Peter stared at the screen as another image flared to life. The girl, Angel, was bleeding from her forehead and her breathing was heavy.
She focused her pleading eyes on the camera. "Stark is dead, Nature is doomed. Unless the Champions and Avengers unite, Earth, our beautiful Mother Earth, is as good as dead. They stole the Feline Eye. We couldn't fight the wall of fire. It took all I had to save the kingdom. Peter, if you see this, help us, because you are the only one left to keep us safe. Find me." Shouting in the a strange language came from off camera and Angel's eyes drooped shut, and the camera fell from her hands. Bright sparks of bright green fire came from her head wound, followed by a swear. A foot came down hard and rumble exploded around them. Jacquin lay alarmingly still close behind her daughter, whose breathing was labored and body was collapsed and small.
Peter stared as a teenager around their age, with dark, poison green eyes lift the mother and the sparks started up again. "I'm sorry ma'am, I didn't realize you were near. Forgive me, elder oracle. I am simply obeying orders." The boy waited for the slow rise and fall of Jacquin's chest before laying her next to Angel. The blue in Angel's hair had grown, now covering half her hair. The image flickered out and the final image came up.
"Okay, the tower should be easy to spot. Marrey, it has a giant A on it!" A male Chile came from the intercom on the cloaked girl's necklace.
"Bird Champion, Marrey, right E.D.I.T.H.?" Peter spike low, keeping his voice hushed.
"Correct Peter. Marrey Sparks, born to Joy Sparks, 1999, in the early morning of January 2. Joy was found beaten to death by her husband, who was promptly attack by a large flock of ravens, who then guarded the child while a Buzzard lifted her out of harms way. Both parents were reported DOA." E.D.I.T.H. Read the entire file, along with CCTV videos showing the child and her small wings disappearing into the sky, a massive flock of birds surrounding her.
"Well, go in then. We have to save my sister! Their technology could be our only hope! I can't loose another pack member Marrey. It's like loosing a flock member. It rips part of you out." The kid sounded like he was tearing up, and a small video in the corner confirmed he was. A boy no older than thirteen sat, a earpiece in and typing profusely on a keyboard.
"Kip, I know. She has been like a sister to me since the feline Kingdom came to the truce day. She will be okay, because she is unbelievably strong." Marrey stepped into a building, which Peter noted was Stark Labs, the building they were currently in.
Marrey dropped off the camera and told the receptionist the message and the camera clicked off. Leaving a static hiss going through the room.
"Friday, Edith, give me a report on the Kip boy." Thor watched as pictures displaying everything from a baby boy in a crib, to a toddler girl swimming in a pool, to two separate crime scenes and missing person reports on both children.
"Kip Dan Roberts, brother of Starlight Angel Roberts, son of Mary and Christopher Roberts, reported missing at 12:45 pm Wednesday the seventeenth of July, four months after his birth. Mother found strangled, stabbed, and Kip's blood on her body post mortem. Starlight Roberts also reported missing two year prior, age four, mother's death similar. Christopher was mauled by a cheetah after the death of Starlight's mother, drawing attention away from his involvement. Christopher was reported as DOA due to a pack of wild dogs tearing him to pieces. Later video footage was found of Kip being carried away by a mother Dingo, to which Angel had called Dina. Whereabouts of both children still unknown by authorities over the cases today." Bucky stared in shock and Hulk coughed.
"Friday, Arrow, Aquatic Kingdom's Champion. Give me his report." Pepper had came back in, her eyes light with a need to investigate.
"Arrow Ethers, date of birth unknown, family found washed onto shore after a storm ripped their yacht in half. Parents reported alive with minor lacerations and fluids in their airways, as well as multiple broken ribs. Arrow was never found, though his twin sister, Bowie, survived, recently spotted working at the local aquatic life hospital in Los Angeles. Parents whereabouts unknown, most likely occurring after loosing two other children to the ocean and a runaway daughter in 2006. They promptly abandoned society, becoming shut ins and are checked on every week by local police who fear for their weakening bodies. Sister's Bowie and Mariana Ethers both well and active amongst society. Mariana, last seen visiting an abandoned ship yard, is now age sixteen, and is living independently with a boyfriend."
Peter, together with Thor and Pepper, investigated further into the Champions past.
"Elizabeth, exact date of birth unknown. Parents unknown. CCTV footage reports seeing a small infant being abandoned in lower Ft. Lauderdale's water treatment plant. Hours later, video caught an alligator investigating the small infant, which seemed to have skin like a lizard, and then gingerly putting the child in its mouth and swimming into a nearby marsh."
"Grace Joy Young, born March fourteenth, along with twins, Mary Beth Young, and Hope Rae Young, early morning, 2000. Grace was reported missing January nineteenth, 2002, after a trip to China resulted in her being snatched by an ape who had mistook her for one of its own. Mary and Hope still look for their sister's remains every year. The mother died in child birth and the father committed suicide shortly after loosing Grace, leaving distant relatives to watch out for the two remaining siblings."
"Sunnirae Bailey Girsten, born April 14th 1999, younger sister to Darious Simmon Girsten, older sister to Andrew Blake Girsten. Reported missing by school board after siblings showed up crying heavily about a sinkhole and their sister falling in, rats everywhere. Mother never came up in system, father is unknown. Both presumed dead. Both brothers are living in an apartment in downtown Atlanta."
The search came up short. Most of them still had family out there. Peter wrote down all the siblings names, and their last known whereabouts. If he found the kids, he could tell them about their other families. At least, if he could get them to listen.
