The number one hero, All Might. Age unknown, Quirk unidentified. He dashed onto the scene of the hero world and received unwavering popularity based on his ability. Ever since he appeared, the once critically high rate of crimes committed by villains decreased year after year, and his existence itself became a deterrent. He became the Symbol of Peace in both name and reality. And that man said to me--

All Might: You can become a hero.

I needed someone to tell me that. And then, the person I admire most in this world did. Honestly, part of me thought I'd never hear those words, much less from him.

All Might: I deem you worthy of my power. My quirk is yours to inherit.

Izuku: Huh?

(Y/N) pov:

Izuku: Inherit your power?

All Might: *Chuckle* What's with that face? It's just a suggestion. The real show starts after this.

While they were talking I unwrapped my tail from around Izuku, and used my hand to gently wipe away his tears and snot.

All Might: Listen, young man. You need to decide whether or not to accept my power!

Some blood came out his mouth when he yelled that. I used my tail to wipe the blood away from his mouth so he can speak.

All Might: Thank you (Y/N), here you can have this.

He pulled out a snack from his back pocket and tossed it to me, which I swiftly caught and ate.

All Might: Nice catch! Anyway I'm talking about my power, young man. The tabloids called it "superhuman strength" and a "boost," and I constantly dodged the question during interviews with a funny joke. Because the Symbol of Peace, All Might, had to be a natural-born hero. But young man, I will tell you the truth.

He then raised his hands in the air for dramatic effect.

All Might: My quirk was passed on to me like a sacred torch.

A sacred torch? If I'm not mistaken a fire can be extinguished.

Izuku: It was passed on to...?

All Might: That's right. And next, it is your turn.

Izuku: W-Wait! Wait a minute! It's true that your Quirk is something hotly debated as one of the world's greatest mysteries. So much so that not a day goes by when I don't see someone talking about it online. But, well, I don't really understand what you mean by inheriting or passing on a Qui-

I recognized this as the start of when he mumbles to himself so I softly poked him with my tail. The small amount of pain wasn't enough to make him bleed just enough to get him to stop.

Izuku: *gasp* Oh, thanks (Y/N).

I purred as he rubbed my head.

All Might: You always start with denial, huh? Nonsense!

Izuku: Wh...?!

All Might: I may hide a lot of things, but I don't lie! The power to transfer power... That is the Quirk I inherited! I was crowned with "One For All"!

Liar! You're not royalty, I don't see any crown!

Izuku: "One For All"...

All Might: That's right. One person cultivates the power and passes it on to another person, who also cultivates it and passes it on. It is the crystallization of power that spins together the voices of those who need help with a courageous heart.

But if the current holder of this power dies before they pass it on. What happens to the power?

Izuku: Why are you... Why are you giving me something so great?

Don't question it my king, this is probably the only chance you'll get to have overwhelming power.

All Might: I have been looking for a successor. And then, I thought it would be all right for you to inherit it. You are just a Quirkless hero fanboy with a strange pet, but you were more heroic than anyone else back there!

Izuku began to tear up again so I hugged his waist and purred to try to comfort him.

All Might: Never mind! Well, it's up to you, though. What'll you do?

Izuku clenched his fists before he rubbed the tears out his eyes. He tapped my arm signaling me to let go, so I did as we stood up. When I looked into his eyes I saw hope but also great determination.

Izuku: I'll do it!

All Might: An immediate reply. That's what I thought you'd say!

If he's going to receive this great power how is he going to control it?

We were both walking home and somehow the sun was already going down. Izuku wanted to walk as he was full of energy so I walked behind him.

Izuku: Can you believe it (Y/N)?! I'm going to finally become a hero!

I excitedly hissed and nudged his arm with my head. He rubbed my head as I followed him to the entrance of an alleyway. Normally we don't go through alleyways but Izuku was feeling very confident.

Izuku: C'mon (Y/N), this way will be quicker.

I hissed in acknowledgement as I followed beside him.

I wonder what my king will become when he gains this power? If it is like that human said, he could become very powerful if not unstoppable.

