Chapter 41
"Are we ready to attack?" Shian asked. They were standing outside of one base. It was the one they were stuck in and were to stay in until their death. Hayden had hacked into information that was being kept on the Internet by Kalina, and found that this place only has a few norma guards that patrol the inside. It was going to be an easy defeat.
"Yeah," Sadie replied. She stretched out her arms and clipped her knife to her back. The group decided that she needed a knife because her ghost powers can be not immediately effective, so the knife can ward off close attackers.
"Let's go in," Hayden said.
"Okay, Sadie and I will go in second floor windows and you and Beatrix will go in the first floor windows," Shian said.
"Great," Beatrix said, "See you inside." Beatrix and Hayden ran to windows on opposite sides of the building. Hayden's window was unlocked, so he climbed straight inside. No guards where near and he saw Beatrix hop in through the window on the other side. He gave a thumbs up and she nodded. Hayden creeped along until he spotted a guard. The guard pointed a gun at him, but Hayden grabbed him by the neck.
"Don't scream," he whispered to the guard. The guard almost screamed, but Hayden covered his mouth. Hayden grabbed a rope from his pocket and tied up the guard. He grabbed tape and taped over the guard's mouth and brought him to the floor. Hayden taped the guard to the floor. "Don't move or I won't be so kind," Hayden muttered to the guard. The guard's eyes widened and he quickly nodded. Hayden ran off and into the kitchen. Beatrix was burning a guard to a crisp. His skin was black and he slowly fell to the ground. "Good work," Hayden whispered to Beatrix.
"Thanks," she said and kissed him on the cheek.
"A real kiss? I need it for luck," Hayden asked.
"After we win, maybe a victory kiss," she smiled. She ran out of the kitchen and Hayden walked out to the hallway. He spotted another guard. Hayden ran over to the guard and punched him in the gut. The guard doubled over and fell to the ground.
"Don't talk and maybe I'll just leave you with a bad memory," Hayden warned.
"Not gonna happen," the guard sneered, pulling out a gun.
"Then I have to do this," Hayden said. He punched the guard over and over in the stomach, and then in the neck. The guard's eyes rolled back into his head and Hayden slowly walked away. Sometimes he felt bad about killing people, but then he remembered that they were monsters that would kill them without question. That always made him feel better. Hayden opened a closet and threw the body in the closet and locked the closet. Sadie and Shian ran down the stairs that were next to the closet.
"Are they all dead?" Shian asked.
"I have one taped to the floor in the entry way," Hayden said.
"We can leave him as a reminder to Kalina that we're better than her because we live some alive," Sadie said.
"Okay, where is Beatrix?" Shian asked.
"Right here," Beatrix said, entering the conversation.
"Are we ready to go?" Shian asked.
"Yep," Hayden replied, then turned to Beatrix. "What about that victory kiss?" He asked with a smirk.
"Fine," she said. She kissed him on the lips and then turned back to Sadie and Shian, who were staring at them weirdly. "I promised him a victory kiss, alright?" She said with annoyance that they were being weird.
"It's fine," Shian said. They all huddled together and Shian used his magic to transport them all back to the shelter. The second battle of the war is complete, and so far the war is 2-0.
A/N nice little chapter, sort of like revenge on that place. Anyway, question time!
Are any other characters based on people?
Nope. Stanley and Stanford are the only ones.
Remember to ask me questions and thanks for reading!
