Jessica's P.O.V

Kiki starts telling the officer about what happened while I pick my phone up and call Mom. I tell her to lay off hospital work early and come to the police station immediately, and NOT to go home. Kiki finishes and calls her parents and tells her mom to lay off shifts too (she works at the same hospital).

When they arrive, I explain everything to them. The parents display a show of anger as well as concern and fear. Kiki's dad is debating on which belt he should use on CJ, while my mom is asking everyone if they're ok. Kiki's mom is a mix of both emotions, as well as the sadness of seeing her son become a criminal.

Martha brings in a policeman, and they ask for names. 'Jessica Miller' I say. 'Kwanisha Ronald' Kiki follows. The parents say their names. Then, the policeman asks if we know who the 'criminal' is. 'It's my brother, CJ Ronald.' Kiki replies. The policeman raises an eyebrow, and Martha mouths 'oof', but they say nothing more. They start writing furiously on their notebooks, which I didn't even realise they had, then they start asking our parents a few questions.

Then, my mom asks me a question. 'I know he was chasing you, but do you know where he is now?'. Right. He couldn't have gone back to his home because Mr. Ronald would've seen him while departing for our police emergency. He obviously hadn't gone to my house because, well, why would he? The only possible answer here is...

'Sir, you are under arrest for attempted murder' comes a voice from the doors. I turned to look at the door to see a defeated CJ, with his hands behind his back, hair in his face and with another police officer. Both Jake and Greg were behind them, beaming at their catch. "Guys!" I yell happily. Kwanisha explains that they were on the watch in case something happened. I sigh in relief as CJ was led into another room.
