the crap out of the idiot man, although he knew it was impossible.
Rappa was about to charge himself toward Toya when Tengai's barrier trapped him. The large man glared at the monk.
"Put down this barrier, Tengai! Let me kill him!!!"
"I won't allow that happen! This isn't time to fight! We need to inform Young Master about this now—"
"....you call me?"
Kai's voice spoke up, silencing the crowd. "Young Master... Chronostasis..." Shin muttered.
"What is the meaning of this? Why are you all arguing?" Hari questioned sternly.
Rappa, who was still trapped in Barrier, sarcastically replied,
"Young Lady didn't want to see you guys anymore so she freaking ran away with that brat."
Mortified, Kai and Hari gasped loudly. "Izuku run away.... With Eri....?!" Hari exclaimed, causing the others to hang their heads low.
Kai's hand was shaking violently. His yellow eyes widened in disbelief. "...Chrono, order all members to search the whole base... Now." Kai ordered with husk voice.
Hari stared at Kai before nodding his head. Obeying his absolute order, he left the living area.
"You guys... Search this underground facility. Bring Izuku and Eri back... No matter what."
The members nodded their heads. Tengai freed Rappa before exiting the living area along with his comrades. Rappa rolled his eyes and left the place too, leaving the leader alone.
"...I won't let you leave, Izuku...." Kai murmured to himself, his fingers messing with his brown lock.

Meanwhile,
Somewhere unknown...
Izuku was running at full speed while carrying Eri in her arms. The younger girl was burying her face in her shoulder, her arms locked around her neck neatly.
Izuku glanced over her shoulder, her irises fixed on the yakuza's residence; the place she used to call home.
Her lips quivered. She looked to her front back, gritting her teeth.
