Evan's POV

Time went on and I got to know Emily better since I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. As I got to know her I noticed something....

Her smile. It seemed forced. like as if she had forgotten how to smile......

I had the chance to meet her friends and one of them Emily was considered about the most. Her name was Keira and according to Emily she wasn't in the right state of mind....

I could tell how much Emily cared for her and how close she's gotten to her.....

Emily's POV

Of course I'm worried about Keira, she's my best friend but to me she's like a sister to me and I don't want to lose her.....

I can tell that Evan is worried about me but I don't need him to worry about me. I'm more worried about Keira then myself....

After a long day, I decided to clear my mind a little bit and sit on top of a hill. As I was just enjoying myself, my phone went off and I answered it....

"Hello?"

"Emily it's your dad, something has happened to Middleton....."

My heart started racing, I was scared about what he would say next....

"Okay what happened?"

"There's no easy way to say this but.... Middleton committed suicide last night...."

As soon as I heard those words my phone fell out of my hands as I collapsed on the floor and cried....

I didn't understand....

He was gone....

The brother that I have loved so much was gone.....

Just like that....

And now I'll never be able to see him again....

I'll never hear his jokes....

I'll never see him graduate high school....

All of that was gone now....

After that day, I was no longer myself....
