Mr. Oberoi started the gift ceremony by gifting numerous gifts to Annika. He blessed her and Shivay by kissing their foreheads. The beautiful diamond set he gave to Annika made the jaws of other ladies drop. It was really a pretty and classy necklace. Mr. Wadhwa also gave his precious blessing to the couple and the baby. He gave Shivay a brand new car while for his daughter he arranged a bunch of some really beautifully designed dresses. Annika and Shivay couldn't stop smiling. After them people started gifting them and congratulating them for the upcoming good news.

It was now Karan's turn to gift the couple something. He was now not in a condition to talk and thus sat on wheelchair. The servant took him to the couple. He smiled warmly at him although the smile was faint and weak.

"Shivay and Annika many congratulations for this star that is gonna shine your lives soon. I can't express my feelings in words, I m just so overwhelmed and excited to meet my champ or my princess. I wish I could meet the baby but even if I didn't, just give all my love to him. Here a small gift from my side, although it's nothing in front of what you guys are gifting me." he said with moist eyes and handed over a packet to them.

Shivay took the gift hugging Karan while Annika just smiled with teary eyes. How they both wish they could hold him back for years to come. This was such an irony, a life was coming to an end while a life was coming to existence.

Eventually the Pooja ended, everything went too well. The party was over and Shivika was back into their room.

Both of them got changed into their night wears and now it was time to open the gifts they received. Of course Shivay was too tired to open the gifts and all he wanted was to pamper and love his wifey but Annika was adamant on opening some of the gifts, she was more excited than a baby after all.

They started unwrapping the gifts. All of them were really beautiful. Some people gifted baby toys, some gifted accessories for Annika, some gifted them clothes for the baby and the parents, some gifted them baby essentials. She was about to open some other gifts when a beautiful box caught her attention with her name written on it. She excitedly opened the box, it had a paper like thing with a message on it which read....

It took her no other second to guess who could have got that gift for her. With a great gratitude in her eyes in the form of uncountable tears she looked at him and hugged him. He was just staring at him with a pleasant smile.

"Thanku Shivay" she said sobbing.

This was really a great gift. Lovers usually promised each other of getting the moon and stars for them but her husband actually bought one on her name. She could not be less happy over the fact that he loved her so much.

"Annika?? Will you stop crying baby? I mean I have gifted this one to you to make you happy but instead you are crying, you know I hate watching you cry right!?" Shivay said kissing her hair while caressing her back.

"Ya but I just feel like crying. I never imagined I will have a star on my name. This is so special. You have been amazing me with beautiful gifts since you got to know that I m pregnant but I haven't gifted you anything, not a single one" she sobbed making him chuckle. This girl was really crazy.

"Hey Ronaldo Singh Oberoi, can you please ask your mommy to stop crying? She is one crazy women, she cries when she is happy, she cries when she is sad! Just tell her that for daddy, she is the most beautiful gift and after that you are the best gift she is soon gonna bless me with. What's the value of those stars in front of her and you? Please tell her that I love her a lot and she is my star which is more precious to me than those shining in the sky" he said looking at her baby bump.

She was so touched with what all he said. She did nothing but cupped his face with her delicate fingers and the next moment she smashed her lips on his. He was taken aback for this sudden action his bold wife amazed him with. He responded back to the kiss of immense love which she poured on him. After the kiss he trailed her neck down with numerous soft pecks and kisses. She arched back in pleasure giving him space to devour her. He started licking the crook of her neck while she pulled his face more into herself. None of them knew when the clothes were thrown on the floor and their naked bodies were sticking to each other exploring each and every corner. The night was long and so was the session of love.

The morning was as beautiful as the night with the lovers clinging onto each other. Annika opened up her eyes and saw her handsome husband sleeping peacefully. She kissed his nose and trailed his face with her fingers. He was one beautiful man with amazingly carved features. How she wished his baby gets blessed with the same attractive features. After adding him for sometime she looked at the star registration certificate again and the memories of the beautiful night surpassed her mind. The fact that he loved her so much literally brought tears in her eyes. She thanked her stars for blessing her with his presence and went into the washroom to get freshen up.

