The fire had completely burnt out during the night. It was so cold that I woke up shivering and sniffling. I could hear Father's loud snoring, and I knew he was still sleeping soundly.

"I'll get the wood for Mom" I thought, and I slipped on my shoes to go outside. I barely had the door open when I saw her looking right at me.

"Mom is that you?" i ask seeing a female silhouette in the dim lighting from the lamp in the living room. She doesn't answer. I stand there looking at her as she looks at me. All of a sudden she turns and walks towards the room her and Father share. 'She must have been sleep walking' i thought to myself.

I open the door to the cabin and walk out. I continue along the side of the cabin to find that we are out of chopped wood. I sigh and turn to go back into the cabin when i hear a twig break i look up in time to see someone hide behind a tree.

A rush of fear courses through me. We are in the middle of nowhere in my grandfathers old cabin. I freeze when i see someones head poke out from behind the tree. We make eye contact. As i start running back towards the front door i hear footsteps running towards me, which only makes me run faster. I fight the urge to scream, knowing that that won't do any good, i run through the door slamming it shut behind me, then locking it.

I rest by back on the door, trying to catch my breath, when all of a sudden something occurred to me. I shut the door behind me, and when i ran in the door was wide open. My eyes widen in terror. I hear the floorboards creak and my head snaps to the side where i see a man and woman standing there.

"Wh-who are y-you?" i ask.

They don't answer, they just stand there staring at me. My heart is beating so fast it feels like it's beating out of my chest. 'What am i supposed to do' i think to myself. I look from the people to my parents room. I can't hear fathers snoring anymore.