???: Alright, drop whatever valuable stuff you got kid.

I was pulled from my thoughts by someone speaking. I looked up to see a human with a gun in his right hand. My king seemed to lose all his confidence as he grabbed my arm for I guess comfort. He seemed to be annoyed at our lack of response as he aimed his weapon at Izuku.

???: You need me to say it again?! Drop everything you got! Don't make this harder than it has to be!

Izuku began to take off his backpack, but before he could give it to the human I used my tail to push it back into his hands. He looked at me with confusion and concern as I got in front of him.

Izuku: (Y/N) w-what are you doing?!

I only let out a low growl to the human as it slightly backed up before raising it's weapon once more.

???: So it's name is (Y/N) huh? Well kid watch (Y/N) die before your pathetic eyes.

Izuku: No!

*Bang*

The shot rang out as Izuku tried to pull me away from the human. But he stopped when he noticed I was okay.

???: W-What the hell?!

The idiot began to shoot me repeatedly but the bullets couldn't penetrate my armored skin. I gently pushed Izuku back as I pounced on the poor excuse of a human.

???: Get it off! Call of your damn pet brat!

But he didn't, Izuku didn't say anything as jammed my left hand blade deep into it's left shoulder. It screamed as it tried to punch me off but I remained unfazed.

You may be a poor excuse of a human. But I admire your desperation to cling onto your pathetic life knowing you'll die regardless. I'll make your death quick but slightly painful.

I stabbed my other bladed hand into his right shoulder to hold him down. He began to squirm and it disgusted me tremendously. I opened my mouth revealing my several sharp teeth and my tounge.

???: No, please let me go! I'm sorry! Kid get your damn devil off me and I'll give you my loot! It's in the trash can to my left just get this thing off!

That was this miserable creature's final mistake. It spoke to my king, it sullied my king's ears with it's disgusting pleads of mercy.

I launched my tongue into it's head killing it while taking a piece of it's brain into my mouth. Something strange happened when I swallow it. I felt as if my brain grew as several memories flashed before my eyes.

Izuku: (Y-Y/N)?

I turned back to my king as I removed my blade hands from the corpse. I hugged him as I purred vibrating his entire body.

(Y/N): I'm glad your safe Izuku!

Izuku: W-What is that you speaking
(Y/N)?!

(Y/N): Y-You, you can here me?!

Izuku: Yeah I can! But how your mouth isn't moving?!

Did eating the piece of that human enhance my mind? Normally I'm only able to telepathically communicate with my family not other creatures. It seems my body used the DNA from the brain to enhance my brain. Not only am I able to "speak" to Izuku now but I also have that human's memories and knowledge.

(Y/N): I don't know how, but I'm glad I can speak to you now!

Izuku: Yeah me too, b-but let's go home now.

He kept glancing at the body while he was speaking to me.

I guess he'll never get used to the dead bodies of his enemies. Might as well get rid of the evidence before someone sees.

I spewed acid all over the carcass as I watched it all melt away. Izuku turned away to not witness the skin and bones of the body melt away. While the body was being dissolved I went over to the trash can he hid his "loot" in. I pushed the lid off to reveal a bag filled with a lot of things humans consider valuable. I was about to take it when Izuku stopped me.

Izuku: (Y/N) you can't take that it's not ours. Let's just give an anonymous tip to the police from a pay phone.

(Y/N): It's not like I would use it I have no need for it. Let's get you home Izuku, we'll make the call on the way.

I wrapped my tail around Izuku's waist and placed him on my back as I began to walk us home. He wrapped his arms around me as he fell asleep.

This was an eventful day for you, Izuku. Not only did you fight a villain you also, met your idol, you're going to get a Quirk, your life was threatened, and now your pet can speak in your mind. Your life will only get more interesting from here, my king.

3rd pov:

2 days passed and (Y/N), Izuku, and All Might, were at Dagoba Municipal Beach Park. It was covered in so much discarded trash that you couldn't see the water or the sun. This will be where Izuku trains to become the hero he's always wanted to be. Currently he was attempting to pull a refrigerator while (Y/N) and All Might sat on top. (Y/N) was sitting next to All Might while telepathically telling Izuku encouraging words.

