Sheryl's POV

I got up due to the sun rays hitting my face. I have to start my work as a slave from today so I was disheartened as I didn't want to become a slave. Mr.Cockroach entered the room.

"Slave, you have to clean the whole palace within an hour.....it must take only an hour or else the queen will give you another punishment severer than this....."

"I'm not a slave.....and don't call me a slave ever again.....I don't care if the queen kills me.....it's better than living in this hell!"

"I don't want any of your nonsense... just get up and start doing your work." he ordered me and left.

I went to the court as I had to clean it first. It was such a big place and I had to clean it all alone. It's impossible! I started my work and tried to finish it as soon as possible.

In the corner, I saw someone with white hair. He was busy writing something. I went up to him, maybe he could help me get out of this place.

Newton's POV

I was busy deriving some laws for the kingdom, when light entered through my cornea. It got refracted at my cornea's outer surface and was formed on my iris. After my pupil controlled the light entering my eye, it went through my double convex transparent crystalline lens and a real, inverted image of the object was formed on my retina. Electric signals were conveyed to my brain from my optic nerve. Due to this I was able to see a slave come near me. At first I ignored her but then she asked me something.

"Please could you help me get out of this place...I've been captured here for no reason."

"No, no I can't help you. I'm very busy and I have no time to waste. If I help you then the queen will end my life....and I don't want to die because I have to prepare lots of laws.

Naagin's POV

I entered my room. I always loved to spend time in my room which would always be decorated with flowers that I admired the most.

Suddenly, I saw something on the table. There was a box. I opened the box and saw that in the box was a beautiful necklace studded with diamonds and lots of precious jewels. It was even better than the former one. I was so excited that I wore it. I started admiring myself in the huge mirror and the necklace looked perfect on me.

With all this, I remembered the day when we were married. Reuben and I were very excited and were eagerly waiting for that day. Tomorrow is my birthday and I know he bought this as a gift for me.

Flashback starts

The huge hall was decorated with flowers of all kind and their fragrance spread all over the hall. There was a chandelier in the middle of the hall which was sparkling brightly. Both the families were present. The entire kingdom was also present for this grand function. Reuben's best friend, King Joshua was also present.

I was really excited for the wedding. I saw Reuben, speaking to his royal Mathematician Newton in a corner. I didn't know what were they speaking about but I decided not to trouble him.

After some time the priest entered and the wedding ceremony started. We took our vows in front of the altar and accepted each other as husband and wife. The crowd cheered and exclaimed,"Long live King Reuben! Long live Queen Naagin! After exchanging the rings, the priest said, "You may now kiss the bride." I blushed seeing Reuben coming closer to me. He took my lips in his and we were kissing each other passionately.

After the kiss, Reuben suddenly fell in front of me. He soon became unconscious. Was it because of my poison?

"Reuben...get up....what happened to you"I started crying but to no avail he remained there immovable.

"It's all because of me.....my poison has hurt him.....if he dies it will be my fault.....I will kill myself."I kept on crying while the royal advisor Mr. cockroach was trying to console me.

"Your highness, it's not because of you.....please don't cry"

"No. It's because of me....because of me this happened."

"Nothing has happened because of you darling." I got shocked seeing Reuben fine. If he was fine then some time back what happened, what was that?

"I know that you must be wondering what happened awhile ago. Actually, I knew that when I would kiss you, your poison would affect me. That's why........"

Flashback starts

Reuben was talking to Newton. "Newton, I need some antidote for Naagin's poison. Could you provide me with some."

"Sure your majesty, I have panacea which could be of great help to you."

"Thank you, but what is panacea?"

"Panacea is my magical formula which can cure any illness, no matter what it is."

"Awesome! I needed something like this only. Now you may go and enjoy the party."

Newton bowed down before Reuben and went away.

Flashback ends

"I wanted to know the extent of your love. That's why even after taking the antidote...I mean panacea, I did acting of fainting to see whether you really care for me."

"You know how scared I was to think that I lost you. How did you think that I don't love you. Please don't do this again."

"I promise I will never do this again." He wiped my tears.

"I can't see tears in your beautiful eyes. Please stop crying. I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I hugged him as tight as I could since I didn't want to lose him.

"Take this....is a gift from me"he gave me a box in which there was a beautiful necklace studded with diamonds.

"Oh.....how beautiful it is! Thank you Reuben" I hugged him once again.

Flashback ends

That was the most beautiful day of my life. I will cherish that day forever.

Newton's POV

The slave was continuously pleading me to free her. Sodium chloride mixed with dihydro mono-oxide was getting secreted from her lacrimal glands. Seeing that I took pity and decided to help her.

"I am ready to help you escape from here but for that you will have to do something for me."

"What?"
