Chapter 16

"How? Do you want to try to find the bandit's base?"

Kin became aware of Clark's presence after engrossing himself in reading the quest explanation that appeared in front of him.

"It's better to try it. Maybe we can find the base and speed up the problem with this bandit." Clark turned his gaze back to the bartender in front of him, Emil. Where should we look for the bandit's base?"

[You have accepted the quest Looking for Bandit's Base on the road to Tzami City.]

Emil pointed at it somewhere. "Other adventurers are looking to the west of this city, in the direction of Tzami city."

"Okay thank you." Clark got up from his chair but Kin was still sitting in front of Emil.

Clark sat back down and looked at Kin. "Emil, do you know what the commotion is in front right there? I heard there is a connection with goblins."

"Ah, the commotion right there. There's a group of goblins attacking one of the villages nearby. In Dorf village if I'm not mistaken."

Clark was shocked when he heard that. "Kin, isn't it the same village that we visited last week?"

Kin nodded. "It seems so. So what about that group of goblins? Was there still a commotion even though the goblins were dead? Did they reappear?"

Just as Kin finished speaking, a man entered the adventurer's office, drawing Emil turned his attention to that person and waved at him. "Yohei, you came at the right time. These are the people you are looking for."

Kin and Clark looked at the person Emil called. The man named Yohei, is not very tall, maybe around Kin's height, but with a sturdy-looking body. Apart from that, his face is quite handsome with a sharp nose, big eyes, and a strong jawline. He looked at Emil then at Kin and Clark. He approached the bar, Kin and Clark sat in silence while looking at this Yohei, trying to guess what this man would do. Suddenly Yohei tapped Kin and Clark on the shoulder which surprised them.

"You guys the one that saved my village?" Yohei asked with his face made a big smile.

"Oh... Yes." Kin's answer stuttered.

Yohei looked at Kin and Clark with a grateful expression. "Thank you very much."

"you...'re welcome." Kin answered while confused, he then glanced at Clark looking for help but he also looked confused.

"You guys have helped my village, how can I help you?" Yohei offered.

Kin just kept quiet and looked at Yohei in disbelief. Clark noticed Kin was too confused to say anything, so he helped answer Yohei's question. "We want to go to Tzami city."

Yohei, Kin, and Emil looked at Clark. Yohei looked dumbfounded and went silent thinking about Clark's request.

While waiting for Yohei to answer, Kin pulled Clark away. "What are you doing?"

"Asked him to help us," Clark responded simply.

"Why don't you discuss it first? Or give me a code or something."

"I also wanted to give you some sign or maybe telepathy but I couldn't. Ha ha ha." Clark laughs but Kin cannot laugh with Clark's lame joke.

Then Clark continued. "What's important right now is that we need Yohei. If they are willing to help, that means we can immediately arrive at Tzami City."

"Hmmm......Well, hopefully, he will accept this very sudden request."

Kin and Clark returned to their seats. Yohei was still thinking about Clark's request.

After quite a while Yohei moved his seat and looked toward Kin and Clark. "Sorry, I can't repay you with that because there's no way I can take you there alone. I need my team to be able to take you there and they will charge for that."

Kin had predicted that it was impossible request would be rejected. However, since Clark had opened this conversation, Kin dared to ask further. "How much do you guys need?"

"Given the danger, I need 50,000 gold to persuade my member to accept this request. and that's excluding the fee for hiring me." Yohei responded.

Now it was Kin's turn to be confused after hearing Yohei's answer. Clark pulled Kin away but Kin brushed it off and looked at Yohei. "Okay, I will pay 50,000 gold on the condition that I pay after arriving at Tzami City and with you following our traveling speed."

"No, I need a guarantee for the money. At last, I need half of that when we leave Stolita city. The rest will be paid when we arrive at Tzami city, how about that?"

Yohei stretched out his hand towards Kin. Clark, who was watching from the side, shook his head in disbelief. But Kin immediately welcomed Yohei's hand. Clark let out a long sigh because he couldn't believe what Kin had done.

"I'll try to discuss it with my team. So we'll meet again here tomorrow afternoon?"

"Ok, see you tomorrow afternoon."

Yohei then left the adventurer's office, leaving Kin, Clark, Eamil, and several adventurers who were watching their conversation.

Clark grabbed Kin's shoulder and looked into Kin's eyes seriously. "What are you doing? Do you have that much gold? We can just wait until someone finds the bandit base then we can get access to Tzami City."