(Y/N) pov:

(Y/N): Great job, Izuku! I think you moved it a centimeter! You're going to be stronger than All Might!

All Might: Hey, hey, hey! This is such a comfy fridge to sit on!

Izuku lost his balance and was about to face plant into the sand if it wasn't for my tail wrapping around his waist. I let him go as he fell on his knees instead.

All Might: If you could move it even a little, it would be a little easier.

Izuku: Well yeah, I mean you weigh 274 kilograms right? And (Y/N) grew yesterday so he's about 181 kilograms now.

All Might: No, I lost weight, so I'm only 255 kilograms now, in this form.

Izuku: Anyway, why am I dragging trash at the beach park?

He just laughed as he pulled out his phone.

All Might: It's 'cause, you know, you're not a proper vessel.

He took photos of Izuku before he put his arm around me and took a picture of us. He showed me the picture and we looked great.

Izuku: What your saying now is the opposite of what you said before!

While Izuku was screaming All Might hopped off the fridge before walking over to him, still taking pictures.

All Might: I'm talking about your body. My Quirk, One For All, is the fullest physical ability of many people gathered into one. An unprepared body cannot inherit it fully. The limbs will come off and the body will explode.

Izuku: The limbs will what?!

(Y/N): You'll be fine, Izuku. Look on the bright side if you explode that will be an interesting way to die.

Izuku: That just makes me feel worse!

All Might: Who are you talking to?

Izuku: Oh, (Y/N) is able to speak to me telepathically now.

All Might turned to me before giving me a thumbs up.

All Might: You get more awesome each time I meet you! Young man, what is your pet's species?

Izuku: I don't know, I'm still trying to figure that out myself. Anyways I'm picking up trash to train my body...?

All Might: Yes! But that's not all.

He began to walk back over to the fridge as I looked around.

All Might: After some research on the internet yesterday, I discovered part of this beach park's coast has been like this for years.

Izuku: Yeah... For some reason, because of the currents, objects drift here a lot, and people take advantage of that to hide their illegal dumping... The local residents don't come near here, either.

I could probably clear all these objects in a few minutes with my acid.

All Might: Heroes these days are all after the showy stuff.

He began to crush the refrigerator as he spoke to Izuku.

All Might: Originally, being a hero meant doing volunteer service. Even if people called that boring or whatever. You can't waver from those roots.

The fridge began to break under his strength until it flattened. His strength even cleared the trash behind him allowing the sun and water to be seen.

All Might: You will restore the horizon to this whole section. That is your first step toward becoming a hero!

Izuku looked shocked by what he said as he turned back to the huge piles of trash behind him.

You have a tremendous task before you my king, but I'll help you!

All Might: Young Midoriya, you want to go to U.A., right?

Izuku: Yes... Yes! Because it's where you went! So if I'm going to go... I thought... it would definitely have to be U.A.....

All Might: You're a go-getter fanboy! But I've told you this before. It's not something you can do without a Quirk. It's sad, but that is what the reality is. And U.A.'s is the hardest hero course to get into. In other words...

Izuku: In the ten months until U.A.'s entrance exam, I have to complete my vessel!

All Might: That's where this comes in! I came up with this: "Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan"! It's a training plan to help you finish cleaning up the beach. I'll have you follow this in every aspect of your life.

He handed it over to Izuku as I looked over his shoulder to see.

Izuku: Even sleep time is included...

All Might: Frankly, this is a super hard schedule. Can you follow it?

He looked at the paper with fierce determination as he gave his answer.

Izuku: Of course... I have to work many times harder than anyone else, or else I can't do it!

All Might: That's the spirit, and before I forget (Y/N) can't help you.

(Y/N): WHAT?!

All Might held his head in pain as he frantically looked around.

All Might: What was that?!

Izuku: Are you feeling alright? I didn't hear anything.

(Y/N): Hey! It was me, the 7 foot tall creature standing right next to you!

