"Here, let me get some meat from the backpack." Joey said. 

I ran over and spotted some logs. I grabbed as much as my mouth could carry. 

I set them down. 

"Here, let's cook some steak and make a fire." I said. 

I just realized Joey was vegan. 

"It's okay if you don't wa-" I was cut off. 

"You have to eat anything in a zombie apocalypse." Joey said. 

"He's right." Meghan replied. 

We cooked the steak and began to eat. 

"So.. Joey, how did you meet Shadow?" Meghan asked. 

"It's a very long, long story. Let's just say she found me before I found her." He replied giggling. 

I tore off a piece of steak and ate it in one bite. 

I tore off another piece and carried it over to the dogs. 

They each took one half. 

"I am glad we survived. Now let's hope none of us get killed." I said. 

They all nodded. 

I set up my sleeping place with the dogs. 

I layed my head down. 

Then Daniel came over to me. 

"Hey.. I am sor-" I cut him off. 

"It's fine." I said kind of annoyed. I faced my back toward him. 

"Goodnight, Shadow." He said. 

"Good night." I replied and he walked off. 

I got up when I thought everyone was asleep. 

I went on top of the highest hill in the field and howled. 

Challenging anyone who wished to hurt my pack. 

Zombies came and it seemed in slow motion, I bit every one of their heads off. 

I ran around the top of hill and jumped off, catching myself when I landed. 

I then felt some voices in my head 

"Dead.. Friends.. I am coming.." It said. 

I growled, and snarled. 

My tail stood up and my wings flapped. 

"I dare you to come hurt my friends. The only thing you will touch is my teeth. ...And your own blood." I responded.

I ran back to Joey and Meghan who were sleeping on the field next to each other. I layed my head on Meghan's side (Like a wolf does to keep each other warm.) The sun was rising, but I kept my head like that.
