After the bell rang, we went to a room in which we were given information about the game. You could call it a class room, it had lots of tables and seats, a board, and a projector. The only different thing is that we didn't learn things like math or science; we studied weapons, weapons we did know and that we knew. The only thing that is the closest to a normal school subject is that, we learned about persuasion and how we can persuade our group members that we were their group leader.

Carla and I sat together in one of the tables. Evan sat in the same table, it seemed to bother Carla but she stayed quiet and calmed.

After we have all seated down and we were all there. The instructor put us into groups; Then he said.

"Think of this group as your own group, you will not harm your group or take decisions that may cause your group to be in danger. However you are not the leader of the other groups. You will have to kill the other groups if you feel threatened."

Carla seemed very very very upset. As for me I was in shock, not because of what they had just told me but because of the fact that some people we're agreeing to this.

"This is outrageous" I heard some some one say. As I turned to see who it was. I turn to see a blond guy. His name I remember was Martin. He was from Chile I thought 'he is feisty alright.' I thought.

Everyone was amazed that someone actually stood up for all of us. I heard someone else say." If we don't do it we won't be able to go back home!!"

When he said that Carla, Evan and I and all of the leaders started to tear even Martin did. After he said that the instructor said "Even if you win you will not be going back home". We were all outraged about this I decided to ask " What do you mean?". He explained that the way they took us from our eras was not easy.

"The way they take you folks out of your era is very different than you think". He said, we all looked puzzled.

He decided to explain it to us.

"What we do when we take you from your era is that we go back in time to the last year you remember. When we find you we freeze you and then bring you to the future, but the portal only opens once every 3 months which makes us having to make preparations even before the game prior to the game the participants will be doing that year meaning while we are training you we already have people being taken from the past. because it takes a lot of time we also have to implant some things into your body. so it takes too long." we were all confused after his explanation.

He saw the confusion in our faces and then he said "What I'm trying to say is that even if you win you cannot go back"

Carla started to cry and I tried my best not to cry to comfort her but you could see a little bit of water in my eyes. Everyone started to ask questions. Some where weird and obviously didn't have answers. Questions like what about my family? and Will I ever see my family again?

My heart broke into a million pieces. I was so sad, But not as much as a girl who I recognize as Angelica Sanders a 13 year old girl who was made a leader. She cried tears of blood; and that was the one thing that I just couldn't handle. That was it and I cracked I started to cry.

Then after 20-30 minutes after the instructor said to take our sits and we had to start our lesson we had already taken too much time and this lesson was very important.

when we started our lesson the first thing up was how to paralyze someone without hurting them. Then that was followed by how to save your group members from drowning etc.

The last thing that they taught it was one of the hardest to swallow. It was how to kill different monster and humans. The one thing that I was amazed was the fact that we had to kill MONSTERS?!

Then the instructor gave the announcement that the last training session was over and then wished us luck and left. it was 7:30 PM by that time. We were told to go back to our dwellings and rest because the games would start the next day.