All Might looked at me in shock not expecting me to speak with him.

All Might: I thought you could only speak with young Midoriya?

(Y/N): As did I but I guess not. Anyways, what do you mean I can't assist him with this challenge?

All Might: He needs to this on his own, he can't become a proper vessel for this power if you help.

I guess I can't assist my king on this. I'll just have to support him in a different way!

Izuku: It's alright (Y/N), why don't you hangout with All Might while I train?

(Y/N): As you wish, I'll cheer you on!

I walked over to a pile of trash before I began to make random things out of it.

Izuku pov:

I watched as (Y/N) walked over to a pile of trash and begin to play with the trash. It brought a small smile to my face seeing him play.

Izuku: All Might I have a favor to ask of you.

All Might: Hm? What is the favor?

Izuku: Can (Y/N) come with me to U.A.?

All Might: But why? I don't even know if pets aren't allowed in the school.

Izuku: Well he likes to watch over me everywhere I go. He even stayed on a nearby tree outside my classroom window to make sure I was alright.

He put a thinking face on as he contemplated on what I just said.

Izuku: If he's not near me he'll break into the school doing a lot of property damage trying to find me.

All Might: I guess he can come with you, I'll get confirmation on this possibly tomorrow. If he's allowed to just make sure he's well trained and on a leash.

I was ecstatic (Y/N) will get to come with me!

Izuku: Thank you, All Might!

All Might: Yes, yes, now begin your training!

And so began my ten months of hell.

(Y/N) pov:

All Might: Carry that to the park entrance! Put in the truck!

I watched as Izuku moved various objects to a nearby truck. He picked up a tire as he began to run back to the truck.

All Might: Run! Run! Ten months will be over before you know it!

He fell so I went over to check on him, he gave me a smile before he got back up and continued to run.

All Might: Let's become athletic!

I was hanging on the ceiling in Izuku's class undetected as I began to learn what the teacher was saying. It seems ever since I ate that piece of human brain I'm able to learn and retain knowledge better now.

Teacher: Let's see... With the appearance of superpowers, the Building Standard Act was revised-

Nevermind this is boring, I now see why Izuku isn't paying attention. He seems to be doing alright physically so far, but he seems to be getting mentally fatigued.

Izuku: ...about 98 days of real training even if I'm efficient... I still have to train (Y/N) to behave in public if I want him with me... I can get in about five hours of training morning and night, so that's 490 hours...

He began to mutter and everyone turned to him as the teacher began to extend his hand. I hissed and growled louder and louder as his hand got closer to Izuku. My growling seemed to have induced fear in the other humans as they frantically tried to signal their teacher to stop. He just looked at them confused as he was about to hit Izuku.

Teacher: Midori-

Before he could hit my king I jabbed my tail through his hand spraying blood on the ground. His pained screaming brought Izuku out of his muttering state. I yanked my tail sending the teacher over his desk and on the ground as I dropped down. Everyone looked on in fear, even the explosion human, as I opened my mouth above the teacher's head.

Izuku: (Y/N) no!

I stopped and looked up at Izuku closing my mouth.

Izuku: It's fine, I'm ok come here.

Before I released the human I mentally spoke with him.

(Y/N): My king has enough to deal with and he doesn't need a worm like you adding to it, understand?

I saw the human nod as I released my tail from his hand as I sat next to Izuku. The teacher held his hand as he left the room and as he left i heard Izuku mutter to himself.

Izuku: I've got to train him not to do that. Maybe a word that tells him when it's ok to attack.

(Y/N): That will work.

Izuku: Alright how about... I'll think of something later.

The teacher came back with a bandage on his hand and fear on his face. He continued to teach the class as Izuku rubbed my head while taking notes.

Izuku was running as I jogged next to him while All Might was riding a scooter. Izuku was carrying a something heavy and looked just about ready to drop. And I was right as i caught him and the object before either fell.

All Might: Hey, hey, what's wrong? There are only three months left! You won't make it! Wanna give up? Wanna take it easy and rest today?

