New Start
Hey everyone! So my update schedule is this gets updated every weekend! I just wanted to let you know so you can look out for updates!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
*You*
The world seemed to stand still. Everyone and everything was so quiet as you stared up at the tall college building. This would be your home for the next year. You couldn't lie, it looked very intimidating. With one final sigh and a tight grip of your luggage, you walked in.
Memories clouded your vision; memories of when you first met him. You did your best to shake them away but certain attributes stuck around. His laugh, his smile, the way he always smelled somewhat like fast food. All of it.
Why won't my memories leave? Why can't I forget?... Please leave me alone.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the lady who was directing the women to their dorms. "Hello! I love you hair! What number?" She talked so fast, it was quite hard for you to understand her. Plus, she had so much energy. Her slightly yellow smile was wide, but she had the brightest eyes and they showed you welcome.
You nodded. "Thanks. Room 0237?"
"Oh yes! The '02' stands for floor! You're on floor two! Enjoy your day!" She called after you as she helped another person.
Normally, you would smile back, but not this time. You hadn't smiled. Hell, you probably forgot how. Ever since...
No.
You shook the thoughts out of your head again. You wouldn't get sad. You had to move on. You needed to move on.
But you didn't want to.
...
*Arthur*
Rooms. There were so many rooms, and he simply couldn't wait any longer. He needed to see him. Too many rooms. There were too many rooms. Arthur walked quickly. He would run but he knew better. It was a hospital. At this point, he didn't care if anyone saw him with tears in his eyes, or quickened breathing.
Then he stopped.
Everything was a blur; the nurse told him something, but he wasn't listening. He wanted to see him.
The door opened and there he was.
"Alfred." Arthur said breathily. He lost it. Tears streamed down his face and stained his vest but he didn't care. All he cared about was the goofy - eyed boy with the blonde hair and that damn cowlick he always tried so hard to keep down.
But he was different. His eyes were duller and there were dark bags under his eyes. He looked awful.
He looked dead.
Before today, he thought Alfred was dead.
He rushed to his side and wrapped his arms around him. "Alfred!" Arthur's sobbed.
Alfred raised a brow and awkwardly wrapped his arms around him. "Shh.." He didn't know what to say. What could he say?
"Y-you don't remember. I'm Arthur. Your big brother." He sniffled when he finally let go.
"Arthur." He said slowly, trying out the name on his tongue. "Hmm... Artie?"
Arthur nodded vigorously. "Yes! That's me!"
Alfred's face erupted into a wide smile. His blue eyes lit up though his glasses and he jumped up from the bed. "Oh! Artie! I remember you! How could I forget those eyebrows?!" He squeezed his brother and laughed.
Arthur couldn't help it. More tears fell.
"Don't cry! Look I'm fine see!" Alfred laughed as he helps his arms out.
Arthur hit him on the shoulder. "That's why I'm crying you bloody git! You were dead! I buried you!"
His smile fell and his eyes darkened. "I want to see it."
Arthur was concerned. "See what?"
"My grave. Take me there."
...
*You*
The room was open when you arrived. The old, worn in door was simply ugly in your eyes. It was a boring beige color and it looked like it had seen much better days.
Who knew what happened to the door.
There was music playing, there were no vocals and it was only the sound of bells and classical instruments. This music was alright, but it wasn't really your style. "Hellooo?" You called out, clutching the handles of your bags tightly.
"Hey~!! You must be _____!" A girl whipped around and smiled at you. The first thing you noticed was her eyes. They looked almost pink and she had the prettiest light blonde, pastel pink hair you had ever seen. "It's so nice to meet you! I'm Erzsebet!"
You nodded. "Hello. You already know my name so..." You trailed off sadly. Her happy go lucky attitude reminded you of him. But you would never say his name. "I guess you're my roommate?"
Her already large smile widened. "Yeah!" Erzsebet wiped her hands on the pink apron she was wearing. "Sorry. My hands are a little dusty!" She giggled and extended your hand out to you. "It's really nice to meetcha!"
Once again, you nodded. "Yeah. I love your hair it's beautiful."
"Thanks! I love pink it's such a pretty color!" Then she paused, "Heya, are you okay? You seem sad."
You shrugged. "I guess."
Her face distorted into shock and regret. "Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to--!! Oh dearie! I won't pry, we just met each other it's really none of my business."
"Don't worry about it. Thank you Erzsebet."
She grinned once more. "No worries. And you can call me Erza. I hope we can become great friends!"
"Me too."
You hummed to yourself as you placed all your stuff in the designated armoire. She gave you the top bunk because she said that she was afraid of heights and needed the bottom. You didn't really mind. Erzsebet was nice, but she reminded you of a Disney princess and that was a little annoying. She was always happy, and you liked that.
At least someone in the room you shared would be.
