Hayden went downstairs and into the kitchens. Shian's death had shaken him, but not too terribly. For him, it meant that there was nobody here to steal his girl, except for Daniel, but he seemed to have his heart set on Sadie. Anyway, Hayden went down to the kitchen and grabbed a pancake and gobbled it down. He also had a few sausages and some fruit. Soon, Daniel joined him.
"Hello," Hayden said, finishing up his banana.
"Hi," Daniel said. He seemed to be distracted by something.
"Is anything bothering you?" Hayden asked.
"No, I'm fine, it's just Sadie and I finally made up and now I don't know what to do with her," he said, sitting down with Hayden.
"Oh, I thought Sadie had given up on you," Hayden thought aloud, "But anyway, I understand how it is."
"Can you help me?" He asked.
"Sure, hang out with her. Get to know her more. Maybe go take a walk around outside," Hayden suggested.
"Sounds good, thanks for the advice," Daniel said.
"No problem," Hayden replied. Daniel stood up and went back upstairs. Hayden finished off my breakfast and went upstairs as well, but went to Beatrix's room.
Hayden knocked on the door. "Hello?" He called out.
"Come on in," Beatrix said. He slowly opened the door and saw Beatrix still laying in bed reading a book.
"Good morning, sunshine," He said, sitting down next to her.
"Good morning to you as well," she said.
"What are you reading?" He asked.
"Oh, just something I found here," she replied.
"What is it called," he asked again.
"The Lightning Theif," she replied, turning a page.
"By whom?" He persisted.
"Rick Riordan," she answered.
"Haven't you already read those books? Didn't you read them at the same time I did?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm just rereading it, it was the only book here," she answered.
"Let's do something, because, no matter how beautiful you look, watching you read isn't exactly prime entertainment." Hayden suggested.
"We could cuddle and watch a movie," she said, putting down her book.
"I like that plan," he replied. Luckily, there was a tv in Beatrix's room, so they could stay there. Hayden cuddled in with Beatrix and grabbed the remote and chose a movie. The movie started and Hayden wrapped his arm around Beatrix.
"This is nice," Beatrix said quietly, snuggling in closer to Hayden.
"Yeah, I know," he replied. He slowly leaned in and kissed her on the cheek. She giggled quietly and kissed him back on the cheek.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too," he replied. "There's one thing you should know about me though," he added.
"What is that? There can't be much I don't know about you," she said.
"I'm greedy," he said. He leaned down and kissed her full on the lips. It was a pleasant surprise for Beatrix and she kissed back. He broke off and smiled. "That was-" He was cut off from a shriek coming from Sadie's room.
