Chapter Four: Back home again

The mist slowly began to fade and Kathalyn was once again back in her living room as if it didn't even happen. She fondly looked at the book in her hands and gently stroking it put back carefully on the shelf where it belong.

Would she ever go back there? Kathalyn thought. She sat back down on the couch again with a sigh. To bad she couldn't make the rain stop here.

The front door opened and in came her sister back from work.
"Wanna watch your favorite show?" She asked, seeing Kathalyn sitting there on the couch. "You know, the one with the madman who has that weird, blue box thing?"

Kathalyn hesitantly shook her head. "Naw, " she told her sister. "I need to write." She said, getting up off the couch and going to the desk in her room. Her sister watched her go in surprise. It was rare that her sister ever missed an episode of that show, much less on purpose. She shrugged and turned on the telly to watch it herself.

Meanwhile Kathalyn was at her desk typing away on her computer. She was going to write the old fashioned way with a piece of paper and a pen but decided that this lesson was too important to be stuck in a notebook decided to do it the way everyone does it nowadays, sharing it over the web.

So here she was, clacking away on the keys, and posting it on her less updated of late blog. And this is what she wrote:

The power of writing is a magical thing. Like words spoken to one person from the next it has the ability to encourage or tear people down. But used in the right way can do a great many a thing including inspire individuals and change lives. I know from experience because it changed me. So don't ever think writing isn't important or let someone tell you it is not because it is. Both the author and their words are an important piece of this world and will continue to be so until the end. So keep writing and if it is your passion don't ever stop. Because you may never know the impact your piece of work may have, no matter how small or unimportant you may think it to be.

Kathalyn smiled as she typed those words and hit the post button on the screen. She had learned an important lesson today, one that she'd would never forget, and now others would hear it too so it would not be forgotten. But she had a small feeling that this was not the end of her writing adventures and she was right. There was definitely more to come.

A/N: No, this is definitely not the last chapter though it may seem so. Thanks for continuing reading and I hope you like and read the next coming chapter as well. - Isilwen.