After sometime she came back and tried to set the room which looked as if a disaster had hit it last night. As she couldn't bend she thought of telling Shivay to pick up the clothes from the floor which literally brought a blush on her face. How crazily and impatiently they made love last night. She threw the wrapping paper of all the gifts. As soon as she went near the couch which was loaded with the gift boxes, her eyes fell on Karan's gift. She picked it up and went to the bed to open it.

"Shivayy! Shivayy wake up" she said looking at Karan's gift curiously and excitedly.

She could not wait to see what has he got for them.

"Let me sleep Annika" Shivay said covering his face with a cushion.

"Sleep wake up or else I'll pour a glass full of water on you" as soon as she said this Shivay was sitting on the bed rubbing his eyes like a baby.

Annika literally giggled looking at him. He actually freaked out with the thought of her throwing water on him coz he knew she is capable of doing it anywhere anytime.

"What is wrong Annika?" he asked in a sleepy tone lying his head on her lap.

"Wake up Shivay, I am gonna open Karan's gift. Let's see what have he gifted" she said while Shivay just said "hmm" still lying on her lap with closed eyes.

Annika unwrapped the packet, and saw a file. She opened the file to see some papers in it. As soon as she read what was written on the paper, her eyes started pouring uncountable tears which fell on Shivay's face who was lying down on her lap.

Feeling something wet on his cheeks he opened his eyes to see Annika crying. He sat up with a jerk in amazement and shock watching her cry looking at the file in her hands.

"What's it baby? Why you crying?" Shivay asked her while taking the file from her hand and reading it.

Shivay was no different, although he was a man but a human being too. He also got hurt, he also felt the pain. The things written on those papers literally shook him away.

The file had some property transfer documents which said that all the property of Karan now belonged to Annika and Shivay in equal halves and it it is to be transferred on the baby's name once the baby takes birth.

Both Shivay and Annika could not react for sometime. They froze with shock, they were numb. It was only their eyes doing the action, pouring painful tears. Shivay side hugged Annika and let his tears fall while Annika hid her face in his chest and held his collar tightly.

"We can't take it Shivay. I don't know how to help him. This is really disheartening to know that he is aware he is dying. We can't let him do this, we can't take it" Annika sobbed.

"We won't Annika. We will talk to him" Shivay said caressing her hair while closing his eyes to hide the pain.

How was this possible? How could Karan transfer his everything, each of his single penny on their name? They can't accept it. This was not right.

Shivay and Annika decided to talk to him. Karan was lying closing his eyes when Shivika went to him.

"Karan, how you feeling?" Shivay asked making him open his eyes. He knew Karan was not sleeping.

"Hey! I m fine, come sit you both" he said giving them both a sparkling smile.

"Karan..we..I mean Thanku so much for" Annika tried to say when he stopped her.

"Annika, I know why you both are here but let me tell you if you guys think that I m gonna reconsider my decision so let me tell you I m sorry, I can't." Karan said.

"Karan listen to me, we know you have done this out of your happiness but we can't take it, please" Shivay tried to make him understand but he didn't listen.

"Shivay! Don't I have any right on the baby? Why are you both being so formal? I mean I know things would have different had I been fine but now that my life is coming to an end what all I m gonna do with the earning and property I made? Who do you think deserves it all? I don't have anyone in my life who can take a good care of it. It's only you both whom I can trust. I know I m no one to the baby, but" he was about to say something

"Shut up Karan! Stop saying this. The baby is yours too just like he is ours, right Annika?" Shivay said.

"Yes Karan. Just like you have been our angel friend, you are the baby's angel uncle" she said making him smile.

"So then accept this gift by this angel friend of yours. Please you both" Karan said trying to convince them.

Both Shivay and Annika felt loss of words at his request. They knew it was hard but they could not break his heart, not at this time. They smiled at him assuring him that they have catered to his wish. Life was unexpected and so was their friend. Both Annik and Shivay never expected him to gift something like that too the baby. At one hand it was too much but on the other hand it was really touchy too. They just wanted Karan to have peace. That's what they can wish for now.
