Solitude
She thrives in solitude
In the darkness of the night
When the world is asleep
And the moon and stars are her only companion,
She lets go and breathes.
She thrives in solitude
She closes her eyes
And feels the light breeze
Teasing her hair into knots
Caressing her cheeks.
She thrives in solitude.
She is quiet and a little shy
But her love burns brighter than the sun
And if you get too close
You might just get burnt.
She thrives in solitude
In the twisted lanes of her mind
Lies the things she cannot form into words
So she lets the ink flow on paper
She screams her heart out, but is not heard.
She thrives in solitude
She has loved and lost
She has been torn and hurt
And she fears the magnitude of her love is too much
So she keeps to herself, the perfect introvert.
And hence she thrives in solitude
In the vast emptiness of space and time
A little lost, a little confused
She stays there, in the place where
Imagination and reality entwine.
