It's that time of the week once again where a cool writer gets to Hangout with us and today, we have a sensational writer and lady wordsmith, LaviniaLeigh.

Hi Lavinia, beautiful name by the way. :) We're glad to have you on today's #Hangout. Mind saying Hi to the readers!

Hello! Thank you!. I am LaviniaLeigh on Wattpad, and I am so honored that you chose to spend this time with me. My name Lavinia, is a family name, so there's a lot of us, and it means a lot to me.

A quick glance at your profile says so much is going on for you this summer.(Tell us about your summer projects)

Yes! This is going to be a crazy and super exciting summer. I am still pinching myself! I just released my new book Sugar Lust on June 10th, and will be doing updates twice a week all summer. Next, I was asked to be part of both the Summer Sunkissed Romance and Fantasy Anthologies. Finally, I am going to be back at the Wattpad Block Party coming this August. I invite everyone to check them out. There has been so much planning behind the scenes and I promise you will thoroughly enjoy the submissions from the authors involved.

You seem to be garnering success in 'little ways'. Earning a spot in 3 major events doesn't happen everyday for most writers. What do you think your been doing right ?

If I am being honest I can hardly believe it myself that I get to be part of these incredible projects with so many popular Wattpad authors. I am so touched by how supportive the Wattpad community is on a daily basis.

What have I been doing right? Well, I think mostly getting out there and talking with the authors, making comments on their stories, voting, and following the authors across platforms to Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat etc. I must say I do this everyday. I write everyday, read everyday, and send out messages everyday. It's also little bit of luck too.

Coming to your writing, you entered in both the Fantasy and Romance categories for the Sun Kissed Anthologies. Does that mean you write both genres or dabble into one occasionally?

Both of the anthologies were a good fit for me. I wrote my first romance story last winter, in time for Christmas, and found that I loved the genre. I also wrote a fantasy story last year called Scales, it's a small novella, but the comments have been super positive response by those who have read it, and I've even been sent a piece of fan art inspired by it, which was beyond touching. So, when the anthologies crossed my path, I couldn't decide which one to pick and wanted to do both.

So what's your current work-in-progress at the moment and how's it coming along?

Sugar Lust is my current WIP. I wrote the complete rough draft in April during Camp Nano, and have been slowly editing it ever since. If you haven't tried NaNoWriMo before, it is an amazing experience, one that I hope to repeat. Between Sugar Lust, and the Anthologies and Block Party contributions, I have been glued to my laptop. I have to admit, sitting at my laptop writing is my happy place.

Sugar Lust has just 2 Chapters up and 667 reads already. What inspired you to create this piece of art?

I am overwhelmed with how much support I have got on Sugar Lust! These past 6 days have been a whirlwind of trepidation, excitement, and relief! It actually started as a totally different project. I have a friend that I like to help plan out wild and crazy events in my town with (Last one was a giant waterslide down the middle of the main street – just for fun!), and I started to write this book as a set of background story notes to a new project, but once I started writing, I couldn't stop. I loved Emmeline, her family, her decisions, some of the crazy characters – especially Pernella, who will be introduced around chapter 15 or so.

Recently, Romance Sparks launched, a team you're part of alongside amazing writers. How did u find yourself among such company?

The RomanceSparks profile is something of a heart project. I was approached by one of my best friends, the incredible story teller, gabycabezut, with this idea, and I couldn't help but jump on board. I wasn't even aware of the other people who were going to be a part of this at the time, and I when I found out, I was thrilled! Some of these ladies I have the privilege to talk to everyday, and to do a project with them is beyond my wildest dreams.

The Romancesparks profile will have a twitter chat on the genre, starting next Wednesday. There is a book club in the works, and we'll be promoting our favorite books, and authors. We have lots of great stuff up our sleeves, so make sure you check it out, and follow us on twitter and Instagram so you can be in the know. From your period here on Wattpad, what's one story you've read and would consider an 'undiscovered gem'?

You have got to check out tamoja's, Camp NaNoWriMo! I can't stress this enough. She takes a bunch of Wattpad's popular authors and put them in a summer writing camp, where a nefarious force is killing them off one by one. It is a funny, imaginative story, with a brilliant concept, and I stop everything when the next chapter update is up to read it.

Who comes to mind seeing this picture?

Without a doubt, my husband! He is my number one supporter, in my writing world, my everyday world, and even in my dreams. He always makes my smile.

Finally, what are we to look out for from the Lavinia Leigh brand?

I have two books swimming around in my head. One is the sequel to Sugar Lust, tentatively titled Sugar Rush. I found there was far too much story for just one book, so another one will come out at some point. The next is a sequel to Scales. When I started the Fantasy Anthology, I accidently ended up with the first four chapters of a book instead of a short story! So hopefully this fall, I'll be able to start investing some time in them.

I have a new cover for Legend's Quake, my pre-teen adventure novel that I thought I would release here first! I won't be adding it to the book tomorrow, so you guys get the first peak. It was created by TharronSkylor, who has got some crazy good designing skills! Check him out on Wattpad, he is defiantly an up and coming super star.
