A/N ok I'm only insanely heartbroken cause I wrote this WHOLE part out and NONE of it saved...I'm very mad so I had to rewrite the whole thing over!!!!! Grrrr anyways enjoy
Aphmaus POV
Garroth came up to me smiling holding a single red rose. He handed it to me.

"Garroth its a mission you didn't have to get me a flower" I say and he gives it to me anyways

"Missions need detail! By the way you look very beautiful tonight." I felt my face heat up slightly. Sure I was used to Laurence complimenting me but...it was different coming from Garroth.

"Thank you and you look very handsome" he blushed slightly also. He looks kinda cute...ok REALLY cute his hair wasn't done perfectly but it was done slightly. His suit fit him perfectly and the moonlight made his eyes look amazing...I swear those eyes can make a girl crazy!

"Shall we go now?" He said offering his arm

"We shall" I say smiling as I took his arm. We walked and seeing as how the kingdom was farther then the village we had some time to talk.

"So Aph...don't hit me for asking you this but...I noticed you blush at Cadenza's earlier...do you like me?" I thought for a moment...i guess I do but he can't know that!

"No! Don't be silly but I saw you blush does that mean you like me?"

"No but if I did it would be dumb to tell you after you just shot me down!" The way he said it made me think he does or maybe I'm thinking to much into this. I laugh a little.

"What's so funny?"

"Oh just the fact you like me and you're to scared to admit it!" He laughs too

"We're here!" We walk in after greeting the guards slightly. It was beautiful! The lights were hanging and there was soft music followed by laughter and talking.

"May I have this dance?" I turn to see Garroth holding his hand out with a goofy little smile.

"Yes you may" we danced and I have to say Garroth was an AMAZING dancer it was insane how good he was! I guess he wasn't the clutz I thought he was. After some more dancing and a little bit of mingling we started on the plan. Dale and Laurence distracted the guards so Garroth and I could have easy access to the treasure room. Garroth kept watch while I filled a bag with gold and dropped it out the window to Zenix. Once we were safe we went back to the ball. Garroth and I danced one more time and left.

"So did you enjoy yourself?" He asked

"Yes I did and you are a very good dancer"

"Heh thanks I guess"

Garroths POV
"The stars are beautiful tonight!" Aph exclaimed

"Yah..." But not nearly as beautiful and bright as you are.

"Garroth I have to admit something..." Woah

"What?"

"I...I DO kind of...like you..." My heart stopped. I blushed deeply. I felt my eyes widen as did my smile.

"I like you too" she looked at me face more red then netherack! I leaned in to kiss her and she did the same when

"RUNT! WHERE ARE YOU?" Zenix was looking for Aph...great Zenix...just great "oh there you are Runt! Come on I wanna show you the gold!" Zenix started to walk away as he was turning around he gave me a death glare.

"Be right there!" Aph said and then she turned to me. "Well I'm gonna go count the gold and divide I had fun tonight seeya back at base" and she went. I was THIS CLOSE to kissing Aph when we both wanted it and when we both admited our feelings. Something tells me Zenix didn't just happen to walk in.

Zenix's POV
I was walking back when I heard two voices. Runt and Garroth. I noticed they were about to kiss!! Runt is pretty much my sister I need to protect her but not make it obvious. I called for her and they pulled away. I then came out of the trees.

"Runt there you are come on let's go count the gold" as I was turning I gave Garroth a glare so cold I'm surprised he hadn't freezed on the spot.

"Be right there Zenix!" She said something to Garroth and caught up to me "don't think I didn't know what you were doing!" She elbowed me in the gut "I've told you once I've told you a thousand times, I can take care of myself I'm potty trained and everything!" She then went inside the base. I know it was a jerk move but she can't be kissing guys I want her to be happy and I don't think Garroth is the guy for her.

Aphmaus POV
Ugh Zenix stop being protective I was so close to kissing Garroth! I went into my room and closed the door quickly. I sat on my bed thinking of my anger towards Zenix right now. Then there was a knock. I opened the door and Garroth was standing there.

"Hey" he smiled a smirk that was so cute!

"Hey..."

"I was holding onto your rose and you forgot it here" he said handing me the rose.

"Thanks you realise Zenix barged in on purpose"

"I kinda got that" he came in and sat on the bed.

"Anyways its late"

"Yah I'll go" he came over and kissed my cheek. Which wasn't what I expected but still sweet "Goodnight Aph"

"Goodnight Garroth" and with that he left. I plopped down on my bed replaying everything that happened. Stupid Zenix! There was another knock this time it was Zenix.

"Aphmau may I speak to you?" I knew he was serious because he didn't call me Runt.

"Sure you're not interrupting anything!"

"I'm sorry I just go crazy I'm overprotective I know but...could you forgive me?"

"Maybe I don't know I'm tired can we talk in the morning?"

"Yea that's ok" and then he went away. I put on some pajamas and went to bed...well tried. I couldn't sleep because my thoughts were very loud! The next morning I went to breakfast and Garroth was missing. I figured he just over slept so I didn't bother wondering. He didn't come at all. I remember when he would bring me some breakfast if I didn't show up so I did the same. I walked up to the dark oak door and knocked. Garroth answered and saw me.

"Uh hey Aph! What's up?" He scratched the back of his neck nervously

"I thought you'd want some breakfast...why didn't you come down?"

"I didn't wanna be around Zenix...I'm not his favorite guy right now thanks a lot for the food I appreciate it"

"It was no problem you usually bring me breakfast so I figured I would return the favor" he took the plate and looked like he was debating something in his head.

Garroth POV
I was debating whether to kiss her cheek or not...I decided not to.

"Well I should go seeya!" Aph waved goodbye I walked back in my room and started eating. I finished eating and went to practice trying to figure out how I would get that kiss from Aph. I had to make sure Zenix wasn't around first...what should I do?
