Confrontations
Matt glared at Alfred above your head and Alfred returned the favor. "What's your problem?"
"I could ask you the same thing." Alfred retorted, not missing a beat.
"Touché. But I still don't like you." The Canadian said through clenched teeth.
"I'm glad we're on the same page then." Alfred stared intensely into the other's eyes. "_____'s mine. I just found her and I'm never losing her again." He growled.
You huffed and crossed your arms. "I belong to no one. And that sweet Alfie, but we have to go. Lovi and Feli will be worried." You tugged on his sleeve.
Matt smirked then shrugged. "Call it a draw? I see you have to leave."
Alfred nodded. "I do. Let's go _____." He grabbed on to your hand and started walking the other way quickly, Ivan in tow. He didn't quite know what to do so he just followed, not wanting to get involved.
"Damn, you picked a hard girl to crush on Al." Matt remarked in a voice that showed nothing less than amusement. He watched as you walked away with Alfred.
"Shut up." Allen growled. "And stop looking at her ass."
...
"_____!" Both Italians happily exclaimed as they hugged you. "We missed you!" Feliciano said, kissing you on the cheek.
You blushed slightly. "It's only been a few hours max."
"Too long. Every moment without you Ragazza is a moment with no sun." Romano said dramatically with a hint of sarcasm, hand over his heart. You couldn't help but giggle. Then their eyes fell to Alfred and Romano scowled. "Ciao." He mumbled in an annoyed tone.
"Hi." Alfred awkwardly waved.
"Why are you here?" Feliciano quizzed curiously.
He sighed. "Well for starters I want to apologize for being an ass..."
"You were very ass-like earlier this week." Romano stated seriously earning another field from you. But Romano truly wasn't joking.
"And I want to know if we could be friends again? I'm still a little 'amnesia'd' but..." Alfred said sheepishly, looking away.
Romano just stared at him. "Sí, but we should talk first." Then he turned to you and Ivan. "Is it okay? Ciao Ivan."
You nodded. "Sure, just don't kill him."
"No promises.." Romano muttered as they both walked into the men's bathroom.
The restaurant was closed due to family reasons. Their grandfather had gone back to Italy for a week because of a surprise ailment. He told his grandsons that he would be back. He also said that they didn't have to keep the restaurant open and that it was up to them. Of course, the brothers knew that 'sudden ailment' meant 'something's come up with a past lover'. Their grandfather was quite the 'donnaiolo'. Or ladies' man.
"So.. What'd ya want to talk about dude? I mean–" Alfred started to say but was interrupted.
"Save it. I'm going to ask you a question and you must answer truthfully." Romano asserted. Alfred just nodded, wide eyes on the Italain. "Do you love her?"
Alfred was taken aback by the other's sudden question. "What do you–?"
"Do you love _____?" He snapped.
Alfred blushed and looked to the side. "Of course I do."
"Do you love _____ with all your heart!?" Romano repeated his initial question with more feeling. "Will you cherish her and be there whenever she needs you? Will you love her for who she is, and for all of he flaws and assets? Will you keep her warm in the winter and cool in the summer?" He breathed. "Will you put her first?"
"Yes. I will. I love _____ with everything I have. And I will love her forever." Alfred urged, seriously. "I wouldn't put anyone above her and I will cherish her forever!"
Romano looked at the floor. "Damn right because know this, the minute you hurt her, I will not hesitate to kick your ass." He threatened, holding open the bathroom door. "And that's a fucking promise."
Romano left he bathroom and sat down with you and the others. "Where's Alfie?" You asked.
"Right here." He smiled widely and sat down beside you. Feliciano handed him the large plate of pasta and he put some on his plate.
"What did you guys talk about?" Ivan questioned as he twirled some pasta on his fork.
Alfred shrugged. "Nothing important. College stuff... The usual."
"Really? Huh..." Ivan mused, putting large bite of chicken parmigiana into his mouth with a chomp.
The rest of the meal went well; you all talked about your lives and stupid stuff like new episodes of Supernatural and news articles. It was relaxing to be with your friends and just have a nice meal together. They were so close to being family and you honestly felt that way about them. They were your family. Occasionally, Alfred would mention the latest superhero movies and it even went as far as a lowkey argument as to who is the best suicided squad member. Of course, you loved (character) and would defend her/him to the end. Alfred was a big fan of The Joker despite being a villain and Romano loved El Diablo. Ivan enjoyed Killer Croc and Feliciano surprisingly liked Deadshot. It was an interesting night.
But outside the restaurant someone lurked. Horrible things running though their head. "I'll pay you 25 bucks. Deal?"
"I dunno... Is it worth it?"
The other smirked. "Oh yes. It's going to be so worth it. More than you'll ever know."
Things were about to change. And they were going to change real fast.
