Sheryl's POV

I went back into my room hopelessly. Now I had no one to help me.Newtons plan had failed.Is Joshua still angry with me? Yes, maybe because he didn't even come to see me.I want to ask forgiveness for whatever I did,but I can't step out of this kingdom.If I could the first thing I would do would be asking forgiveness from him.

I just laid my head on the floor because there was no bed in the slaves room.I read going to sleep but I couldn't because my head was filled with all the troubles I faced these days.Just then,Kantaben came.

"It's okay, Sheryl.You can try next time."she encouraged me but I was too shattered to be encouraged.

"No.I cannot come out of this hell.Im trapped her forever.Even Joshua's not coming to meet me.Everything is against me."I said crying as she looked at me with sadness.

"Nothing is against you.Newton and I are with you.We will help you."

"But what about Joshua.I feel so lonely without him.I don't know what was the bond between us but I am alone without him."

"Maybe you love him."

"No.He's not my boyfriend!"she started laughing at me.

"When did I say he is your boyfriend.You just need some rest.Go to sleep."she said and as per her instructions I tried to sleep once again.My heart was feeling right after talking with her.Wha about Joshua?Do I really love him? No.He's just my friend,that's all.

I dozed off to sleep.

Next day,I had finished with all the work and was about to go to my room to rest when I saw Ellie looking at something and smiling.I went and saw that she was looking at Reuben's photo.Why is she smiling by looking at his photo?I coughed.

"Oh Sheryl."

"How do you know my name and why aren't you calling me slave?"

"I don't think you're a slave.You're my friend."she said.Why is she calling me her friend?

"Okay,if I'm your friend then tell me why are you smiling so much?"

"Actually.I love Reuben."the words shocked me to the core.She loved Reuben,her sister's husband.

"What are you saying?"

"I would marry him but it was Naagin who saw him first.You know naagin always snatches my things.I don't like her!"she showed me her hatred towards her sister.

"But----"

"Will you help me?please."from so many days it was me who was pleading for help but now it's her.I'll help her because I hate Naagin and want to see her cry.

"Okay,but you have to help me."

"Yes,I'll help you!"she said excited.

I walked towards my room.I was stuck between Naagin and Ellie.If I help Ellie Naagin will kill me and I don't want to die.In addition to that,Joshua too left me.Now I'm alone.Yes Kantaben is with me but I don't trust her completely.

"Why are you so sad?"I kept walking that I didn't realise that I had reached kantaben's room.

"Nothing.I'm just....a.....I'm tired."I told a lie because I didn't want her to know about Ellie and also I didn't want Ellie to be in danger.

"Then you should take rest."I walked to my room.

Now things were turning out more difficult than before. There was no one to help me.

After a week,

It had been a week! The most terrible week of my life.I had broken many things of the palace and naagin had given me many warnings.But my mind wasn't functioning properly.All because of Naagin,Ellie and Joshua.He hadn't come to meet me the whole week and I decided to forget him.Because if I remember him it will only add to my problems.

I was busy washing the plates and thinking at the same time.Suddenly a plate fell from my hand and crashed on the ground.

"Slave!what's the matter with you."Naagin said as she came with her angry face as always.

"I am sorry.It was a mistake."

"You call it a mistake! I warned you so much times about it but still you do this! I am irritated with you." She said anger in her words.

"It won't repeat."

She walked away leaving me there.I couldn't do anything.I was locked in this place forever.I walked out of the kitchen so that I could do my other works.

Joshua's POV

I walked around my room.It had been a week since I didn't meet my friend Reuben.I think I should go and meet him tomorrow.

"Mr.Goblin,I want you to take care of my kingdom tomorrow as I'm not there."

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to meet my friend in another kingdom.I don't think you need to know everything.Youre just my advisor."

"Sorry,your majesty.I won't do that again."

Mr.Goblin walked away from my room.I felt as if I forgot something.What did I forget?It's better to forget it.There's no use remembering it.
