Chapter 37

A couple of minutes later,
Morning,
Eri's room...

Third Person's POV

Kai unlocked the door of Eri's room before he pushed open the door quietly. Eri was sitting on her bed, body trembling in fear. Izuku was heartbroken so see her little sister in such state.

"Chrono, take E—"

"ERI!"

"N-neechan..."

Without wasting any more moments, Izuku barged into the room by shoving Kai away. She immediately hugged the little girl tightly, not wanting to let her go.

Kai narrowed his eyes at the young woman in distaste. Izuku raised her head up, staring at Kai with a determined expression. "I will carry Eri." She said flatly.

"No, Chrono will be the one—"

But suddenly, Izuku tightened the hug. Kai noticed this drastic change and observed her attitude. Look like she was serious with her demand.

".... Fine. I will allow you to carry Eri. But Chrono will watch over you two.." Kai turned to his right hand-man. Hari nodded in understanding. The leader exited the kid's bedroom, letting Izuku and Eri to leave the prison-like room.
Izuku, gently holding Eri in her arms, silently walked out of her little sister's bedroom. She approached her childhood friend. Hari patted her back, rubbing circles to calm her down.

"...well then, let's go."

Following the announcement he made, Kai, Hari, Izuku along with Eri who was in her arms, started their next quest; running away from the heroes and hide themselves completely from the society.

At least that was Kai's plan.

'I can't implement the plan of betrayal, until the right time come.' Hari thought as he caressed Izuku's curly locks, telling her everything would be fine. She smiled a soft smile, feeling secured with him.

'Nemoto, I hope you don't forget about the plan...' Hari closed his eyes, his mind recalling every detail of the plan to betray his so-called boss.

Meanwhile,
On the heroes side...

Mirio's POV

"Mirio, stay safe!"

"Don't push yourself!"

I still could hear my friends' voices, ringing in my head praying for my safety when I made the decision to charge forward. At time like this, I couldn't afford to waste even a second.

Every second is important. If I'm even one second late, then it will be the end!

I had been slipping through the walls for quite a while, but I hadn't seen Chisaki and some of his top brass yet. I knew they weren't that far from me. I could feel... The presence of that intimidating yakuza leader.

But as soon as I thought that, I saw three figures in front of me. My eyes widened at this surprising view. Two men -- one wearing that familiar green coat and the other one dressed in a white raincoat -- and a young woman, carrying a young girl.

I have never seen that girl before...

Wait a second, long, curly dark green hair...

Izuku Midoriya!

The girl in that picture Nighteye showed to me! The grandchild of the first Hassaikai's leader.

Don't tell me... She is with Chisaki...?

If she does join his side, then why Eri-chan asked me to—

Damn it, Mirio! This isn't time to think about that! Focus on saving Eri-chan!

At last, I managed to reach them. Aware of my presence, the three people stopped on their track.

Chisaki and his underling turned to me, silently staring at my face. I was panting since I had been running to reach here.

"Excuse me... But can I ask you some questions?" I spoke up between my ragged breathing, breaking the heavy, dead silence among us.

"You shouldn't have been able to get here so fast..." Chisaki stated in slight turbulence, golden eyes never averted from me.

"I took a short cut... And I'm here to rescue that girl." I exclaimed strongly, determined to save Eri-chan.

That girl-- Izuku Midoriya-- I heard her let out a low gasp of shock. She hurriedly turned to look at me, and now I could fully see her face, in person.

Midoriya looked pretty shocked, but there was a mix of happiness in her expression. Her face looked like she was saying— no, more like, asking for help.

I don't think she is one of the yakuzas. So that means Chisaki had abused two girls.

This bastard...!!! He abused his boss' granddaughter!

He is really a devil with no heart!

"Mi... Million...?"

For the first time in my life, I heard Midoriya's voice, stuttering my hero name. I was a bit surprised that she knew my code name.

H-huh? But how? Have we met somewhere before?

Even if she recognizes me, it must be because of the sport festival. But knowing my hero name? That is a different story.

"This little monster here doesn't want you to rescue her, Mr.Student. so I guess iti s better if you just... Give up." Chisaki eventually spoke up after a long moment staying quiet.

"No, Eri had always wanted to be saved! Running away from you, the very man who ruin her childhood!"

All of a sudden, Midoriya shoved Chisaki away before she bolted toward my direction.

What the— she— she already planned to run away with Eri-chan from the beginning!

Chisaki furiously stood on his two feet again. He ripped off his glove, reaching his hand to the ground. Realizing this, I resorted to drastic action to save the two girls.

But then I noticed a bizzare occurance.

The raincoat-wearing man- who I assumed to be Kurono -- pointed his gun to his boss.

What is... The meaning of this?

Third Person's POV

KAI was about to create spikes to stop Izuku from running, when he realized a death glare directed to him. He lifted his head up, and he saw the unbelievable sight.

His right hand man, Hari, was pointing his gun at him.

"Chrono, what are you—"

Without letting the brunette finished his sentence, Hari fired a bullet with no hesitation. But unfortunately, Kai made it in time and constructed a mutiple layers of walls to stop the bullet.

Mirio had stopped on his track to analyze the situation much further. Izuku eventually reached the hero. She instinctively hugged the goldenette, body trembling from terror.

"Hey, it is okay now, Midoriya, Eri-chan. You are safe with me." Mirio assured, ruffling the young woman's hair. Izuku looked up to him, a small smile plastered on her face. Tears uncontrollably left her eyes.

"S-sorry, I can't control myself... I beg you, Lemiliion..."

Izuku's voice was shaky and croaky. This proved how much she had been holding back her tears and feelings. How hard she worked to defy Kai, the man whom she deep down feared the most.

"Please... Help me... Save Eri... Defeat Kai... Help Hari defeat him! Please!"

All of a sudden, massive numbers of large spikes charged toward Izuku, Eri and Mirio. Alerted by this, Mirio quickly hugged Izuku to avoid the attack with her.

However, before the spikes could strike them, the spikes shattered into small pieces. Kai gasped in astonishment upon witnessing this, even Mirio.

Izuku's body was shining with glimmering greenish light, including Eri and Mirio. Kai used the same attack, but everytime the spikes were coming closer to them, they shattered into million pieces.

Mirio was awed by this mysterious power protecting them. He darted his blue eyes to Izuku.

'So this is her Quirk...? Wait— in the personal information, it was written that she is Quirkless. then how...?' There were too many questions in his mind.

Eri looked up to her big sister. Izuku suddenly put her down, getting back on her feet. She turned to look at Kai, determination clouding her face. The tears had stopped flowing down from her eyes.

"I won't let you hurt Eri... And everyone else anymore!"