Izuku began to try and crawl out of my grip but he was to weak.

All Might: The "Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan" was adjusted with your body in mind to make sure you'd make it in time for the entrance exam... You haven't been sticking to the plan, have you? Overdoing it will have the opposite effect! Don't you want to get in?

Izuku: I do... But I can't just get in... I have to work a lot more than other people... or I won't be able to catch up...

He began to slowly lift himself out of my grip holding onto my shoulder.

Izuku: I want to be like you. I want to become the greatest hero, like you!

All Might transformed into his buff form as he lifted Izuku up by his shirt. I slightly hissed but stopped when Izuku muttered no to me.

All Might: You go-getter fanboy! I like that! But if that's the case, then you really can't rush things now. But I understand your feelings. Leave it to this old guy to adjust your plan!

Izuku: Your not old... All Might...

All Might's laugh rang out as I tried to mimic a human laugh.

Febuary 26 6 a.m. was when my king accomplished his first great achievement of many more to come. All Might arrived the moment I finished helping Izuku up to the top of the pile of trash he moved. He screamed in victory as I screamed along with him in celebration. He began to tip as I caught him before jumping down next to All Might.

All Might: Good work.

Izuku: All Might... I did it... I did it!

All Might: Yeah, you surprised me, you entertainer! Teenagers are amazing! Here take a look...

He took out his phone and showed Izuku a picture as I put him down.

Izuku: Yeah, you and (Y/N) look great.

All Might: What? Oh, sorry wrong one, ah, here it is.

Izuku: This is...

All Might: It's you, ten months ago. You did good. You really did. The mirage of it is finally just barely visible, but you have certainly become a suitable vessel.

Izuku: I feel like I'm cheating... You did all this for me... I'm too blessed...

No, to me you're not blessed enough.

All Might: We'll have to fix those leaky eyes of yours. Now it's time for the award ceremony, Izuku Midoriya!

Izuku: Yes, sir!

He pulled a strand of his hair off and took out a snack bar before tossing it to me and speaking.

All Might: This is something I was once told: "Something that you receive because you're lucky and something that you are given because you are recognized are different in essence." Take that to heart. This is power you earned because of your own effort.

Izuku looked at him with a tear in his eyes but with determination while I ate half the snack. This was his great moment, the moment he gains great power.

All Might: Eat this.

Izuku: Huh?

All Might: It doesn't really matter what it is as long as you take in my DNA.

Izuku: It's too different from what I imagined!

All Might: Now, there's no time! You'll be late for your exam! Come, come, come!

Before he could force feed Izuku I hissed to get their attention.

All Might: Hm, what is it (Y/N)?

I tossed him my half eaten snack, as he looked at me confused.

(Y/N): Stuff the hair in that so he can eat it without spewing his acid.

He understood as he placed the hair on the snack before forcing it down Izuku's throat. As he was eating the food All Might pulled out a letter and leash before handing it to Izuku.

All Might: Hurry and eat the snack or you'll be late. Also here take this letter and leash, if any teacher stops you to question why (Y/N) is with you just show them this.

He nodded before swallowing the snack and hair gagging slightly.

Izuku: Alright, (Y/N) let's go!

I hissed and wrapped my tail around him before running towards U.A.

We were outside the entrance to U.A. as Izuku held the leash attached to my collar.

Izuku: We made it.

We began to walk in with some humans looking at me weirdly.

I wonder how Izuku will do in this exam, at least I'm allowed with him.

Katsuki: Outta my way, Deku!

Izuku: Kacchan!

Katsuki: Don't stand in front of me. I'll kill you.

Izuku: M-Morn-

Izuku tried to apologize but I interrupted him. The second he finished saying "kill you" I immediately stood up and screamed in his face. He backed up and a small amount of fear was in his eyes as he looked up at me. I pointed my tail and raised one of my bladed hands at him.

Izuku: (Y/N) no!

I lowered my tail and hand as I sat down next to Izuku still looking at "Kacchan".

Izuku: I'm sorry, Kacchan. I trained him a little over the months so he shouldn't attack you without my say.

