☁ Chapter 18 ☁
Izuku's room,
Morning...
Third Person's POV
Izuku heaved a deep sigh of exhaustion, tired after running all the way back to her room. She sat down on a chair and looked up to the brown ceiling.
'I can't keep up like this. I need to do something to clear my mind. Oh yeah!' A great idea popped up in her mind. This made her smiled in happiness before she stood up at the speed of lightning.
"I want to see Grandpa!" Izuku announced cheerfully and ran out of her bedroom, heading toward her flower garden. She plucked some of the beautifully blooming flowers, and gathered them in one bouquet. Walking back to her room, she pulled out a ribbon from her drawer and tied the flowers together.
Izuku began to make her way toward her grandfather's room, a small smile plastered on her face. 'Chrysanthemum... It means "Get well". I usually deliver this flower to him, so he could get better faster.' She hugged the bouquet lovingly.
A few moments later, the young lady arrived at the room. Slowly, she slid open the door. There, she saw her grandfather laying motionlessly in his bed, with life supporter attaching to him. This sight always pang her heart with sadness, but she tried to bear the heavy feelings in her chest.... For Pops' sake.
"Good morning, Grandpa. It has been a while, right?" Izuku started talking to unconscious Pops. Despite acknowledging the fact he was unconscious, she still talked to him, confessing her problems that she couldn't share with anyone else; including Kai and Hari.
Izuku took out the withered chrysanthemum from the vase and replaced it with the freshly blooming ones. She sat on the brown chair facing the old man, studying his figure.
"There are a lot of things I wanted to tell you so I don't know where to start. But more importantly is.... I no longer feel lonely, Grandpa. I have bodyguards who stay by my side all the time. Not only that, they also treat me nicely and play with me. It was really fun! And then,Kai and Hari.... Those two have changed now. I was... I was glad!" Izuku intertwined her fingers, her eyes close as she recalled the moments she spent with the Right Bullets of Hassai group.
Suddenly, her expression changed when a rush of realization hit her. "You know what, Grandpa... Lately too, I have been experiencing a foreign feeling. I made research online and turned out, I-I was in love...with someone..." She hid her reddened face in her palms out of embarrassment.
"But, you don't have to worry about me. I will definitely solve this problem by myself, Grandpa..." Izuku placed her palm on Pops' cold hand, smiling softly at her guardian.
Out of the blue, Pops' index finger moved slightly. This caused Izuku's heart to jump in surprise. She backed down from the bed a little farther, staring at him in disbelief.
'Granpa...is reacting!' She thought, amazement evident in her irises.
"I need to tell Kai now-" Unfortunately, Izuku lost balance of herself without her realizing. Before she could comprehend the situation, her consciousness was consumed by darkness.
'...Huh...? Why everything... Seems dark...?'

Several hours later,
Nighttime,
Izuku's room...
Izuku's POV
So warm... Whose hand is this...? It is so warm...and comforting....
"...not fever or flu. Just like before, she passed out all of a sudden, without warning." Hari's voice spoke up,causing me to open my eyes. On my right side, sat Hari who wasn't wearing his mask. "Hari...?" I turned to my left side and saw Kai there. He still had his black surgery mask on his face.
"Kai...? Why are you two here...?" I asked sleepily as I sat up myself in my futon. I rubbed my eyes to adjust my blurry vision.
"Sabito was looking for you in your room, but you weren't here. So he figured you would be in Pops' room... But when he arrived there, you had passed out and were laying on the floor." Kai explained the situation. A rush of realization hit my mind.
Oh yeah. I suddenly blacked out when I was about to leave Grandpa's room.
"Izuku, are you feeling extremely fatigued right now?" Hari asked worriedly, his hand caressing my hair. I shook my head, denying his statement.
"I'm perfectly fine-"
All of a sudden, my body felt immensely hot, as if my blood was boiling within me. The veins felt like they would explode out of my body.
I groaned in pain upon feeling the burning sensation within my body. Kai and Hari were alerted by my drastic change. I started panting heavily, my hand gripped the collar of my shirt firmly, trying to bear the searing pain I felt.
"Izuku, what's wrong?" Hari held my shoulders from behind, preventing me from losing my composure. I opened my eyes in pain, weakly looking up to him.
"I-I don't know, Hari... Kai... My body...is...burning...!!!" I confessed before a pain-filled scream left my mouth. The burning sensation had become much worse.
Kai narrowed his eyes at me in frustration. He tucked off his latex glove, and reached out his hand to me. "Overhaul, are you sure about this-"
"It is better than letting her suffering like this." Kai said furiously, glaring dagger at Hari. He reached out his hand closer to my face.
Kai's Quirk, Overhaul... It lets him deconstruct or reconstruct object with his own will...
Why is he using it at me?
.... He can use his Quirk on people too...?
Fear rose in me when I saw his bare hand getting closer to my face. "This will hurt a little bit, Izuku, but I hope you can bear it.." Kai said calmly, but I wasn't convinced by his words.
The aura he was emitting was mysteriously dangerous and villainous. I started to feel scared of him.
Kai held my head gently, perhaps he didn't want to hurt me. Several seconds passed, but nothing happened. My body was still burning and the fear in me growed stronger.
Kai seemed quite surprised by something, since his eyes widened.
I was at my limit and couldn't bear his terrifying aura anymore.
"No! Stay away from me!" I pushed Kai away and turned around facing Hari. I hugged him tightly, not wanting to let him go. My whole being was shaking violently. Kai... Kai looked so terrifying...
I sensed Hari's hand gently caressed my long curly hair.
"....Excuse me. I need to use the restroom for a little bit." I heard Kai standing up again and the door was slid close. Feeling a little safer, I raised my head up, staring at Hari's face with my teary eyes.
Hari was also staring at me, questionably. "Why did you react like that, Izuku? Did you have nightmare again?" He asked with his gentle, soft voice. But I shook my head.
"No... It... It is something else... Kai... Kai... I-I was scared of him..." I stated, tears rolling down my face. Hari was shocked to hear my words
"Perhaps you are only tired-"
"No, I'm not! I sensed it! Kai's aura...had changed...." I sobbed, my eyes wide with terror.
Hari pulled me back into a hug in silence. He rubbed my back reassuringly while I cried in his arms.