Kin brushed off Clark's hand from his shoulders slowly. "Calm down Clark. One by one Clark. First, for gold, I have it. Even though it's just barely enough. As for looking for the bandit base, I'm not sure anyone can finish it quickly. What's more, there is a possibility that these bandits will destroy Tzami city. If that happens there will be no more Pasiteri priests that we need to meet."

"But there are still a lot of people looking for the bandit base, someone will find it." Clark still insisted.

"I understand your concern. But I think it will make the risk higher if we delay departing to Tzami city. And we will go there at a slow pace so we can hope as we go there the bandit base will be found by someone."

Clark looked at Kin's eyes straight. He could see that Kin was so determined and couldn't change his thoughts. In the end, he gave up trying to persuade Kin." Alright. We'd better get ready for tomorrow's trip."

Kin and Clark said goodbye to Emil. Then they walked to the city market and tried to sell the items they got during their trip to Stolitsa. Before selling items, Kin always used the 'Appraisal' skill to ensure that he did not sell items that were important or worthy of selling in the auction. However, there were no valuable items from the items that he got during the trip, including items from the fight against the goblins that attacked Dorf's village. Until he saw the status of 'Hobgoblin Cloth'.

[Hobgoblin Cloth]

[Rating: Rare]

[This fabric contains a small amount of earth elements. When crafting an armor using this fabric, the armor created will have a little extra resistance to earth elements.]

After Kin checked the 'Hobgoblin Cloth' he checked the 'Hobgoblin Axe', and the results he got were also quite satisfactory.

[Hobgoblin Ax]

[Type = Two-handed ax Grade = Rare

The ax was obtained from the hobgoblin. This weapon can provide additional attacks with the earth element.

Attack = 280 Magic Attack = 0

HP + 2.000 Year + 10

When attacking monsters Goblins type provides an additional 20% attack. When attacking a weak enemy with the earth element will provide an additional 20% attack.

Minimum usage level = 120]

Wow, looks like I'll auction it to get extra gold.

After Kin and Clark finished selling goods and buying their travel necessities, they went to the auction place. Kin took the 25,000 gold needed to pay Yohei's team. Then he included the 'Hobgoblin Cloth' in the items being auctioned with an initial gold value for the auction of 1,000 gold. When Kin was about to include the 'Hobgoblin Ax" in the list of items being auctioned, he canceled it.

Kin thought a better use for the ax. Maybe I can learn to use a two-handed ax using this.

Kin and Clark finished their business in the city market and looked for an inn in the city for tonight. Kin and Clark found an inn and were finally able to rest in bed after approximately 1 month of only sleeping in a tent. Because Clark was too tired, he went straight to sleep after arriving at the inn and Kin logged out.

The next morning Clark invited Kin to go out of town to train as usual. After practicing they returned to the inn to get ready. After that, they went to the adventurer's office. When they got there Yohei was waiting with three other people.

Upon arriving, Kin and Clark approached Yohei and his team. "Hey Kin, Clark. Are you ready to go?" Yohei asked.

"Yeah, let's go," Clark replied.

"Before we start, let me introduce my team," Yohei said. "I am Yohei, the leader of this team and I am responsible as a damage dealer with the main weapon ax. Then he was Ken" Yohei pointed to a small man who wore cloth as his armor and a samurai sword hanging from his waist.

Then a large man appeared wearing armor made of steel which looked very strong and carrying a shield as big as his body. "Hi, I'm Hauve a tank on this team. And this is our last member, Ria, she is a mage."

Hauve pushed a small, short-haired woman, who stared at Kin very coldly. The woman wore an oversized wizard's robe and carried a wizard's wand almost as tall as her body. Then Clark introduced himself and Kin.

After getting to know each other, Clark and Yohei checked each other's items. "So, you can transfer the gold to me."

Kin nodded opened the transfer menu and gave 25,000 gold to Yohei according to their agreement yesterday. A notification appears.

[You have teamed up with Yohei's mercenary team. You can create a team with him.]

Kin's team status was updated and 4 names were added. Kin only realized this when he tried to check the status of the four of them. It turns out that the names Yohei, Ken, Hauve, and Ria are bronze, which means they are rare NPCs and stronger than the average player in SENSES.

After receiving the gold, Yohei led the group towardthe west gate of Stolitsa City, ready to begin their journey.
