But those are, and have always been, 'what if's. They're thought about, then banished into the back of your mind for eternity, like a discarded piece of trash-- sentenced to a horrible end of being crushed and incinerated. Forgotten.

But when the impossible does happen, they are simply un-prepared. They open their arms to new possibilities, new technology, but simply refuse to accept what could happen. What did happen.
