  You know what sucks. High school. Especially freshman. They're all so perverted and immature. The only freshman I could slightly tolerate was Daniel but that's because I've known him my whole life. He's the son of superman and Lois lane. See when mom became good instead of evil, she became friends with the justice league.
   So sometimes when they'd hang out, Daniel had nothing to do so he'd always hang out with Lucy and I. Lucy and Daniel dated one summer but it didn't last long. No one could ever tell they did though. They still act like friends, the breakup didn't affect them at all. The one thing about Daniel was that he was popular. Having all his powers makes him the best candidate for any sports team and being the son of a hero makes the girls fall for him. They all say he has the biggest muscles. Which he doesn't. Not that I've looked. He's just not as good as people say he is. He speaks to me whenever he sees me but I really could care less if he did or not.
   Whenever I see Lucy in the hallway she always waves like crazy and says she'll see me at lunch. You see I hang out with all the sophomores because of my sister. Lucy is literally my best friend at school, and even if she wasn't my sister I think she would be. I always sit with her at lunch along with Amber, who's starting to become my best friend to. Amber plays volleyball with Lucy and has a huge crush on Cameron. Which made me weary of her at first but she hasn't tried to take him from me and doesn't talk about him around me. So I guess she's trying to be respectful. Then there's Jermone. It's no surprise he sits with us, I've known Jermone for as long as I could remember, I just wish he wouldn't love Lucy so much. Why can't he be content on being friends and move on from her?

"How's everything going?" Lucy asks, before I could reply Cameron came and plopped down next to me.

"Hey," he spoke as he hugged me.

"Go away," Lucy spat. Cameron looked at her with a sparkle in his eye. He does this whenever he feels challenged, it's one of the many quirks I like about him.

"Sorry princess but I'm sitting with my girlfriend, whether you like it or not," he replied and he stuck his tongue out. Jermone looked like he wanted to punch the guy. But Jermone looks that way at anybody who looks at Lucy. Amber glanced at him but then quickly looked away. And asked me if I had Mrs.Bolen, when I said yes. She said she pitied me because she hated her last year. Mrs.Bolen was a bad teacher . Always yelling at kids. Especially Daniel, since he's practically a class clown. Daniel would always roll his eyes at me when she yelled and say she was "an old hag."
Gosh that boy was so stupid! But he was hilarious.
One good thing about high school was that you got classes with different grades. So I didn't have to put with all the middle school preps anymore. Sadly I had 3 classes with Daniel. But I had 1 with Lucy, the one where the teacher could barley separate us, 2 with Amber and 1 with Cameron.
I realized that I had zoned out and continued talking to Amber. Jermone was too busy focusing on what Lucy was going to say to notice that the world was moving. Cameron and Lucy were arguing with each other. Again! I wish they could just get along . Is that too much to ask for?

Cameron

  I can't believe my sisters making me play tennis with her this year. Basketballs more my thing, but Leias'  like a general in the army, she'll yell at you and won't stop until you do as she says. She's so annoying.
   Well , I guess being good at basketball makes me good at any sport because I'm number one seed. Great, I guess, I really don't care. Sometimes Merwin comes to see me, but not really that much.
   Lucy's always around. Probably because Jermone wants her to come watch him, to show off. Jermones a good kid but he should just back off of Lucy, but he won't accept that she's not into him that way. Stubborn stupid boy.
   One day, most of the juniors didn't show to practice because they had a field trip and we were short on members. So Lucy started hitting with Jermone.
    Dang that girl could hit a ball!!
  She's so skinny and short, you'd think she was weak but someone she was hitting the ball like a pro would.
   So the coach asked her about joining the team and Merwin told her she should, to be with her friends.
  Since Lucy's already so good and is progressing every day, she  hits with me. I would never admit this to her, but sometimes I struggle hitting against her. She's  getting so good. I've always liked to give Lucy a hard time, I always joke her and she snaps at me. Now not only at school but at the tennis court. She looks like she's about to pounce on me, as her blood boils.
   She was really something.

   Since Lucy's playing tennis, I thought I'd to watch her some, besides Cameron would be there. So I'll kill two birds with one stone.
    Unfortunately as soon as I got there they were wrapping up.

   "How bad did ya beat him?" I asked Lucy as I saw Cameron wiping sweat off him.

"We don't talk about it," Cameron spoke and laughed, trying to brush the question off but Lucy only smirked.

 
  "That bad?!" I whispered and laughed as she did as well.

  "Merwin,......." Cameron began but hesitated. Something was wrong, or Lucy skunked him really bad.

  "Yeah?" I asked, a look of confusion passing my brows.

"Can we talk?"

"That's what we've been doing blockhead!" Lucy replied. Then realized he was serious and wanted us to be alone. "Ok.........." She muttered as she left and whispered that she'd be in the car waiting on me.

  "What's wrong?" I asked, I tried to grasp his hand for comfort, but she shook it away and ran it through his short dark hair.

  "Mer,..........I think we should break up,"

  ".........why?...."

"I just don't want to hurt you,-"

  "That's what your  doing right now,"

"You sound like Lucy," he mutters then continued "no I mean I don't want to hurt you but if we stay together our  relationship will just be one sided and that's not going to be good so,....."

  "You like someone else?"

  "Yes."

  Of course, I'm not good enough to date a popular sophomore guy. It's probably because I didn't want to get in bed with him, I'm too young for that stuff. I was about to say something but he did. Just making it worse.

   "Umm....my rides here,I'm sorry," he spoke as he patted my shoulder and left. He patted my shoulder, gee thanks pal!
  I walked quickly to the car and sat down. Mom was about to ask but Lucy told her now wasn't the time.

  "Hey," she spoke as she grasped my hand. I looked at her and let my tears fall, I wasn't going to hold them back anymore. Lucy didn't say anything but just hugged me as I sobbed the story out, somehow she understand every word I said. When I was done she called Cameron multiple cuss words, and as they're car passed by she gave him the finger.
Mom told her to not to say those things,but today was ok to say them.
    So once mom left to go help dad cook supper. Lucy just sat there, holding me. I am so glad to have her.

   Dad took me to school this morning. Lucy got to miss school today because Joker came over for the first time this month. It was going to be a father daughter day and mom stayed home to watch them. Dad was quiet the whole way. Maybe mom told  him not to mention Cameron or something.

  "Love you," he spoke as he parked.

  "Right back at ya," I say with a grin as I exit the car. That's all Lucy kept telling me last night on repeat. "Smile through it and show them," last night I slept in Lucy's bed. Usually she comes to sleep with me but I needed her.
   I saw leia screaming at Cameron. Brother and sister love. I tried to ignore them, just looking at him made my heart ache and long for him.

   "WHY ARE YOU SO DUMB?! SHE WAS THE PERFECT GIRLFRIEND,why would you leave her?!!!!! " leia was talking about me. I couldn't help but listen in, just of being curious  of who'd he would say he wanted over me.

  "I like someone else," was all he said.

"WHO?"

   His next response, shocked me and broke me.

  "Lucy,"
