"Whoa there! Chill dude!" Alfred unwittingly sat back down in his seat. He didn't want to risk anything, the person before him looked angry.

"Don't call me that. My name is Romano." He crossed his arms over his chest and sat down in the seat you once occupied not to long ago. "You're the biggest idiot on the planet, you know that?"

"Fratello I don't think _____ would want—" Feliciano started to say but his older brother sent him a look. He sat back down and kept quiet even though he didn't approve of what he was doing. Feliciano may not be the smartest, but he knew that if you hadn't told him already, then you probably didn't want Alfred to know. And he was exactly right.

Alfred raised a brow. "Did I miss something here?"

"Yeah! How about two years!" Romano sighed and ran a hand through his hair, trying his best to recover from his sudden out burst. "I know the coma wasn't your fault but I can't help but be angry. We were there for her when you weren't."

"H-how did you..??"

"We were your friends Alfred. Feliciano and I knew you from before the incident." He pursed his lips and looked him deep in the eyes. "Do you feel that? In your heart?"

Alfred shifted his gaze from Romano.

"You do, don't you?" Romano stared intensely at the other. "It's almost like there's something missing?"

He looked back at the Italian. Alfred didn't say a word but Romano knew he was right. He had hit the nail right on the head. "I know how you feel. _____ felt like that for weeks, hell, she still feels that way."

"But what do I have to do with any of this?" Alfred shifted positions on the chair uncomfortably. "I just met _____! I mean yeah, I noticed there was something wrong with her, and she's really sweet but..." He trailed off.

"But nothing." Romano shook his head slowly and took a sip from the glass of water that was on the table. "Tch.. Figure it out on your own, bastard."

Then he got up, pushed the chair in quietly, and walked back into the kitchen.

"Fratello! Wait!" Feliciano called back then he turned toward Alfred and smiled sadly. "I-I'm sorry I—"

Alfred shook the thoughts out of his head and smiled back. "It's okay. I was just leaving." With that, he got up from the table and left.

...

It was cold and you shivered. The sweater you were wearing wasn't nearly as warm as you had hoped and the wind seemed to be picking up. It sucked. Everything sucked and nothing seemed to be going right.

You walked alone, it was something you were very acquainted with. The silent atmosphere allowed you to be alone with your thoughts. You liked it, though sometimes being alone with the deep part of your subconscious was scary.

You knew it wasn't possible, but your heart ached. It was almost as if it actually hurt. The pain was there. You didn't know what was worse; never seeing Alfred and moving on, or seeing him every day while trying to push your feelings deep down. You couldn't decide.

I know what this is, I'm in love with... No. I can't be in love with him. I can never be in love with Alfred ever again...

But why does it feel so right when I'm beside him?

...

His words rang through his mind like church bells. Every second Alfred walked away he heard them.

"Figure it out on your own bastard."

Romano was so...angry, yet Alfred hadn't any ideas as to why. He opened up his phone and searched for anything that would give him any kind of answer. He was so clueless, that at this point he would literally take any clue. There was obviously something he wasn't realizing.

Alfred looked at all the apps: color switch, Facebook, Twitter, groupon, nothing seems like it would be any help. He hadn't used his Facebook or Twitter in years, Groupon was for food, and all the other apps were stupid games. His thumb lingered over the camera icon. Alfred thought for a moment before tapping it with his finger.

To say that the picture content was 'random' would be an enormous understatement. Most of them were interesting selfies and pictures of superheroes and food, but one stood out the most.

It was him, holding a doughnut and looking into the camera with a wide and smug grin. He didn't know why, but Alfred unwillingly smiled softly at the picture. Then he narrowed his eyes and zoomed in. Running towards the 'him' in the photo was a girl. Her long locks framed her face perfectly and her eyes showed playfulness. Alfred couldn't help looking into those bright eyes. Even though it was a picture they made him feel...strange.

Then he took a closer look and noticed her face was covered by his own hand in the picture. It was just another dead end. But it did remind him of one thing.

"That's right! I forgot about doughnut..." He mumbled to himself. "_____ was supposed to help me find her... We should probably start tomorrow." Alfred nodded, shutting off his phone.

He felt a little better, knowing that he would start looking for the girl of his dreams, but he couldn't help going back to his conversation earlier. Romano was right. There was that... Feeling. It was there, way down, and no matter what he did, no matter how happy he felt... He couldn't shake it.

...
