Garroths pov
I was walking down the hallway when I felt someone jump on my back. Two slender hands covered my eyes. I heard footsteps and listened.

"Guess who?" Dale, he obviously wasn't on my back he was the one walking by.

"Zoey"

The person on my back smacked the side of my head

"Nicole?"

Another smack

"....Laurence?"

Before she could smack my head a grabbed her wrist.

"Hello Aph" she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed my cheek.

"Hiya handsome" Aph nuzzled her head into the crook of my neck "how's your arm?"

"Honey, its been four months I'm fine"

"I still worry"

"You shouldn't"

She didn't get off my back so I dealt with it. I needed to go to my room and do some research. I walked in and dropped Aph onto my bed. She giggled and took a deep breath.

"Mmm your sheets smell like you" she sighed

"Well it'd be strange if they smelled like anyone else"

"They should smell like me too."

"Aph, your always jumping on me and we're together enough that your smell rubbed off on me reality is we smell like each other" I sat at my desk and flipped through some papers looking for where I last left off. I felt two arms wrap around my neck and a chin rested on my head.

"Take a break from these dusty old books and lets spend some time together" she cooed

"Well, I'm looking for a way to save Zenix"

"I know, and I don't want you to spend every waking moment on this. If you don't take a break from time to time then you will just end up not doing anything or learning. Come on let's take a break" she gave me puppy dog eyes and batted her eyes.

"Ok ok ten minutes"

She pulled my hand to the living room and sat me down. Once she was standing in front of me she stared at my face

"Let's go on an adventure!!!"

"Aph I said ten minutes"

"Oh come on!! We need to explore this place I found! It's this little cave with a blue portal...BLUE!!!! That's never been seen we gotta check it out!!"

"Alright"

"Yay!! You're the best I love you so much" Aph ran around grabbing things and packing. In five minutes she was ready.

"Ready?" I chuckled

"Yup!! Lets go!!!" We ran to the cave and sure enough there it was. A blue portal.

Aphmaus pov
Going through I saw what I least expected. A forest...except...it seemed...enchanted. Surrounded by trees was a well. It was overgrown and looked beautiful.

We walked up and I read the golden plate on the well out loud.

"A wish from the heart and it shall take part to erase what you used to yearn, realise what you've learned"

"And that means...?"

"Oh I don't know but its strange..."

"Can we go back now? I really want to get back to my books."

Garroth went through the portal and was gone. I stared down into he well and sighed loudly.

"If only I could go back in time...and change things..."

I was thinking of Zenix. I could've stopped this. I took out a small copper coin and threw it in.

Well time to head back.
