Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold , I am against your magic charms by which you hunt souls there like birds. I will tear them from your arms , and let the souls go , the souls you hunt like birds.'
Ezekiel 13:20
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet , And He will make me walk on my high hills.
Habakkuk 3:19

Recap of Chapter 7
I find myself attracted to that piece of paper in the Bible and as I take the page I bookmarked on my desk, I hear Fin saying, "There is a sharp thunderstorm and lightning heading our way. I couldn't calm them!", he said frustrated.
While my father goes into a commando cum evil grin mode, as he says,
"But you definitely need powers and us to defend yourself from this terrible lightning, dear kiddo", shaking his head.

I ignore my father's taunting as I open the Bible to find myself reading chapter three, last part in the Book of Habakkuk. The name seemed a bit odd at first but after reading the last sayings, I felt that name was transformed to give me a sinister impact.
And then I snap giving myself a startle when my father bellows,
" Why you..." I think he must have only noticed now that I wasn't listening to him! Yeah, that tends to happen when I'm reading, I totally zone out.
Luckily, I am fast reader so as my father grabs The Bible, I actually don't mind much. But when I look at my friends faces, I see the blank plain faces looking at me. Apparently, my father must have done some voodoo Trynad mind controlling stuff to them again!
And then, when he looks at the cover, I can see unmistakable harrumph in his sharp cascading pupils. "So, it was this !blocking the ritual, never thought you'd become Christian so fast!", he mocks at me and it dawns upon me that if that Book has the power stop this family baloney, then I would choose It rather than anyone else. After all these words were the only ones who offered me comfort back when my brain was in shambles.
So I scream with all my lungs and try to seize the Bible to distract him from throwing It from the window, but sadly my distraction or seizing skills are so poor and I hear a ground rumbling thump of my dear friend, alone drenched in the rain. I see myself in Its state too, my pathetic self, all torn inside out by my own blood!
It was awful waterworks both outside and also with myself while my mother being the gentle person she was, fainted to the floor. Without missing a beat, my father tears open a maniacal laugh, very strange to his own daughter's eyes!
"Now, that I got all the blocks destroyed, you can become a Trynad and become the kingdom's princess!"
Whoa!whoa!whoa! Wait a second. Did I hear that right? Me a princess? And he? What? A delusional King? Already I'm feeling that this man standing here wasn't my father. Now he has to make even more complex!
Suddenly, he gave out a tight, shrilly shriek when out of the blue a huge fiery lightning strikes the window, a rain of shattered glass garland him.
The next thing what I do surprises even to myself! I actually say out loud the words that I read before which I never knew that I memorized! In a way to calm myself down.
"Though the fig tree may not blossom , Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail , And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold , And there be no herd in the stalls-
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord , I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet , And He will make me walk on my high hills."
I see my father dumbstruck, seeing me as if I was real or not as the thunders, lightning strikes and the heavy downpour stops completely!
Total calm and peace.
Even I can't believe it ! These are the Words of the true God who right now did a miracle I front of my own eyes! In fact I said those Words for a different reason. I was really shaken out of my head that this day could become any weirder.
My friends are in dazed condition. Check
My mother in a concussion. Check
My father being the delusional King and trynad wackiness (now that I look at him, he seems to be stupefied). Check
My dear friend Bible on the rainy ground. Check
These are the things not even a person with high ego can overcome! But then slowly, those last Words for some reason I say to myself.
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet , And He will make me walk on my high hills.
