Vylads pov
Ever since Malachi and I left its been a lot more pleasant. He's really funny sometimes and he's good company.
We walked through a field of snow. We arrived next to a place that was all to familiar. I started to get dizzy and felt myself falling but was out of it before I hit the ground.

Malachis pov
So I was just talking when Vylad blacked out. I didn't know what to do so I looked around. I saw a girl with red hair shooting arrows so I ran to her.

"Miss!!! My friend passed out I need your help!!!"

She gave a nod and followed me to Vylad.

"He will need warmth because this is  snowy aea and he can't move to keep his body warm"

Without any struggle the lady hoisted Vylad over her shoulder and carried him out of the deep snow. She helped set up camp and placed Vylad in a sleeping bag. Once she was finished treating him she sat across from me.

"So what's your name?"

"Malachi what's yours?"

"Nicole"

"Why were you out in the middle of nowhere shooting arrows?"

"I practice far away from anyone so I don't have the risk of hurting anyone"

Vylad started to wake up. He slowly rose and when he saw Nicole he pulled out his sword and scrambled to his feet.

"No Vylad! She's nice"

He shook his head in disbelief, gathered his bag, and bolted. Nicole started to get up but I stopped her.

"Don't bother. He told me before we adventured if he ever ups and leaves then to just let him go."

"That's terrible you're only a kid"

"Yeah well people look at a spectre and immediately run or try to hurt me so I'm used to seeing people run"

"I know people who won't leave you"

"Really...?"

"Yeah come on"

Nicole and I walked to a waterfall. She moved a boulder and a staircase was under it. I went down and she covered the hole up behind us. We walked through a hallway and to a spruce door. Three knocks later a woman appeared.

"Aphmau this is Malachi he has nowhere to go"

Nowhere to go

The words echoed through my head. I was alone Vylad left as I expected him to do soon after I met him. Everyone left me nobody wanted to stay with me. I'm the freak spectre who makes others scared. Why would they want me? Before I had the chance to stop the tears they were already flowing. I felt two warm arms wrap around my small frame.

"What's wrong?"

Her voice was soothing like my mother's was before I died. The sobbing thickened and I couldn't control anything.

"Shhh its alright"

I was pulled onto a lap and was curled into a ball. Feeling vulnerable and week.

"N-no one i-is th-there for m-me" I choked out

"It's ok I'm here for you"

I look up and two big kind eyes were smiling down at me. I felt safe in her embrace.

"My name is Aphmau....would you like to be my...son...?"

"R-really?!?"

"If you want"

"B-but I'm a-a spectre! N-nobody loves me!"

"I see you as a child in need of a parent"

"Y-yes!!! I would love to be your son....promise you won't leave me?"

"Of course! I swear! I promise"

I felt my tears of sadness turn into joy. Someone wants me? Nobody has ever loved me. My parents wanted to rid of me because of my power and Mr. Thomas despised the fact he could do nothing to save me.

I finally have a home where I'm loved.