Katsuki: Whatever, your sorry is nothing to me, Deku.

With that he walked past us toward the building as I kept watching him. Izuku let out a sigh of relief before speaking with me.

Izuku: (Y/N) please don't pick a fight with Kacchan.

(Y/N): I wasn't picking a fight he threatened your life, I was protecting you.

Izuku: Well it's not like he'll actually try to kill me, I hope. Anyway let's go-

As he took a few steps forward he tripped so I quickly wrapped my tail around him. But it seems he wouldn't have hit the ground as another human touched him causing him to float.

???: Are you alright?

She touched him again and he stopped floating as I unwrapped my tail from his waist.

???: I know your pet would've caught you but I just wanted to make sure. Also sorry for using my quirk on you without asking first. But it'd be bad luck if you fell, right?

For some reason my king wasn't answering, instead just staring at her.

???: Aren't you nervous?

Izuku: Uh...

???: Let's do our best. I really like your pet, here they can have this! See ya!

She tossed me a cookie which I swiftly caught and ate as she left. My king looked into space with a blush on his face and sparkles in his eyes.

I have no idea what you did my king but I'm glad you did whatever it is you did.

Other humans began to stop and stare at Izuku so to make them leave I spewed acid near them. It worked perfectly as they all began to run toward the building, as I carried Izuku in as he was still dreaming.

I sat in the seat while Izuku sat in my lap while the hero loud human began to scream. I know his name as Izuku wrote about him and listened to him on a radio.

Present Mic: For all you examinee listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today! Everybody say "hey"!

I didn't want this human to feel bad and because Izuku likes him I responded.

(Y/N): *Hiss!*

Present Mic: I like that enthusiasm, strange creature! I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! Are you ready? Yeah!

(Y/N): *Loud hiss*

Izuku: It's the Voice Hero, Present Mic!Wow...! I listen to him every week on the radio. I'm so moved! --All the teachers at U.A. are pro heroes!

Katsuki: --Shut up.

I hissed at him before paying attention to Izuku and Present Mic.

Present Mic: As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this!

The screen behind him began to move and show colorful pictures.

Present Mic: You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?

(Y/N): *Hiss*

Present Mic: Thank you for answering me, strange creature! As a reward you can have this, a t-shirt signed by me!

He tossed it up to me as I caught it with my tail. Luckily my tail didn't pierce the fabric as I handed it over to Izuku. He began to fanboy over it until he was calm enough to take it.

Izuku: Wow thanks (Y/N)!

Katsuki: They won't let you work with your friends, huh?

Izuku: Y-Your right. Even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we're assigned to different battle centers.

Katsuki: Don't look. I'll k-

He cut himself off as he saw my tail above him but where Izuku can't see.

Katsuki: Damn, now I can't crush you.

Better. I lowered my tail back down before Present Mic began to speak.

Present Mic: Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty. Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!

Well there goes that plan to kill the competition for Izuku.

???: May I ask a question?

Present Mic: Okay!

???: On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes. In addition, you over there with the curly hair--

Izuku stiffened and pointed to himself as I let out a low growl. I hugged Izuku close to me in an attempt to calm myself.

???: You've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately! And why did you bring your pet in here, I hope you clean up after it.

That is enough! This human has embarrassed and yelled at my king. I should cut out his tounge for saying Izuku should pick up after me.

Izuku: I'm s-

I cut off Izuku by spewing a small amount of acid at the human's seat. This startled him as he looked at me with slight fear. I telepathically spoke to the human to make sure this doesn't happen again.

(Y/N): Listen here worm, I will not sit idly by while you insult my king. He's travelled down a much harder path to get here than you. I will let this slide but next time my acid will not miss. Do you understand human? If so sit back down before I cut your tounge out.

The human obeyed and reluctantly sat back down on his now melted seat.

Present Mic: Okay, okay, Examinee Number 7111. The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. That guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center-- An obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it, either. I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it.

???: Thank you very much! Please excuse the interruption!

The a group of nearby humans began to talk about that robot before Present Mic spoke again.
