Chapter 1
DAY ONE
'Jessy!' Kwanisha shouted, to her best friend. They were best friends since the first day of middle school and basically joined by the hip. Jessy was invited to Kwanisha's house for fun, as they both finally got a break from CBA's. Jessica walked in, amazed by the African decor and pretty pictures up on the walls. "Your house is very nice Kiki!' she commented. 'Thanks!' Kwanisha replied. She introduced Jessy to her mom and dad, then she decided to introduce her brother too.
Kwanisha's P.O.V
I'm glad Jessy likes my house. I bring Jessy upstairs and I knock on CJ's door. He's obviously bingeing Netflix or texting his girlfriend, because he isn't opening the door. I always wondered why he didn't play video games like everyone else in his age group. 'Jessy, I'm sorry for what you're about to see next' I apologise in advance, before straight up kicking the door open. CJ looks shocked before taking his headphones off quickly and closing a tab on his computer. That's really suspicious. But honestly, I'm not surprised, because he's that weird, creepy type of 18-year-old. You know, the ones who always have something to do with anime girls as their computer wallpaper 'How many times have I told you NOT to bash in like that Kwanisha!' he exclaims.
'Whatever' I say, annoyed. 'Anyway, meet my best friend Jessy!'. 'That girl you're always talking about?' he says, turning his head up reluctantly. But when Jessy walks in through the door, his expression changes. He looks at her with widened eyes, and he was... kinda red? 'Heyy, CJ' Jessy starts, while CJ sits there, frozen. 'It's nice to meet you! Don't hear about you much' she smirks. I would've elbowed her in the ribs but I didn't. Something seemed different about CJ. He normally would've called her a dork or something but, no? 'H-hi!' he stammered. Now this was not normal. 'Uhh, Jessy? Let's go downstairs, k?' I quickly say. 'Uhm, sure, ok?' she says, obviously confused.
We both played monopoly together and had the sausage rolls that my mom made for us. Eventually it was time for Jessy to go, and as I waved goodbye, I wondered about CJ.
Shortly after we had dinner and I kept eyeing him. I mean, he was acting normal now, but what the hell happened back there? I don't know if he was still dazed by me, crashing that door open, and almost catching him watching, um, whatever he was watching (I don't even wanna THINK about it), but honestly, I wasn't in the mood to look into it further.
