"So, now what do we do?" Hayden asked.
"Well, I'm going to give this day off from training," Shian said, "You guys need it." Hayden glanced over at Beatrix and she smiled at him. "Remember, don't leave the building," Shian said, getting up from the table and putting his plate in the dishwasher.
"Like we would want to go into dark, scary woods where an evil, insane siren is probably searching for us and wanting to murder us, maybe even torture us first," Sadie said.
"And no sass to me either," Shian said.
"It's not sass if it's true," Sadie countered.
"It still is," he replied.
"Whatever, at least I'm not some cranky wizard," Sadie muttered. Beatrix and Hayden tried to hold in a laugh.
"I heard that," Shian called. He walked out of the room and to the living room and plopped down on the couch.
"What do you guys want to do today?" Beatrix asked Hayden and Sadie.
"I was thinking we could watch a movie," Sadie suggested.
"Or Beatrix and I could hang out alone," Hayden said with a smile.
"Or we could compromise and watch a movie and Beatrix and you could have some alone time later," Sadie suggested, "As long as I get to talk to her after your alone time."
"Deal," Hayden said.
"What if I want some input into this plan?" Beatrix said.
"What do you want to do then?" Sadie asked.
"I like that plan, I just said that so you knew I had a brain and I wasn't some plastic mannequin," Beatrix replied.
"Okay, well, let's watch the movie!" Sadie exclaimed. We walked over to the couch and sat down.
"What are you guys doing?" Shian asked as they squeezed him when they sat down.
"Watching a movie," Hayden said.
"What movie?" He asked.
"Probably some Disney movie," Beatrix said.
"Okay," Shian said, "Can I breathe though?"
"No," Sadie said, digging her elbow into his ribs.
"Ouch!" He exclaimed, digging his elbow into her ribs.
"No thank you," she said, pushing him off the couch.
"I'm not going down without a fight," Shian smiled. He grabbed Sadie's leg and pulled her down with him
"Stop flirting you two," Hayden said.
"We're not flirting!" They both exclaimed at the same time, forcing Beatrix and Hayden to burst into laughter.
"Not so sure about that," Beatrix smiled, "Anyway, I'm going to start the movie." She hit a button on the remote and the movie started. Shain and Beatrix sat back on the couch, but looked at each awkwardly the whole movie.
The movie soon ended and Hayden grabbed Beatrix's arm and pulled her into the fire proof chamber. "Why are we in here?" Beatrix asked.
"It's the best way to get privacy," Hayden smiled.
"That's good," Beatrix said.
"I also thought that maybe Sadie and Shian need their privacy," Hayden smiled.
"Yeah," Beatrix said, "Sadie's been acting weird around Shian since he got back, and also how she was crying so much when he 'died' also confused me, I think she likes him."
"Not as much as I love you though," he smiled. He leaned over and kissed her forehead.
"But I love you even more," she laughed.
"Not sure about that," he said. He kissed her full on the lips and wrapped his arms around her waist. She put her arms around his neck and he pulled her closer to him. She broke off.
"I promised Sadie that I would talk to her," she started.
"You have all day for that," he said.
"You're right," Beatrix smiled. She kissed him on the cheek. He pulled her close to him and they sat there for at least an hour just cuddling. "Now, I should go talk to Sadie," Beatrix said.
"Yeah," he said, standing up with her.
"I love you," she said, kissing him.
"I love you too," Hayden replied, kissing her back. Beatrix walked out of the fireproof chamber with Hayden and saw Sadie and Shian sitting next to each other on the couch, very close together. Sadie was leaning on him and Shian had his arm around her.
"Hello," Beatrix said.
"What?!" Sadie exclaimed, surprised and turning around.
"Oh it's just you two," Shian said with a sigh of relief.
"I came out because I promised Sadie I would talk to her," Beatrix said.
"Oh, right," Sadie said, "Bye Shian." She stood up and Sadie and Beatrix walked into the fireproof chamber.
"So what is going on between you and Shian?" Beatrix asked.
"Well, he asked me out and I said yes," she said quietly.
"Wow," she said, "I would never expect you two."
"Well, it worked out," Sadie said, "Now, what did you and Hayden do?"
"We kissed and cuddled," Beatrix said. Then they heard breaking wood and bricks crumbling.
Hayden opened the door to the chamber quickly, "Kalina's army just burst down the door."
