O: Hey guys, so I know we haven't talked in a while but the Sweetheart Dance is coming up and I was wondering if anyone else had plans.

I: I'm just going with a friend of mine. We're gonna hang out in the back drinking punch.

C: As am I.

I: Wow, that's... cool.

U: I'm not going.

O: What?! Why not?!

I: Yeah, if nothing else, go for a few minutes and get some food. It's completely free so I see no reason why you can't stop by.

C: The food is really good.

U: I don't know, that just really isn't my thing.

O: Come on, please? *makes puppy dog eyes*

U: I guess I can drop by.

O: Yay!

I: I guess nobody can resist puppy dog eyes. Not even U.

U: That was a terrible pun. And I only agreed because I don't want to be spammed about it (like the dinner).

C: How do you know he's actually going?

I: Yeah, he could just be saying that. He could actually not go and you'd never know because we don't know who each other is.

U: Thanks. I'm glad you guys trust me.

I: We don't trust you. That is literally what we just said.

U: I know, it was kind of obvious. I was being sarcastic.

I: If you want to be sarcastic in a text, you have to say *sarcastically* with the little start things to show you are being sarcastic.

U: Oh, I didn't know that. I'll do that from now on.

I: How did you not know that?

U: I don't text much.

I: Do you use the internet?

U: A little. Mostly for research projects.

I: What about fandom sites? Isn't the tutor supposed to be a nerdy geek who does a ton of role playing and D&D?

U: No, I'm really not into that stuff. I just like reading.

O: What book are you reading?

I: You are so boring U. Like, so boring it's boring.

U: Yeah, well I'm fine being boring. And I'm reading Catalyst by S. J. Kincaid.

C: Is that the second book in Insignia?

U: No, it's the third. Vortex is the second.

O: So is Insignia the first book? What's it about?

U: Its about a boy who joins the military during WWIII and gets a computer stuck into his brain.

O: That actually sounds cool.

I: How did this conversation get so boring?

O: Well what book are the rest of you reading?

C: I'm reading the Outsiders.

U: That's a good book.

O: I'm reading Wires and Nerve, the graphic novel continuation of Cinder.

U: Wait, that's out?!

O: Yup, and it's really good.

I: I'm reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid no. 13.

O: Is it good?

I: No, I hate it. And I hate reading.

C: I have to go.

O: Talk to y'all later!

I feel like these texts are similar to the ones in my group chat with my friends. That start off one conversation and go to something completely different and then continues to progress until we've forgotten what we were originally talking about.
