I miss my parapatai even after 8 centuries and 5 years. I count every day without him and it still hasn't gotten easier. When the ceremony concluded I used a portal to get away. I landed on my bed in Rome Italy and broke down. I gripped my sheets and cried for the first time in forever. Suddenly I felt a presence and knew exactly who it was.

"It's alright to feel Lina" Magnus said from beside me

"I miss him Magnus and it's so hard to watch ceremonies happen" I said

"I know but I'm proud of you for attending to see your mates parapatai ceremony" he says

"I know and I am too" I said

Before the ceremony

Alec's POV

I got this weird feeling inside me like a calling. A pull to someone in the room. Someone other than jace my soon to be parapatai. I was excited for the ceremony, but something was off. Someone in the building was effecting me differently. i can't explain what this feeling is. I just found myself walking in some direction. Weaving through people until I found myself at my parents office.

I knocked, but not before I heard three voices. Two belonged to each of my parents and the third. I didn't recognize the voice, but it sent shivers through my body.

"Come in" my father said

When I entered the room I looked around, but it was only them. Just my father and my mother sitting in chairs. I looked between them very confused.

"Where's the other person?" I asked

"What do you mean?" My mom asked

"There was a third voice I swear and they, they gave me this weird feeling I followed the pull from the hall where jace is" I said

I watched them look between one another with a soft smile. Although when they looked back in my direction it changed.

"You'll know soon enough, but right now your ceremony starts soon" my mother said as her and my father escorted me out

I made my way back to the hall and the pull was stronger. I looked around the room seeing people I knew. I didn't find the one face that I didn't know. It bothered me that I couldn't find them. This feeling drove me nuts and it was stronger now. It was a different type of bond than what I feel with jace. They were close very close inside the room.

Trinitys POV

"Cheshire come here" I called out to my cat

"Meww" he said as he jumped into my lap

I looked down at my car that was rubbing his head on me. He wasn't just any kind of cat and you'll see soon.

"Visber" I said and the cat became my long time friend

"Why didn't you do that sooner" he rolled his eyes

"My apologies drama Queen" I said rolling my eyes

"So what do I owe the pleasure of shifting back to my human form?" He asked

"I met him" I said with a soft smile

"Really what's he like, is he nice, when can I meet him, why aren't you with him" he rambled

"Cheshire breath" I said

"Right my apologies" he said

"I didn't talk to him he's only sixteen and I was only there for his parapatai ceremony" I said

"So did you tell his parents?" He asked

"They know and we're happy I think" I said

"Well that's good" he said

Trinitys POV

"Why the fuck isn't this working" I snapped as my portal began to fade

"Let me help" I heard on the other side

Finally I got through to Magnus home in Brooklyn. I was in for a visit to the New York institute. I huffed and placed my bag down in the ground. Cheshire jumped through the portal as well. Good cat/human he is, I looked towards Magnus and smiled. I walked over to him and embraced him in a hug.

"Nice to see you again Lina it's been what" he began

"Seven years and I'm officially 812 years old as are you" I said

"What do I owe the pleasure?" He asked

"Clave business at the institute here in New York" I said and sat down in the couch

"He's 23 now you know" he says

I took a deep breath and took the glass of bourbon he handed me. I sigh, I had asked Magnus to keep a close eye in Alexander. Alec he prefers to go by and as for his sister goes by Izzy. Jace still prefers that of his full name which is Jonathan and there's a new girl. Clary Fairchild, Jocelyn Fairchild's daughter. Never met clary in person because I wasn't overly close with the Fairchild family.

"How is my anchor?" I asked

"He's very good looking I must say" he said

I turned to him my eyes flashed purple and I growled. He chuckled and put his hands up in defense.

"If you so badly want to know how he is why haven't you come to town?" He asked

"You know why" I said

"Actually no I don't" he said

"He wasn't old enough and I" I honestly didn't have a good enough reason

"Your just coming up with excuses because your scared" he says

I jumped up and grabbed him by the neck pure instinct. When my anger took hold this happened. He was talking about a weakness of mine. I was lost in my anger that I was blindsided.

"Think of Alec" I heard

The voice was distant and it was familiar but not. Images of a young sixteen year old Alec filled my head. I took a deep breath and released whatever was in my hand. I opened my eyes and saw Magnus gasping for air.

"Shit Magnus I'm so sorry are you okay" I asked

"I'm fine not enough booze in me yet" he said

"Don't please don't hurt him" I begged

In a split second his head was off his body.

Another nightmare about the loss of my parapatai Jesse. I have them every now and then, but I don't know why now. I haven't had them in a few years maybe it's being back here. I felt silk sheets around me and pillows. I felt the bottle of some type of booze in my reach. The glass at the tip of my fingers still cold.
